APC Smart-UPS RT is a family of high-density, performance UPSs for voice and data networks, medical labs, and light industrial applications. This flexible form factor allows standardization across multiple applications. High power internal chargers allow virtually unlimited additional matching battery packs to comply with aggressive runtime demands of business-critical systems. Customers with harsh power environments looking for extremely tight voltage and frequency regulation, internal bypass, and input power factor correction typical of double conversion online topology will get them in the Smart-UPS RT.

APC Smart-UPS RT 5000VA RM UPS is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rare Simultaneous 208V and 120V Outputs! If you absolutely MUST have 208V *and* 120V receptacles available in your rack, and you just don’t have the rack space for an external step-down transformer, this 3U (5.25” height) UPS is just what you’re looking for. Few other UPSes offer this unique capability. Double conversion topology is top-of-the-line technology, as well. Just make sure you have plenty of friends around to help you install it because it weighs a stout 128 lbs.!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I must say that I am totally pleased with the Smart-UPS RT 5000 RM XL from APC. I have one of these units with two external battery packs connected to it and it's providing backup power to every device in my (small) server room. That includes four Dell rack-mounted servers, two tower servers and two monitors. Even with all that hardware connected, at any given time, I've only got about 50% load on the UPS. Based on what the UPS software tells me, at that load %, it will power that entire room for about an hour on its own.I've not had any problems with this UPS and it's been plugged in now for over a year. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to protect their server room.
