Back to the drawing board...
I was informed this cable was bidirectional and would be able to provide enough power to a laptop. I connected it via the Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Express Dock HD. The cord did not work. So, I am returning it and will either buy another docking station as this docking station is too hard to get the right cables.

Not good for fast charging or high drain devices
Incredibly slow charging performance on USB-C devices. I have a charger that shows the draw of devices plugged into it and this cable maxes out at 7 watts of power delivery when charging an iPad. That same iPad can get 21 watts from the same charger using an Apple-supplied cable.

Belkin Cables are Safe
Cable works great. Belkin is a reliable company. Many reviews on Amazon of random cables from China show pictures of electronics on fire, so please go with a reliable company like Belkin, for your safety.

Good Quality Cord - but does it charge?
I received the cord to do data migration between my old laptop and my new MacBook Pro. Worked great!
I plugged my MacBook Pro (late 2016) in to an external battery, and also a 16w iPad charger and it started charging! Seemed slow which is honestly ok, but is this safe?

It almost doesn't charge!
I bought this cord assuming I get a high-quality cord with a high-speed charging. It almost doesn't charge at all. It keeps my MacBook Pro at the same percentage, sometimes the battery dries out when I am charging the Macbook.

Just what I needed!
This cable allows me to sync my new iPad Pro with my late 2013 Mac Book Pro and it works perfectly. Apple does not carry this but recommends this Belkin product. 100% Happy!

Does not charge fast
I bought this cable at an airport because I forgot mine at home. It has charged my Google Pixel 10% in 1 hour. This cable is not worth the $30 I payed for it.

This is by far the best cable I've ever bought
It is really sad reading bad comments about this cable and i am referring to the comment of the Google Pixel Phone. I am almost sure that the problem was your phone and not the cable. This is the fastest and by far the best in terms of quality, USB type C cable I've ever used so far.

The only iPad Pro to older PC connection solution!
The new iPad Pro 11 inch (2018) will only interface to iTunes running on an older PC using USB type A inputs with THIS cable. Trust me, I tried them all. It’s an extremely well made cable. I highly recommend it.

The quality of your USB cable really matters...
I've been using various USB-C cables to use the Android Autoplay feature in my Jeep. Every cable I have used has caused the connection to occasionally drop (which means I have to pull the cable from the phone and reinsert it). Even brand new cables would drop occasionally. I've been driving for a week with my Belkin cable, and haven't had a single drop yet! Also, it seems like the phone charges a little faster.
