Didn't even last a year
I keep getting sporadic faults of a constant tone and a blinking (alternating green/red) light. The manual says that means the battery needs to be replaced. I haven't even had this a year and it only has a TV plugged into it.

Excellent until the battery dies.
This had about a 5 year useful life - which is excellent. But without a replaceable battery, it becomes a boat anchor. APC said there was no way to bypass the battery alarm and use it strictly as a surge protector. Demands proper recycling. Buy a model that supports replacement batteries.

What do you expect?
It does the job. I was perfectly satisfied with the previous model, but couldn't get a replacement battery. Planned obsolescence?

Battery not replacable
Not sure how it can be considered "green" if one cannot replace the battery.

Failed completely after only a year.
I purchased this unit specifically to keep the internet modem & router powered on during brief power outages (common in my area). Not only does this unit not provide any backup whatsoever now, it also randomly starts "beeping" at times and the only way to stop it is to unplug it completely from the wall (which kills everything since the backup no longer works). I have several Back-UPS Pro 1350s which work flawlessly. This product, however, is pure junk.

Solid UPS
Straightforward UPS that substitutes for a power strip. Heavier than expected. Easy to set up. Power light is unobtrusive and helpful to see that the unit is operational. Size allows for it to be tucked away out of sight. I’m using it for my mesh network.

Great UPS
We purchase these smaller UPS's for our lab equipment. These models work very well - we use one for each piece of equipment and it protects them very well. These units are inexpensive, but high quality. I would recommend to anyone needing to protect individual pieces of equipment.

Batteries NOT USER REPLACEABLE
Be advised that the BE425M does NOT have replaceable batteries. It's bigger brother the BE600M1 does have replaceable batteries.

We had the older model for several years. I was satisfied with the original model and how it worked, so I purchased the same product just the newer model.
Pleased with the longevity of the original product. Quality and longevity are more important than price.

Did Not Last, Do Not Recommend
In the 4 months that I've been using this new product, it has started beeping once a month; the beeping cannot be muted. I have to turn it off, and thus my server gets shut down. It works for another month or so before the beeping starts again, Super Annoying!

Pretty sweet UPS
I needed this to backup one server (desktop) that can not ever shutdown and so far so good. Its not the biggest so I would advise only 1 computer on backup and the rest on surge.

Home computer UPS
Recent power outage made me realize I needed a UPS. This was the perfect size and price to provide some backup power, enough to save work and shut down without fear of losing data.
