Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost there, really great headset I have tried most of the VR headsets on the market and I grabbed the Odyssey after trying it out in a windows store. It wasn't a huge pain to setup, it is surprisingly intuitive, The image quality was better than others on the market. I didnt notice the screen door effect as much as I did on a vive and the tracking controls were good enough. Yeah the hands loose tracking here and there if you move them out of sight for too long. I hope they make some headway on that draw back but it is not a deal breaker for me by any means so far.It has a great feel too, quality wise, you feel like your holding something substantial, an issue I noticed bothered me a bit with other mixed reality headsets. Also it doesn't make you look like a power ranger, looking at you acer. If you're unsure about VR this is a big investment to dip your toe in, you may want think about looking like a power ranger just for the price. I love my unit though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This IS the VR Headset you've been looking for! Amazing headset! I have been following VR for many years, reading reviews, trying different ones - including the Vive, Rift, and PSVR. I have 20/20 vision and things like the screen door effect and God rays on the rift/vive completely ruin it for me. The screens on them really aren't up to par. The psvr doesn't suffer from these issues, but it has a noticeably lower resolution and aliasing. This was the year I decided to take the plunge into VR, but was left disappointed, UNTIL I tried VR on this headset with Windows mixed reality and SteamVR. I really believe WMR coupled with Steam for gaming is the future for VR and MR, and with the Samsung Odyssey you have built in headphones, a mic, the highest resolution screens available and because of this - no noticeable screen door effect and alot less God rays. The setup and the tracking are just as good as the Vive. The Samsung Odyssey is top quality and is exactly what I have been looking for. Look no further, this is the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Odyssey is an excellent VR HMD Anyone who tries to trash Windows Mixed Reality hasn't really tried it. Most people trashing it on WC and MPU are just mad because Windows 10 Mobile is being retired. Anyway, this headset is worth every penny and WMR is amazing with the steam library. You just can't beat it. A couple more steam VR updates and WMR will do everything that all the other HMDs do but better. Controllers can be a little difficult to setup if using an internal Qualcomm BT adaptor, but they will eventually setup it just takes some work. It was worth it to me to get it working. I could have just switched to a BT dongle and had it working right off the bat, but I like my onboard Bluetooth so I put in the work. This headset is definitely the way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best VR headset right now. The HMD Odyssey is my first jump into VR hardware. I chose the Odyssey because the hardware specifications made it seem to be the best headset on the market and room setup sounded so much easier than for the Rift or Vive. I am not disappointed in my choice. I find the headset comfortable, the visuals bright and the setup really was that easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent headset. Probable the best yet This headset is easily the most comfortable. There is little to non screen door, and the color and clarity is very very good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very little support for Samsung HMD I like the HMD hardware, but I haven't tried the others so I haven't compared. But, I have several complaints:1. Most of the Virtual Reality apps don't work (yet) on the Samsung HMD. Google Earth VR, Hulu VR, Obama's National Parks, all don't work on the HMD - will they work or when will they work I don't know. I do have it working on other apps so, it isn't defective.2. If it is warm the lens fog up. There is no ventilation. It works good when you are cool and not perspiring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Freaking Amazing! I have used both the Vive and The Rift, and this blows them both away, not only on image quality and ease of setup (no stations) but because I don't get nauseous using this! I couldn't go 10-15 minutes without feeling like throwing up using the Vive. I have used the Odyssey for up to 8 hours almost continually with absolutely no side effects and it's so comfortable you can forget your wearing it sometimes. The cliff house is pretty sweet, but download bigscreen beta from Steam ASAP to be really blown away watching movies with friends. I highly recommend anyone buying this to get steam VR and download revive and gain access to steam, oculus and vive's VR libraries.
