Home Office Savior
I bought the DTEL2 after my home office mainline kept getting cooked. Here in sunny Florida we get the occasional lightning strike. And that occasional lightning strike fried 2 of my phones, shutting down my business for the day. Haven't had an issue since installing the DTEL2. Glorious little protector.

Great product for a cordless phone.
The Dtel2 plugs in upstream from your cordless phone providing protection. If your surge protector doesn't have RJ10 protection, this product is great. Easy to install.

It works!
We had a lightning strike that blew the cover off the outside phone box and burned wiring and connections. This surge suppressor protected the phones and DSL modem after it. It died, but everything else was saved. Ordering another one right now!

Easy install
Not sure if it actually works, how do you know, hence 3 stars. Very easy install, hooked ground wire to electrical outlet ground since my telephone base is all plastic. Fingers crossed!

In today's world you need this
With the increase in lightning strikes in our area this summer, we lost 2 phone bases, 1 printer/fax, and... And all were on power surge protectors. Only path left was the phone line. With this installed we've survived the last 2 thunderstorms with no damage. As weather patterns change, these are great insurance.
