Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Headphones Overall these headphones are great and a really solid product. The sound quality is top notch in the high end, but lacks in the low end with bass. Unless the ear pieces are fully pushed into your ear canal, you can't hear any bass and because of the design they have to be pushed very far in to stay inside your ears, otherwise they pop (half way) out of your ear leaving. The build quality of the product is very nice and has a good feel to the touch and when they're snug inside your ears. And the fact that they have a lightning connector is perfect for any recent iPhone use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative for travel Used these headphones for a recent trip where I didn't want to bring along my bulkier headphones that I normally use (noise cancelling and bluetooth). The sound was comparable to the apple headphones that came with my iPhone. The cord has a volume adjustment switch and a pause button. I really liked the cord. It is a flat cord that doesn't tangle as easily as the apple head phone cord. The sound quality was good, however, the bass is a little lacking.. not tinny, but missing some of the low end. Overall, I am impressed with the headphones and will definitely use them when traveling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headphone option for iPhones The Rockstar Headphones with Lightning Connector are the perfect solution for the newer iPhones that don't have a typical headphone jack... and are way better than trying to find a dongle! These headphones are comfortable, and provide a good bit of noise isolation since they sit in your ear. I used them for an entire 8 hour day at work and was comfortable for the most part of the day. The right ear has the microphone / controls attached to it. The controls are a little heavier than other similar style headphones, and this caused for just a little tingle on my ear after wearing for a prolonged period of time. It didn't cause any discomfort, but you definitely notice the weight. The biggest annoyance for me was that the controls had defined edges that would catch on my collar when I turned my head. After about the 12th time, I was pretty annoyed. If the microphone/controls were just an inch lower for me, they would be much more comfortable. I loved the smart design clip to hold one earbud during single-ear listening. This is the first time I've seen a feature like this, and made it convenient to take phone calls using only one earbud. Overall the sound quality is good, about the same as other similar low-cost earbuds. These headphones will make a nice addition to my travel bag for use while my bluetooth headphones are recharging.

The lightning connector allows me to use them with my iPad and my iPhone X. The tight fit blocks ambient noise which is very helpful for some of my airline travel. The sound is excellent with great bass. The inline controls are very useful and simple to use. Overall, they are a great product to have in your bag, briefcase, or backpack.

There is not L-R indication on the earbuds which would of been nice, but one should still be able to tell what feels comfortable once in the ear. Wore at the gym and work great! Since the wiring is light and thin, I wonder how it will hold up over time. Time will tell. Otherwise, great lightening plug. Simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Clarity These headphone are beautifully designed and comfortable to wear. They come with three sized ear buds made of soft rubber. They stay in position even while exercising and they have a special flat, tangle-free cable. But most important, the sound was brilliant. I was able to hear individual instruments with amazing clarity. In fact, outstanding clarity is how I would sum up these headphones in two words. The moment I started the music I was struck by the definition and quality of individual instruments. Frankly, I’ve never been a big fan of using headphones but these sold me on how much fun it is to listen to music with them. Good bass, mid-tones and high tones. My only suggestion would be that they could make the right & left lettering on them easier to read.

The playback controls are just at the right length of the cord and are very convenient when you want to change your song or adjust volume level while keeping your iPhone tucked away in your pocket. The cord is tangle resistent which is very helpful when stored in the pocket. The sound quality is good but the sound is not the greatest considering it's a wired headphone. I would rate the quality very similar to the standard wired headphones that Apple has provided with their past iPhones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small upgrade from Earpods I got this product about 2 weeks ago and although they are nice and very easy to use they do not have the sound quality I expected. They provide a strong foundation for sealing in your ear to keep the outside world quiet for focusing. I would say the they are great for student trying to focus on work looking for a slightly better quality then the EarPods. They come with multiple different ear options to help with with fit and seal. Sound quality is missing a lot of high end info but work well for podcasts if you are really into them I would set some type of EQ boost to help clear up the quality. Overall they are a decent pair of headphones for those looking to ditch/replace their EarPods.

Having an iPhone X, it's difficult to find a high quality pair of headphones with the lightning connector...until now. These headphones fit in my ears really well and the music and phone controls are easy to use. These have become my new conference call headphones...the built-in microphone works great! Highly recommend!

The sound quality is clear, and when on calls, the other party could hear me with ease. Do not touch the cable too much. You will hear an echo. Also, the noise isolation does not work well. I can hear my surroundings. Connection: When I plug in the connector into my iPhone, the sound does not automatically change from my iPhone to the headphones. I have to unplug and plug back in, for the sound to go through the headset. Material Quality: The ear tips are comfortable and fit snug into my ears. The volume buttons worked every time. The wire is flexible, which allowed for the headphones to be wound up tight and compact. The material of the cable, however, does feel cheap. Overall: The headphones are decent to use when you're sitting and not moving around too much. I will not use it while exercising due to the echo issue.

Instead of it being the typical flimsy wiring, it is thick and flat, making it less likely to break or fray. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

They sound good and feel great in the ear. Belkin provides multiple ear cushions, so you can find that perfect fit - a nice change from the standard buds. The best feature is the no-tangle cord though. How many times have you found your buds tangled up in the bottom of a bag? These are flat and won't get knotted up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sounds good, controls could be improved. These headphones are pretty standard in ear noise isolation earbuds. I liked the customizable earbuds, so they should fit any ear size. The noise isolation is good, and music sounds decent. I wasn’t blown away by how my music sounded, some pop/rock, but they didn’t sound horrible either. One thing I didn’t like was the placement of the controls. I understand that the placement makes the mic around the level of your mouth for talking, but I feel they were too high up to be easy to use. I would’ve like them to be further from the earbud and maybe just omit the mic altogether. Since they are noise isolating with no sound pass through, it would be hard to speak on the phone with them, and you would probably sound very loud to someone next to you. Overall they’re a decent pair of noise isolating earbuds.

Otherwise they sound great. Call quality is great. Controls are easy to use by feel. Seems like good quality. I would recommend.

I also like the black color as the white tends to darken over time. The ROCKSTAR Headphones use the sealing earbud configuration, which does reduce external sound and tends to stay in the ear better due to the in-ear "fit". These are better for more rigorous activities.

Really works well with all types of audio whether you are watching a movie/tv show, or listening to any genre of music or podcasts. It’s pretty solid all the way around. The tips are comfortable to wear. They do not fall out when working out. And did I mention water resistance and tangle free flat cord. Can’t go wrong with these headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Apple alternative lightning connector headphones I got these headphones from Belkin in return for my honest review. In a world full of wireless headphones, I feel like these are a decent backup. My daily drivers are beatsX wireless headphones, so my review may compare these new ROCKSTAR headphones to them a lot since they share similar design elements. First and foremost, comfort...I hate an uncomfortable headphone. I can honestly say that these ROCKSTAR headphones are comfortable for all day use without taking a toll on your ears. They come with adjustable soft rubber tips so choose your size accordingly. I like to judge my earbuds by how comfortable they are while laying dow also. I’d give these a mediocre rating there, but we’re talking more about day to day comfort and not how well we sleep with them in. On the outside left and right buds, one side is concave and the other is convex. This would lead me to believe that they should magnetically connect together on the backside like a lot of newer earbuds on the market. These ones do not however, leaving me to wonder why they chose this design. Maybe for identification between right and left? There is a microphone and volume controls on the right side cable. The volume controls are easily found by the little plastic nubs on the up and down sections of the control, however I found the center pause/answer call/end call button to be a little lost while reaching for it. I usually ended up just answering and ending calls from my phone directly. As far as call quality, I have nothing negative to say. Calls were clear and no one questioned weather I was on my phone or a headset. Now onto sound quality...I found these headphones to be lacking in bass, but only partially. I compared them back and forth on the same set of songs with my beatsX wireless which are known for heavy bass all the time. I feel like the ROCKSTAR earbuds matched the bass levels when the bass was lower, but felt lacking in the real low bass tones. They hit the highs and mids with a punch. They were clear and very pronounced. If you like clarity in your highs and mids (Who doesn’t?) then you cannot go wrong here. They are a great and more comfortable alternative to apple’s standard EarPods with the clarity of calls and music that we’d expect from such a product.

I have to say that the sound quality is better that any of the headphones that I own. The sound quality is crisp and bright with a nice bass.These headphones will be my go to headphone when I want to listen to music. One thing that I wish the headphones came with is a clip. I've always found it convenient to be able to clip the cord to my collar. They are a great value for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit & Finish & function - Nicely done Belkin! Packaging: As always, I really like Belkin’s’ packaging. It’s durable. It looks nice. Easy to open. And protects its content very well. This product is no different. Easy to open and very well done. Sorry... I tend to be long winded. : ) Fit & Finish & function: This is a standard headphone/earphone. But, as with the majority of Belkin products I was nicely surprised at some of the details. I’ve bought dozens of headphones over the years and in comparison, this headphone is very nicely done. Better than most. The finishing touches are what I’ve come to expect from my Belkin products. Stylish but not overdone. Flawless finish. And of course, thoughtfully designed. The junction of the cable and earpiece is perfect. The cable to lightning connector is also well done. I have nothing bad to say about this aspect of this particular product concerning the way it is put together. It has one nice touch that at first, I didn’t know what to make of. At the ‘Y’ junction of the cable, where it splits to the right and left earpiece there is a small ‘docking’ piece. I don’t know what to call it and at first, I didn’t know what to make of it. But after using these in the car I found it useful indeed. The piece is meant to stick one of the two earpieces in and hold it. In my use when I’m driving, I often prefer only one earpiece in. Otherwise I feel too isolated from the environment. I like to hear the traffic around me. People honking, maybe a siren in the distance, etc… I just feel more aware of my surroundings in the horrendous Chicago rush hour traffic. BUT when you have only one earpiece in the other usually dangles about, gets tangled, pulls the other out of you ear, etc… Well, that little docking thing holds the other earpiece so if/when I want only one ear piece in I don’t have to deal with the other flailing around. Sounds silly, but after using it this way for about 45 minutes I realized it was ingenious. Nuff said about that thingy. The flat cable is a nice touch. Its tough. I think this set will last 3 times as long as most others I’ve had over the years. But only time will tell. The earpieces are REALLY nice. Well finished. See my pics attached to this review. As with most earbuds these came with three sets of ear-bud tips. I used the size that were put on at the factory and they fit me perfect. As I will talk about next, my wife used the small and those were perfect for her. Sound Quality: Solid. Not perfect but solid. I have a few sets that sound better BUT those were two to three times the price and don’t feel are nearly as durable. These have a well-rounded sound. I wish the highs were just a bit more crisp and I wish the soundstage was a bit wider, deeper and more detailed, but I didn’t pay $200 for them either. The bass is a little flat but well enough pronounced to enjoy without being overbearing. Both my wife an I used them and we both drew the same conclusion. Her with her classical music, me with my classic rock and blues. But one of the primary purposes was for talking on the phone. My concern was sound quality on both ends of the conversation. Would the mic perform? How was it at filtering ambient noise? How clear was the voice on the other end. In all these aspects this set shines. I was able to test these on both the caller and receiver side. My wife called me while we were both driving, and we swapped and I called her. In both scenarios we were both more than pleasantly surprised. Not one bit of rustling sound when we moved the cable around. The voices both ways were perfectly clear. Though you could tell the mic was doing some noise canceling/filtering work on ambient sound and contact sounds it was excellent. My wife concurred. The controls worked flawlessly. I would buy again and I would suggest these for any one with an iPhone who needs or wants a wired solution and a good price. My nit-picks; - I wish the highs where a bit crisper. I give them 7 out of 10 here. - I wish the bass was a bit punchier and well rounded. I give them a 7 out of 10 here. - I wish the sound-stage was more defined and detailed. I give them another 7 out of 10 here. My Pros; - Belkin quality in build, fit and finish. - Nice dock feature for the unused earpiece when using only one earpiece. - Style – Not overstated or understated, just right. - Phone sound quality, is better than 95% of the wired sets I’ve used with my iPhone. - The mic does an excellent job at noise filtering and is less susceptible to contact noise than most other earphones I’ve had. Very well done. - They look and feel like they will take a beating. Buy them. You’ll like them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Average Headphones First off I’ll discuss the pros: On first glance, the design of the ear buds look oddly shaped. However, once fitted in your ear, they stay in your ears very well. I liked how they fit for a wired pair headphones. The cons: The location of the volume adjustment that is located inline with one of the earbud wires has been placed too high where once the ear buds are in your ears, you can see where the volume adjustment is very well without feeling for it. Then when you find it, since it’s hard to see, you don’t know which end to press to either increase or decrease the volume. Secondly, the bass response is not as pronounced as other brands. I am not a big fan of monster bass sounds that many brands make such a priority. I like an overall balance of fidelity response in all of the EQ bands. Since there is no bass/treble adjustment, the overall low end is somewhat lacking for a good overall dynamic sound. Overall they are an average set of ear buds. Nothing too bad or outstanding to make them a must have item.

The foam inserts are fairly standard and seem to be of good quality. The lightning connector makes this a great product for my iPhone X. And the sound quality is surprisingly excellent for an earbud. The earbuds themselves are a bit longer than others earbuds I've had. The sound quality is okay but not great either. The bass is weak and gives somewhat of a tunnel-effect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound and good fit! I have been using these headphones for over a month and have enjoyed the fit and sound from this product. Great design making the outer portion of the ear pieces difference shapes (concave vs convex). This helps to find the proper ear when in the dark. The included tip covers help to make a near custom fit without the custom price. Sounds quality from these lightning connected headphones was as good or better than my Apple AirPods. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good headphones This is a good pair of headphones. They sound good, albeit the sound stage is on the narrow side and they sound a bit distant. There is just enough bass. Sound insulation is excellent. The cable is advertised to be tangle-free, and I found it to be mostly the case. When I compare to a set of similar headphones from another brand, the cable is quite wrinkled though softer and more pliable. I generally wear them during brisk walking, and I like how they don't fall out of ears. The package includes three bud sizes: S, M and L. I wish they put an extra pair of each, just in case. That said, buds seem solidly fitted, so I don't expect them to detach. Overall, they seem solidly built and worth the asking price.

I like the way they fit into your ear and the angle that they are made. Sound quality is great as all is digital with the lightning connector. As a guy it is also nice to see them in black as it matches my phone as well as any exercise gear I am wearing.

By using an equalizer to offset its low trebles, I can enjoy its spacious, pleasant and wide-range sound. But the built-in DAC is not on par with that of an Iphone 5s. It’s also very loud and distortion-free, so I recommend using the built-in volume limiter of your Iphone.

They sound great, they are sweat proof for working out, easy to answer and listen to phone calls, and fit great with multiple size options. I will definitely be using these for a long while

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sound poor volume controls. I enjoyed wearing these headphones. With the proper earpiece on they were comfortable to wear and they provided excellent noise cancellation. My neighbor is doing heavy construction and it’s quite loud. I wanted to sit outside and listen to my music and these headphones did a great job of sealing out all that construction noise. The sound is pretty good. Music is clear, the highs are crisp and the bass was adequate. Spoken podcasts were clear and the noise cancellation allowed me to pickup the full conversation no matter the background noise. The mic was good, picking up my voice at a whisper with light noise in the background. Phone calls, I was told that my voice was clear. I could hear the other person well. The only thing I find weird, and this is me, talking to someone with noise canceling headphones is strange. I can hear myself breathing and swallowing as I am talking on the phone. I find it distracting. Like I said, just my idiosyncrasy. I especially love the flat wire design. Every pair of round wire headphones I own tie themselves into annoying little bows just by looking at them, not these. The flat wire seems immune to that. I put them in my bag, my pocket, desk drawer and when I pulled them out each time to use, no knots. I didn’t have to spend 5 minutes trying to untangle wires and earpieces. The one issue I had with these headphones was the volume control. When I first plugged them in, out of the box, I pressed the volume up and up it went but I could not get volume down to work. Every 5th or 6th press the volume down would actually do something. I used these headphones 6 hours a day, everyday for a little over a week. The volume up started doing the same thing. It was a little annoying to always have to pull out my phone to adjust the volume every time. The play, pause, skip forward and voice control button worked fine, just not the volume controls. I think that my pair is defective and this is not typical to every pair. I would’ve given these headphones 4 1/2 stars if not for the volume control issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great replacement for Apple earbuds Rockstar Headphones Review I have been using these headphones for a little over a week and find them amazingly good for the price. They seem to be well constructed, and are compact and light. The lightning connector is a plus and eliminates the need of a dangle when using on an iPhone. Sound quality is crystal clear and they have excellent fidelity when listening to music. The spoken words of podcasts and phone calls are also clear and understandable. When using the correct size tips for your ears they are comfortable and fit tightly into your ears. They also do a pretty good job of keeping out outside noise. The flat wire feels strong and is tangle free unlike the set that came with my iPhone. The controls are simple but are sometimes non responsive when you try to go to the next track or back to a previous track. The one ear out clip is convenient and a useful bonus. When using them while running and walking I experienced a thumping noise in my ears that can be distracting and annoying. It is caused when the cord slaps against your body. I suggest putting a clip on the cord that can attach to your clothing to secure the cord and eliminate the thumping. I have used these earbuds about six or eight times while exercising and so far they seem to be sweat resistant as there doesn’t seem to be any damage as a result of moisture To sum it up if you want a great pair of earbuds that don’t cost a lot of money try these Belkin Rockstar Headphones with a lightning connector.

They come with 3 sized of foam ear cushions and provide a perfect fit in your ears. These headphones are extremely comfortable to ware, even for prolong periods. The sound is exceptional, great range, with clear highs and booming lows. The cord has a mike with + and - buttons for volume and the flat cord prevents tangles.

Within days of use audio started pausing with the slightest movement. Within weeks, the inline controls stopped working. I do not recommend.

The headphones have a solid build quality and are very comfortable, especially for a set of headphones in this price range. Sound is good, although I found the highs a little lacking. I recommend these headphones for folks who want to avoid the high cost of wireless headphones and dislike dongles and adapters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound & Fit I got this item a few weeks ago and I can't say how glad that I did. sound is spectacular with some nice heavy bass, mods and highs are crisp as well. love the fact that the wire is flat and it won't get tangled like other headphones. the package comes with various sizes of tips for the headphones so this will fit most of everyone. my only complain and this is being picky since the headphones are marketed for the newest iPhones is that since this are lighting headphones you will need and adapter to use with other phones or devices that use a 3.5 headphone jack. also is not possible to charge your phone while using this headphones without getting a dongle.

For someone who sadly can’t wear Apple ear pods these are a great alternative. This unit comes with a good length cord. I never felt like the earphones would pull out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great concept - poor execution Headphones with a lightning connector provide a great alternative to Apple Earbuds, which have cables that are easily ruined. The Belkin cables are much better, but the body of the headphone comes apart very easily. Unfortunately, this leaves the speaker dangling by tiny wires that are easily broken. My Belkin headphones are currently in a drawer with one earphone in pieces. Hopefully, I solder those tiny wires back in place!

Great noise cancelling, deep bass, I like the detail in the tip of the headphones which are shaped differently to tell which is which one. I showed it off to a bunch of friends at a party when I unboxed it and everyone loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headphones, if your ears can keep them in I’ve been using these for a few weeks now, and I like them. The sound quality is pretty good for the price, both music and podcasts sound pretty good. They are well constructed and feel sturdy and the rubber feels much stronger than the apple headphones rubber. They seem like they will hold up much better than Apple’s. The lightning connector is also good quality. I like the buttons on the inline remote, very tactile. My one concern is the earphone bits don’t like to stay in my ear. I’ve tried all of the sizes and none of them agreed with my ear shape. The AirPods fit fine in my ear, but these just kept falling out. Of course, this is highly dependent on ear shape. I highly recommend these if you don’t have trouble with earphones fitting in your ear. These have pretty standard rubber nubs that slip onto the driver, so most people have had this kind of earphone in their ears.

Controls on the cord include all the music and phone call controls you need. The sound doesn't have very much bass, but the vocals, percussion, everything, is very crisp for an overall good audio experience.

Had to open both sides of the inner packaging to remove the earbuds since one side of the cord was intertwined with the back of the packaging. First impressions: Well built with nice, soft, flexible rubber cord. Left and right earpieces are not easy to distinguish. L + R labels are on embossed, black on black, on the inside of each bud. Sound: I tested with several different types of music. Pop: Bang Bang by Ariana Grande - These buds are really bright. It sounds as if the mid highs 200-400 Hz are boosted. Bass is lacking, especially lower bass. I compared these to my wireless earbuds and the bass on the wireless buds is way fuller and clearer. Pop rating 4 out of 10. Classical: Mozart String Quartets - articulation and bowing is bright and clear. The cello sounds a bit weak on the low notes. Overall 6 out of 10. Lyric: Miten, Temple at Midnight. This track is basically acoustic guitar and voice. The voice was clear and had presence. The guitar sound is natural. Once again low notes were weak. Overall, in comparison to my other wired and wireless earbuds, these buds are only fair. 2 stars out of 5.

The ear pieces - tough to say if my ear will confirm them a bit, right now they are tight and a bit too snug. On positive note - sound is excellent.

Don’t know if they are noise canceling but I sure don’t hear anything but whatever I am listening to. I have used them with my iPhone and iPad and they worked great every time. I love to use them on a phone call and I have been told they hear me loud and clear. Even better than they do using just the phone. They don’t get tangled up like others I have used. Don’t hesitate to get yourself the Rockstar Headphones with lighting connector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very good non-battery dependent headset I prefer wired headsets over Bluetooth. I don't always remember to charge my headsets, pairing can be a hassle, worrying about battery life is silly (do I listen to music on the subway and risk not having battery left for a call later in the day), keeping charging cables everywhere and carrying one with me, etc. The standard Apple headphones aren't very good, and I've gone through a few dongles, including the expensive Apple ones and cheap knockoffs. It seems that somewhere, next to my missing single socks, is a small pile of my lost lightning to 3.5 mm adapters. It's nice to have a good sounding replacement to the standard Apple headset that is both compact and not white. The remote (buttons on the flat cable) works fine for shuffling and pausing music and answering calls. Sound is good, but not great. These are a bit weak on the bass, while the mids and trebles are fine. Calls are very good (clear and loud) as I don't speak with James Earl Jones. Although there is no active noise cancelling (that would require a power source and the headset would not be compact), the noise isolation is very good PROVIDED that you insert the correct size ear tips (there are three sizes) and really put them in. Overall, these are an upgrade from the provided Apple headphones and it is great to be both wired and dongle free. The sound is great for voice calls and good for music - very good if you don't listen to bass heavy music.

Small, medium and large tips are included. They stay in your ear if you’re on a run or moving in a workout. I put my EarPods back in the drawer. These are my go to earbuds now.

I did have some problems with them staying in the ear despite trying different ear fittings but they was problem due to how sweaty and wet they became after an hour of lawn work.

Missing the mid and low tones desired by audio enthusiasts. Great for audio books or podcasts but lacks the depth when listening to music. Lots of voice, snare drum and a little guitar.
