Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed Although there are a multitude of rave reviews regarding the picture quality of this television set, actually achieving that goal is both frustrating and tedious. After unboxing and setup, don't expect to plug in the new TV, sit back, and enjoy your favorite programming as you will be sorely disappointed with the factory settings. There are myriad "Expert" settings and combinations thereof with which the user can experiment in search of that satisfactory balance of color tone, brightness, sharpness, eliminating the "soap opera" effect, etc. Picture calibration (restricted to "Movie" picture mode) is even an option with the use of a mobil phone, but my experience with it proved to be less than satisfactory. By all accounts, reviewers rave about the quality of the picture while streaming which may very well be accurate; however, there remains a large segment of the population who continue to subscribe to cable/satellite services. Therein lies the problem. Once you've managed to navigate the settings and achieve that perfect picture; change the channel/station and it all goes out the window. Nothing is consistent between broadcasting networks, programming, and even advertising; which only leads to more time wasted tinkering with the settings. Viewing the spatter of 4K pictures and short videos in "Retail" or "Maintenance" mode provides an experience of unparalleled awe and wonder; a fantastic preview of the capabilities of this television. Unfortunately the translation is lost in "Home" mode. In short, I have been a dedicated purchaser/user of Samsung televisions dating back to the early 90's and currently have two "older" LED sets, a 32" and a 49" (UN49NU8000); and though less technologically advanced, by all appearances they provide a better and more consistent picture with a lot less tweaking to achieve the consummate viewing experience than either the QN50QN90D or QN50QN90C . The older models have a "Natural" picture mode which has been eliminated in the newer models; unfortunate, as that mode seems to provide a good starting point to achieve a great picture with a lot less work. One final observation: When entering the "Home" screen of the older models (now referred to as the "Smart Hub" in the new models), the current programming passing through the cable box/AVR continues to be displayed in the background which allows the user to exit and maintain the input source; even when exiting an app. Not so with these new models; though there is a "Live" option for live programming as a background, it lacks an ability/option to connect to the main source of input (ie: AVR). So, if an alternate input source is used such as an app, when exiting in an effort to return to the main source of input (again AVR), the user is forced to navigate to, and select/change the input source back to AVR, as it is no longer displayed in the "Recent" window; an added and aggravating extra step. Overall, I give the QN50QN90D a grade of C; primarily due to my inability to achieve an acceptable, well balanced and consistent viewing experience across the entire spectrum of programming that our satellite network provides. To be clear, that programming is also available to us via fiber optics which offers no discernible difference in reception. In my humble opinion, for the current price of this unit, it should be blowing my socks off. In that respect, I'm disappointed because it doesn't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV - fair remote I just finished setting up my new qn50qn90cafxza. Awesome screen. The remote is a bit difficult. I hope Samsung might offer an upgrade to a more functional remote. With Samsung support I was able to pair up my 2013 Samsung soundbar wth woofer. No complaint. Also, I was able to pair up our 2013 Blu Ray player. As you might guess we got a Samsung led tv in 2013 but the screen started going out recently so I am a bit disappointed in Samsung. One hassle that I have not been able to solve with the remote is when using the DVR feature in Hulu. When viewing the recording there is no way to fast forward through the commercials. Maybe some genius out there can help me out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best picture Quality ever! Super Sharp! This is my second TV purchase, first one was same model from previous year (QN95B) 55 INCH. Thst TV just made me want another one I am super happy with both TVs. I mostly play games with the 50 inch new QN90C and have it on my room! And the QN95B 55inch i have it on my living room to watch games and movies with the family. Its just incredible the sharpness of the picture and deep blacks, just as close as you can get to a OLED but better when watching on brighter rooms, and I have a lot of natural light on my living room and bedroom, and this 2 tvs just compensated with super bright screens and better handling of reflections than any other brand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love lamp and this tv! I use my TV on average 18hours a day. Gaming Xbox pass to my pc monitor and watching movies, it is a true workhorse. My daughters play with 2 ps4 controllers and love it. I also mirror from my phone use buds 3 pro from my phone to pc to TV seamlessly. Other than my phone I would be lost without this TV and multiview.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dolby Atmos is broken, complicated and unusuable. Hate hat the audio, I've spent hours trying to fix this. Screen is fine, also allowing a quick input change shouldn't be hard. Changing HDMI is royal pain or at least complicated. What Blah blah blah

After a few initial bumps (my cable box needed to be upgraded) and some miscommunication during the ordering process, I have to say I am very happy with this set. The images are great. I has a relatively easy learning curve. And it works great with my cable box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a disappointment I was so excited to purchase this TV as I had been waiting for Mini-LED and QLED to reach the next level, I love Samsung for delivering very satisfying products for my home and pocket. I have owned high end TVs (Trintron XBR, Pioneer Elite, Panasonic plasmas, and a few OLED) all of my adult life. I wanted a smaller TV that was nearly as good at night as my 77 C1 OLED in my main room but could be used for news and static images with zero risk of burn in. I can not describe how disappointed I was. TV was hazy and only Red would pop like QLED is known for. I was sure I was just not getting the settings dialed in. After 5 hours of watching and tweaking the only thing that was really good was motion handling. Then I found Quantum TV over on YouTube and he was pointing out many of the same issues I was seeing on his 55. This thing is Samsungs Cadillac Cimarron, I guess we are in a strange place now that Samsung Display is no longer producing LCD panels for Samsung Electronics. Due to the short return policy from Samsung, in the box and back to Samsung it goes. Very sad but will just have to gamble with burn-in risk on a C2 as Samsung does not appear to be selling a QD-OLED in the 50" size this year, very sad as I really dislike LG's interface and the Samsung QD-OLEDs have amazing color volume. But for now I will sadly have a 48C2 with an AppleTV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good tv no airpod connectivity great tv except the Bluetooth with apple air pods pro 2 sucks, they pair and as soon as you change channels they no longer make sound. went thru Samsung support, they could not help told me to buy samsung ear buds. they advertise compatibility but no.

Streaming on this TV really is better than expected too. I have no problems when watching content. This TV really does it all and for a good price too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from no wide viewing angle on 43" and 50" beware of the 43 and 50 inch versions as they use a VA panel, so I am unsure the viewing angle is any better than a cheaper model. If you are concerned about the wide viewing angle, I can only recommend you consider a model with an IPS panel. I am not sure SS can do much to improve, if they begin with a VA panel. As a 55" was too large for my needs, I suspect I should have bought an LG 48" OLED for the same $

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Bedroom TV great picture and easy installation Only one problem and that is with the bluetooth to my apple airpod pro 2. They connect not problem, however, if you change the channel, with any method, ie voice, cable box controller, or samsung controller then the sound stops and you have to go back to the device connection and reconnect. No problem with bluetooth to my BW PX7 headphones.

Sure there are better colors out there now but you'd have to pay a lot more for that. Worth the price as the quality exceeds more than the $$$.

Gaming with my PS5 is easier than ever before, I can be streaming a show, hit my PS5 controller button and I am instantly transported to my game world. Audio and video settings are automatic wasting no time. Instant game play to streaming makes life easier.

I had a Samsung in my living room and love the picture and free Samsung+ streaming service. I ordered a 50" Neo QLED for my bedroom and use the streaming service exclusively, particularly the crime and gameshow channels. The picture on this new TV is crystal clear and the sound is outstanding. I have a larger bedroom and the sound fills the room. I'm very happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice applications fast response& nice for gaming. Down side to this tv some applications you can not run like crunchyroll and 4 other applications. Does not like to game in 120hrz only 6ohrz.When watching movies through external device like xbox X series console and or Playstation 5 it will not use it 4k ability. I have surched through the setting but to no avail. But does have an great picture none the less and great response when using the remote control the sound quality is good but for the price point compared to others could have been better.

I think a 43 inch unit is needed for one of the bedrooms . Samsung makes a great product .I use my Wi-Fi and the smart Samsung has no problems at the other end from where my router is placed

Is it's perfect above my fireplace The sound quality is superb and it's amazing how thin it is, it doesn't stick out from the wall very far at all. I would highly recommend this TV to all my friends and family....

The image is amazing with vibrant color, deep contrast and amazing image resolution. The sound is also great and with the Q symphony paired with my Q series soundbar it’s even better. I enjoy my Samsung television so much that I purchased one for my parents.
