Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me up and running I have a new computer and this is my first UPS I've gotten for backup power. We have power blips and outages from storms and just randomly and I don't want any damage to the computer. I also plugged in the modem/router and now I don't need to worry about internet interruptions. Also protecting the printer and other peripherals on the non-UPS side of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I use these at home, the battery life is not very good, but it's so affordable I even got them for my TV and so on. I definitely recommend for a non-production environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null i use them on my swithes. battery life is maybe 10 min. for just two switches but it always works and gives me the time i need to turn everything off in time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null Part of any PC roll out, reliable units, can handle just enough devices to make it worthwhile to use. And if/when the battery goes, just pop in a replacement one in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I've got probably somewhere around 80 of these, as nearly every workstation here has one. They can be bought pretty cheaply between $50-65 each if on sale, and they hold up easily for 3-5 years between battery changes (which run about 13-16 each) I absolutely love 'em.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null i got a few of these in when we had power issues in our main office / reception area. they were great as the power would just drop out for a split second and flicker the lights, but it would reboot pc's, sometimes 14 times a day. these at least kept the machines up in the flickers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null use these every Thursday at work. we have a CAT generator in the back and it runs a test cycle, these help moderate the power loss and possible surge. Keeps everything running smoothly. with no interrupted shutdown.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null Nice UPS for a workstation, very inexpensive. This works great for us and I definitely recommend this to others looking for an affordable UPS solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null A solid Back up UPS. You can't beat this model for the price. This is the main UPS we use at my company. Compacy, with plenty of plugs, and the battery lasts long enough to do what is needed when the power goes out, or a surge.
Date published: 2012-09-11T00:00:00-04:00
Rated 5 out of 5 by from null These work well for a desktop and monitors if all you're trying to do it keep them up when switching to generator power. They also have a trade-in plan that makes it very cost effective to upgrade to a larger unit. Considering disposing of them is a hassle, having them send me a shipping label and sending it back saves me some frustration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null Does the trick..reasonably priced. When it comes time to replace the included battery (after a year or more) the generic replacement batteries are prices low enough but only seem to last a few months. A big plus is that Windows XP recognized the device in the power mgmt settings without having to install any drivers or extra software. Just plug in the data cable (USB) and you're ready to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null Solid entry level UPS. Not very big or capable of much runtime, but for $50 any more than this is unrealistic. Plenty to shut down the average workstation with time to spare, and reliable about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null great for saving your data so you can safely shut down, got a couple on clearance at the nearby Office Depot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null We have one of these deployed at each desktop in our office. During power outages, these give our users ample time to save their work before they completely lose power to their PC's. Very happy with these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null These things are pretty great. Never received a DOA one after ordering about 40. Every now and then we do have the battery alarm go off for no reason on one or two of them. The battery is still in good condition and the devices are still active, but the alarm just goes off until a power cycle. Software monitoring is awesome. There is even an option to send a shutdown signal to the PC when the battery drops to a certain percentage to ensure safe shutdown. The software can also tell you if there is static noise (shrug) and time of the last brown/black out. I highly recommend APC for your battery backup needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I use these on all of my new PC rollouts. They are the lowest model APC that offers management capabilities. I am slowly phasing out my older 330 series APCs for desktop deployment. I also use them for some of my unmanaged switches in remote offices.
Date published: 2013-09-26T00:00:00-04:00
Rated 5 out of 5 by from null They're inexpensive, and they do provide interrupted power. The error beep is superbly annoying, but it does get your attention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null Great UPS for any workstation. I have one for my work office and I bought one for my house to have for my gaming PC so that I can power it down correctly during a power outage. I have not had any issues with either one. Would recommend a UPS for anyone that really cares about their equipment and wants to have that extra protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null APC is the only UPS that I am familiar with. So far so good. I'm not sure how we've had them but we have replaced a few since I've been here, since Oct. Right now we use the BE550G and they work great.
