Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable, good virtualization, and good support What is most valuable? It's a good product. Virtualization on it is good. What needs improvement? It should be improved in terms of future expansion. We should be able to have additional free slots for future extensions in terms of memory. For how long have I used the solution? I'm not working on that. My team is working on that. We've been using it in our company for a long time. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It's stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It's scalable. We can extend a node on HVI. How are customer service and support? They are good. How was the initial setup? It was straightforward. What other advice do I have? I'd rate it an eight out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides a great management platform but more flexibility is needed What is our primary use case? I was running them as hosts for my virtual or private cloud — we were hosting several servers, virtual servers. What is most valuable? The management platform is great. What needs improvement? I can't think of anything that needs to be improved at the moment. A lot of evolution is occurring with Blade PowerEdge, including, what call, the blade servers. The VxRail should be opened to allow other virtualization platforms to be used. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using PowerEdge C for over 10 years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? PowerEdge C is very stable. We hardly experience any downtime. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? In terms of scalability, as long as the infrastructure is set up well, adding a host to the environment is very easy — I don't see any issues with that. A lot depends on the design that you put in place. How are customer service and technical support? On a scale from one to ten, I would give the technical support a rating of eight. I am very satisfied with them. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was very straightforward. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? PowerEdge C is very expensive, but personally, I think it's worth the price. What other advice do I have? On a scale from one to ten, I would give this solution a rating of seven. If they lowered the price, I would give them a higher rating. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A reasonably priced solution with useful compression capabilities What is most valuable? I have found the compression capability the most valuable feature. What needs improvement? A feature that needs to be added is the ability for full container storage. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for more than a year. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The price of the solution is reasonable. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact with an easy initial setup and good preformance What is our primary use case? We primarily use the solution for supporting our internal applications. How has it helped my organization? So far, the product has made us more efficient in terms of energy usage and space usage utilization. What is most valuable? It does basically everything that we need it to do. The compactness of the solution is its most valuable aspect. We found the initial setup to be straightforward. The solution is stable. We haven't had any issues. It is possible to scale the solution. Technical support has been helpful. What needs improvement? The reliability needs improvement. We have had some issues. The issue is that Dell's no longer selling this product in the near future. It's almost the end of life. For how long have I used the solution? We've been using the solution since 2018. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability has been good. We haven't dealt with any bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? While it is scalable, we haven't had the need to do so just yet. We're a construction company and we have about 60 users at this time. That includes project managers. Right now, it's probably running at 60% capacity. We're not going to increase usage. How are customer service and support? Technical support has been good. We are satisfied with the level of service on offer. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We're currently looking at refreshing the hardware. We had Dell rack-mount servers previously. We switched for space utilization. EMC is our storage. That's not the Blades. The storage is the Unity box that we have. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward and not overly difficult. It's a simple process. The deployment is fast. It took us over a weekend. We had two personnel that handled deployment and maintenance. What about the implementation team? We handled the implementation process ourselves. We did not need any integrators or consultants. What was our ROI? In terms of ROI, it's performed and done what we expected for the price that we paid. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? We pay a yearly licensing fee. It's comparable to others on the market. There are not any other additional costs other than the licensing fee. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We did evaluate other options. What other advice do I have? I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We're pretty happy with its capabilities. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Private Cloud If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use? Other Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from With an intuitive interface, it also easy to integrate with other tools What is most valuable? PowerEdge's iDRAC feature is the most valuable feature. What needs improvement? An area where the product lacks and needs to consider improvement is by allowing it to integrate with some AI tool for monitoring. In the future, I would like AI integration and iDRAC to improve. For how long have I used the solution? I have experience with the PowerEdge C for a year or two. My company is involved in system integration. We also sell different servers and PowerEdge C. My customers use PowerEdge R740, PowerEdge R7450, and PowerEdge R760. My company has a partnership with Dell. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is a stable solution. How are customer service and support? Technical support is good since they support us 24/7. I rate the technical support an eight to nine out of ten. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I haven't used any solutions previously since I was in network and security for a couple of years. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is not complex. It's a user-friendly tool. It will only take three to four hours to implement it. An installer and a solution engineer are required to implement the solution. For my deployment services, deploy it on-site with the MOP approved by the customer. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? PowerEdge C is a reasonably priced product, and the pricing depends on how many years you need the product. The cost also includes the support. What other advice do I have? I recommend the solution for small to enterprise-sized clients. It is easy to integrate with other products in general. Even the solution's interface is intuitive. I would definitely recommend the solution to those planning to use it. Overall, I rate the product an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A user-friendly server with good performance What is our primary use case? I use PowerEdge C for our clients. Our clients need new servers, and I configure them based on their needs. When the clients buy the server from us, the configuration on-site depends on their needs. It might be a basic configuration or an advanced configuration. What is most valuable? PowerEdge C is the best server I have worked with. I like that it's user-friendly. PowerEdge C performs very well. What needs improvement? It would be better if it worked with SMTP servers on the cloud. Right now, it only allows notifications via the SMTP server. In the next release, I would like to have a better processor. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using PowerEdge C for about five years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? PowerEdge C is a stable solution. On a scale from one to five, I would give PowerEdge C's stability a four. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? PowerEdge C's scalability depends on the client's architecture. It also depends on the manufacturer. How are customer service and support? On a scale from one to five, I would give technical support a four. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? I have worked with HP, and I can see the difference quickly. PowerEdge C performs very well. How was the initial setup? The initial setup depends on the needs of the client. It will be straightforward if it's a rack mounted server or something similar. It will be easy to find the architecture of implementation on the rack. For rack mounting, it takes me about 15 to 20 minutes to implement this solution. It will take more time to implement if it's something like an iDRAC configuration, installation of the operating system, some other configuration, or virtualization. What about the implementation team? I implemented this solution. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The cost depends on the configuration. Which other solutions did I evaluate? I chose PowerEdge C based on feedback from my friends, colleagues, and other companies. I tested it and found that it was a perfect product for me. What other advice do I have? I would tell potential users to find the manual online and go through the information. On a scale from one to ten, I would give PowerEdge C an eight. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good return on investment, round the clock technical support, and easy to install What is our primary use case? PowerEdge C is used in both corporate and industrial settings. What is most valuable? One of the main features that attract customers to buy their products is the great management tool and almost zero failure rate, making it easy to use. What needs improvement? As far as I'm concerned, the current product works perfectly fine and I don't see any issues with it. The newer products may have additional features, but for my current needs, the current product is more than sufficient and I don't think it requires any enhancements. We are a provider of Dell enterprise solutions, including servers, storage, as well as commercial laptops and desktops. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward. The deployment process took approximately one hour. What about the implementation team? The deployment process is tailored to the customer's specific needs, whether it's for normal infrastructure such as servers and storage or for more complex hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions. The deployment is a straightforward process at both the OS and management levels, and we haven't encountered any issues. What was our ROI? The return on investment (ROI) for our solution is very good. We provide ROI sheets to our customers before finalizing the deal so that they can review them. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Despite the slightly higher price, we prefer Dell due to the high quality of their products. HP is a little bit lower in terms of price. Customers may have additional requirements and may need to purchase licenses for certain features to use with this infrastructure. These licenses are typically bundled with our solution. What other advice do I have? We are recommending Dell. I would rate PowerEdge C a ten out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the most stable products with a straightforward setup What is our primary use case? We use the product to incorporate infrastructure for our virtualized environment. What is most valuable? The hybrid solution is much more stable than other products. What needs improvement? CMC needs different storage in the blade server, like a three-tier architecture. It would be better if the solution provided simplified storage and hardware with an integrated one-tier architecture. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for eight years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate the solution’s stability a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The modular part of the product is scalable, but the storage is not scalable. I am the only person using the product in the organization. How are customer service and support? Earlier, the technical support was from the UK or the US. There used to be a good flow to the technical support. Nowadays, they revert our calls to countries like India and the Philippines, where the technical support is not as good. Five years ago, we could get a specialized guy to handle everything. When we open a case for the hardware now, the support personnel pushes the technical person to get the job done rather than help us troubleshoot. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was straightforward. What about the implementation team? It took us almost one week to implement the solution. The vendors sent a specialist to configure the hardware on the back end. After that, they gave us some pointers, and we housed every piece of hardware. While deploying the solution, we must check the licensing to understand where to install the application. We can configure the solution if we have little knowledge about it. What other advice do I have? I don't have any issues with the hardware. We provide the scope and specifications to the procurement team. The decision to choose a product is made based on the proposal provided by the vendor to the procurement department. If the product suits their need, people should use it. If they’re looking for a new technology to simplify their duties and responsibilities, it would be better if they choose a hypervisor. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten. We really like how user-friendly it is. The management is excellent and also very straightforward. The security of the product is very good. We found the pricing to be quite fair. It's not overly expensive. The upgrades for the solution are very good. It continues to add useful features to the product with every new release. What needs improvement? Overall, it offers a lot of good features for the industry. I don't recall any that are lacking per se. We had a few minor issues with compatibility on the latest version during the installation process. For how long have I used the solution? I've been using the solution for eight to ten years at this point. It's been almost a decade. I've used it for quite a while. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is quite stable. We don't have issues with bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. It's quite good. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Some have thousands of users, for example. How are customer service and technical support? Technical support has been very knowledgeable and responsive. They're good. We're satisfied with the level of service they provide us. How was the initial setup? The setup is pretty straightforward. It's not overly complex in any way. The product's servers are easy to install. You can install it easily on VMware if you want to. There were a few minor issues with compatibility, however, other than that, it was a good experience. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The cost of the solution is reasonable. It's a good selling point for Dell. They keep it competitive. What other advice do I have? We're Dell partners. We have a business relationship with the company. We're using almost the entire series. We use a variety of versions of the solution. Overall, I would rate it at a nine out of ten. Disclaimer: My company has a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer:partner

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The solution has a good product life compared to any other product, but the price must be improved What is our primary use case? We use the solution with VMware. We also use it with independent servers. Our servers run on it. What is most valuable? The product life is good compared to any other product. The performance depends on the configuration we buy. Every new version is better than the previous one. What needs improvement? The price must be improved. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for ten years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product is stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The product is scalable. We have 150 users in our organization. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solution that offers high performance and can be optimized to meet the budget of the users What is our primary use case? PowerEdge C has a moderate pricing, which makes it come across as an optimized product for our company's clients' budget. If our clients have enough budget, then the product can be scaled up, including its performance, storage, and memory, making it a high computing type of server. If our company's clients have a low budget, we customize the tool to retain the flexibility of PowerEdge C, which is one of the use cases I recommend to others. The product's moderate pricing allows for the optimization of the solution based on our company's clients' requirements. PowerEdge C is usually deployed in the banking sector, public sector, multinationals, and telecom sector, and the product can be recommended to different institutions based on their requirements due to the flexibility to meet the requests of our company's clients. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that the product is not pricey. Dell and VMware produce the product with heavy integration capabilities, making it easy to manage the deployment while also being easy to use with other different HCI solutions, where the management part is easy. In general, I recommend it to others since it is easy to use, offers flexibility, and is easy to manage. What needs improvement? Nowadays, the product has started to become a bit expensive in the market, at a time when Nutanix offers virtualization software, which is even cheaper when compared to VMware. In order to penetrate into the market, the pricing of servers like PowerEdge C and other HCI solutions should be lower. Price-wise, I would want to see the product offer more flexibility. The hypervisor offered by ESXi is not compatible with different types of hypervisors. In the case of Nutanix AHV, the hypervisor is compatible with the other types of hypervisors. The aforementioned aspects need to be considered for improvement in the product to achieve high scalability. There is some trouble with the stability part of the product, making it an area where improvements are required. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using PowerEdge C for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? There is some trouble with the product's stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The scalability of the product is good since it offers high performance and capacity. I am unsure about the number of my company's customers using the solution. In total, there are around 200 people in my company, but to manage the server and to take care of the areas that revolve around the server, which includes increasing the server storage size or aspects related to SaaS or cloud solutions, there are around 15 members, consisting of solution engineers and deployment engineers, who take care of both, the pre-sales part and the solution's deployment part. How are customer service and support? As the support for the product is available on-site, we did not face any problems with the technical team. How was the initial setup? The product's initial setup phase is easy, especially considering the virtualization capabilities it offers. The solution is deployed on an on-premises model. My company has also dealt with cloud-based servers, such as Dell VCS. If our company's clients want the solution deployed on the cloud, then we are able to do it for them. The deployment process of the solution is not complex in my experience, and it is very easy to understand. During the deployment phase, the operating system is not incorporated with the servers. The first thing we do is deploy the type of operating system our company's clients want. Our company usually deploys the servers in an environment, after which we deploy an operating system on it. If our company's clients also want a virtualization concept, we also refer to the ESXi or any kind of software for virtualization on the server. In my company, around eight to nine teams are involved with the deployment phase of the product. What was our ROI? From an ROI perspective, the product is good. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? There is a need to pay towards the annual subscription-based licensing model offered by the solution. The product is moderately priced. Price is a critical issue, and it is always good to have moderately priced solutions. What other advice do I have? PowerEdge C is good if someone wants a high-performing product but is moderately priced. I rate the overall tool a nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
