Ideal for your home or office workstation, this Protect It! 6-outlet swivel surge protector features a surge protection rating of 1080 joules to defend your sensitive electronic components against even strong power surges and spikes. Because residential power outlets have three wires - hot line (H), neutral (N) and ground (G) - the SWIVEL6USB protects all three, covering the two protection modes: full normal mode (H-N) and common mode (N-G/H-G).
The direct plug-in design converts two standard wall outlets into six. Plug your PC, printer, scanner, router, modem, television, stereo receiver and other home/office electronics into six NEMA 5-15R AC outlets to protect them against dangerous surges, spikes and line noise.
Dual USB-A ports are available for charging your smartphone, tablets and other USB mobile devices.
Three of the six outlets rotate 90 degrees to allow great flexibility in placing connected devices or accepting bulky transformers without blocking adjacent outlets.

Has everything you need in a wall outlet expander. It facilitates sometimes bulky power supplies and the angled plugs that occasionally are just angled the wrong way. Two USB outlets are a bonus. Most important, of course, is the surge protection, which could always be more robust. It's a useful device because there are never enough outlets. My new device replaced a previous Tripp-Lite wall outlet surge protector that was 30 years old. I felt it was time it retired.

I purchased a new large OLED television and Atmos soundbar and know better than to plug these expensive electronics directly into the wall outlet. The rotatable outlets are a nice touch giving you room to plug in transformer blocks. I am using other Tripp-Lite products (two other surge protectors for the entertainment center in another room and a UPS in my home office). The build quality is excellent plus the insurance should a lightning strike ever get past one of their units. My home sustained a lightning strike about 15 years ago (before I owned any Tripp-Lite products), and the damage to my electronics was quite extensive.

Yes, I am going to buy this again.
I originally bought this to use in the garage, one for protection of the freezer and to have extra outlets and USB ports in a small space. But when I got it, I found it was perfect for our pellet stove and the narrow space where that outlet is. Feeling so much safer when storms come, and power goes out or goes half power. I have been trusting Tripp Lite for years and will keep buying their products too. Oh, now I have to buy another for the garage lol.!

Love the product but would like 4 USB ports. An-Oder tri- lite I had the USB ports quit working. I have several older metal box outlets in our home.

Plug it and forget it.
I use it to protect the refrigerator. There is limited space behind the fridge and this fits the bill. The thickness if good enough so that I don't have to pull out the fridge too much.

Similar to the Swivel6 unit, I wish it had a little more space between the outlets to accommodate slightly larger size plugs. Also, I like the larger LED indicators on the Swivel6 model. However, it is really nice to have the two USB ports on this unit.

Will be buying another one.
This is being used next to the sofa and has a lamp, laptop and a cell phone. Plus, there's room for other items if needed, like when the grandkids come to visit. Also, won't have to worry so much about power surges the spring thunderstorms start.
