Barracuda Load Balancer ADC 540 - load balancing device - with 3 years Ener is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from We use these for our OSOW (Over Sized Over Weight) Permitting system where we run from two to three virtual machine hosts. They're fairly easy to set up, especially now that the Instant SSL configuration gets you an HTTP redirect built in with the HTTPS connection. We currently have around 12 Barracuda load balancers in operation, some 340's but mostly 540's. We've opted for the 540's because of the amount of SSL Transactions per second that suits our needs. We've had one 340 that came up short when trying to access the load balancer remotely, the operation of the device was ok, just couldn't connect remotely. We decided to replace it which was due anyway.Make sure to keep the firmware up to date, they're constantly fixing things and something that may not be working for you, will work after an update. All in all, I like the Barracuda line of load balancers, they're reliable and their support is top notch!
