Replacement Battery Return. NOT!
As always, APC products are reliable and practically worry-free.
In the past I was able to return the old battery to APC to recycle. I'm a bit disappointed that the recycle option is no longer available, so that'll cost you a couple of stars...

Works well
My first battery lasted 7 years. It seemed to show sufficient power but I think maybe a cell was going bad and giving an alarm on my backup. It was great to be able to go on the company's website and find my model and battery that I need. I use battery backup for alarm system in poultry

Environmental failure.
Looks like APC does everything they can to entice the customers to toss the unit in the garbage and buy a new one when in fact they should promote recycling.
1- The unit BN650M1 has a clip on the black wire making it very difficult to remove.
2- Finding proper replacement part on the Internet is not easy for this product
3- The return of the old battery in the same packaging should be easier but you fail to provide proper info and I had to search for a special disposal locally.
I am extremely disappoint by APC failure to assume their duty in this extremely important environmental matter.

The Best Battery
APC batteries last longer than off-brand batteries. The shipping is inexpensive and they ship quickly. The batteries are heavy and APC uses multiple layers of corrugated cardboard to avoid damage in shipping.

Don't bother. Amazon is cheaper.
This is the worst online shopping experience I have ever had. After 2,5 weeks I contacted support to ask for an update. I was told the item is on backorder. This was nit indicated on the website or order page. I was the told that my order would be canceled because the item wouldn't be in until after a credit card authorization period. I canceled the orderand bought the same thing on Amazon for 2/3 the price.

Had to replace the battery on my UPS from APC. No problem with APC, ordered and changed the battery cartridge within minutes. Now I have another 3 or 4 years of worry free performance.

Easy installation
Bought replacement battery for my BackUPS 650 a few weeks ago. Installation was simple, taking a few minutes. Also website glitch resulted in accidental order of two replacements. Thankfully they called to confirm.
