Use the Novell Software Evaluation and Development Library to hone your competitive edge. This collection of Novell products provides valuable hands-on experience with Novell's latest software innovations.

Because you are privy to Novell's latest technologies and products - and therefore to Novell strategies and directions - this subscription keeps you well ahead of the competition and gives you an early-adopter advantage in the marketplace. In addition, this subscription includes the Novell Developer Kit (NDK), a comprehensive set of software development tools that can take your technology skills to the next level. Use this valuable resource to create the custom applications you need now.

If the subscription includes technical resources on CD or DVD, the Expanded License allows you to install your technical resources on only one server. The client components of the software (Folio client) that permit access to the server may be installed on any number of devices, as long as they are only used to access the subscription resources housed on the server.

If the subscription provides Novell evaluation software, you may use the software for only the number of users, sessions or connections specified in the Individual Product License or the applicable license diskette. If there is no license diskette for a particular software program, then you are limited to using that product on 2 servers for up to 100 users.

With the Expanded License, one person also receives online access via the Subscriber Portal to the technical resources and evaluation software that come with the subscription.

VOLUME LICENSE AGREEMENT

The VLA offers a cost-effective way for organizations who want a low level of commitment to Novell to purchase licenses without a signed contract.

MASTER LICENSE AGREEMENT

Customers may qualify for the MLA in one of two ways: Make a qualifying initial purchase by purchasing any combination of new licenses, upgrade licenses, Software Maintenance, or services for any MLA product.

Transition from one of the other Novell Licensing levels (VLA or CLA). This option allows existing customers to apply the purchases from the past term of an existing CLA or VLA toward their MLA qualification requirement.

The combined purchases made by all of a customer's divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates apply toward making their initial qualifying purchase. In addition to the initial qualifying MLA purchase, the customer must submit a signed Master License Agreement to Novell.
