The Algo 8028 'G2' SIP Intercom is a two-component IP intercom with an outdoor-rated door station and separate PoE control unit. The door station requires only a single twisted pair connection allowing the use of pre-existing wiring. The remotely located control unit provides connectivity to the network and door control connections eliminating any possibility of tampering with door access or network access.
The 'G2' version of the 8028 SIP Intercom adds new capabilities in addition to PoE, such as Secure SIP (TLS and SRTP) for enhanced communication security and also RESTful API for enhanced applications.
Integration with a SIP-enabled cloud or premise UC platform means that the 8028 SIP Intercom can communicate with any device, telephone or client that is part of the UC environment regardless of geographic location. Visitors press the door station call button to call one or more users who may then speak to the visitor and activate the door or gate control with a remote key press. It is also possible to call the 8028 SIP Intercom to initiate a conversation and/or unlock a door or gate equipped with an electric lock mechanism.
