The WALLMOUNTH1 1U 19in Hinged Wall Mounting Bracket for Patch Panels is 4in deep and sturdily designed to provide a dependable solution for mounting a patch panel, or other slim 19in networking equipment to a wall.

The patch panel wall mount features a hinged design for easy access to configuration buttons, ports and cables. The wall mounting holes are spaced 16 in. apart, making it suitable for mounting on almost any wall, based on common wall-frame stud spacing.

StarTech.com 1U 19in Hinged Wallmounting Bracket for Patch Panel is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mounting holes are 17" apart on center - NOT 16" I bought this 1U unit from this vendor (on Amazon) and the mounting holes were NOT 16" apart on center - they were 17".At that distance the screws would only grab the very edge of each stud, resulting in a fairly precarious mount into a stud edge that could splinter. And that is if you can see the studs. If yours are covered in drywall, you might miss the stud entirely. Thus, for me to mount this bracket to the wall confidently, I would need to either:1) Drill one or more new holes in the bracket, or2) Mount a piece of wood on the wall, properly drilled into the studs, and then mount this bracket to that piece of woodNeither of these options is attractive to me (nor should be required), so I will most likely return the bracket. Too bad because it seems to be of decent quality and it shipped with the appropriate number of screws and nuts. But seriously, is that the level of quality control? I had planned to also buy a larger unit from this vendor, but now I will look elsewhere. How hard is it to measure 16 inches? I would have assumed they had a template. Apparently not. I have seen reviews claiming a buyer received a unit with the holes properly spaced and other reviews stating someone received a bracket with holes even farther apart than mine. Are they winging these measurements?Very disappointed.
