Rated 5 out of 5 by from >1.5 yrs TV not working properly out of the blue I got this LG tv less than a year and a half ago and now a vertical line suddenly shows up on the screen in certain blue hues. I called LG and they had me do a screen test and text them a bunch of pictures and immediately agreed that the entire panel needed replacing BUT that I’d have to pay the repair with a local company off their list…. The companies I was given either didn’t answer, had a disconnected phone, have terrible online reviews, had an attitude issue. Finally I got one to give me a price, almost $400 without tax. I begged LG to cover the labor cost because I didn’t do anything do damage the TV and all they could tell me is that their 5 year warranty only covers parts, but within the 1st year they would’ve covered labor too. Despite it being a defective product. So I’m expected to pay $400 plus tax out of the blue, terrible service and limited sympathy. They weren’t kind about it either.

I have bought LG products for years. LG TVs. LG soundbars. LG speakers and accessories. I have spent thousands of dollars on their products. I regret every one. Here’s some reasons why: - One of the industry’s worst warranties, ONE YEAR parts & service - Software updates frequently BREAK compatibility with OTHER LG products, leaving you to connect third party products or just go without. (See: My TV just updated, and SIMPLINK stopped working with my LG soundbar. After an hour of troubleshooting the TV and speaker, still can’t connect successfully. Thanks, software update, now I have a $1,600 brick.) - Support technicians are the standard overseas, outsourced, non-English-speaking people in noisy call centers, who have zero technical knowledge and rely entirely on troubleshooting scripts. - LG’s operating profit, after all their tax shenanigans last year, was still $2.8 BILLION dollars, which they invested into… vehicle components, smart fridges, and even more predatory, broken smart device software. The same software that PREVENTS successful connection to OTHER LG PRODUCTS. Do yourself a favor, never buy an LG product. STOP yourself when you want to, and ask: - Do I want to sit on hold with a support agent in Bangladesh for an hour, one month after my pitifully short TV warranty expires, performing the same steps over and over in hopes it’ll magically work? Do I want to spend $5,000 a year on electronics that STEALS and SELLS my data, while being roped into predatory data agreements to use my (broken) TV? If you answered ‘no’ to any of these questions, DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS.

I bought it for the picture quality, flush mounting and the eArc support which my old TV (Panasonic Plasma) did not have. Looks amazing both on and off. Can’t comment on sound or apps because I do not use them. Only complaint is it sometimes it gets confused when powering off and on with different remotes or changing between apps using Amazon Firestick. It will display HDMI 1 which is the Sonos ARC sound bar or there will be no sound output. To resolve you have to turn off and back on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only TV you need. This TV meets all gaming needs for next gen gaming consoles. This is the sole reason I picked up this TV. Call of Duty MW2 works great. 120 frames per second. The gaming is great! Aside from that the tv is great for watching. OLED gives the best blacks and I love the color. If your wife is one of those people who have a hard time telling the difference between tvs, she’ll be able to see how great this tv is. The picture has to be seen in person to really justify the price. I’ve had no issues with this tv and recommend it to everyone who enjoys great entertainment and gaming. Avatar 2 on the tv is very nice!

At first they didn't want me to help and didn't want to accept my advice. I had use the several times on two other 75in TV's. Once they let me help, we accomplish task quickly. I was trying to get them to their next job. They were taking to long to adequately mount. TV is playing beautifully

The only way to get it to stop is to jog it out of its complacency by hitting the input or home button. Very annoying while watching movies. But it does look great and the ARC compatibility is on point for the most part.

I chose the G2 because of the great reviews and the extremely slim design is incredible. I wall mounted this TV (as it's supposed to be) and it is truly like a picture frame on the wall and the wall mounting bracket is 100% hidden. The OS and apps for Netflix, AppleTV, etc...is very intuitive to use. I hooked it up to a soundbar system and it seamlessly integrated well with the TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need to tweak the settings The tv is great, for those that know what to expect from an OLED then this tv delivers, but for a standard user the out of the box settings are hard on the eyes. There is a comfort setting that would make most people happy, but to get the best of the inky color range you can play with the settings and find your favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EHHH.... My first OLED was the C1 I fell in love with it and never had a bad thing to say about it. I went over the specs between the C2 and G2 and decided to go with the G2 and now I am in regrets with the issues I am having with this tv. I feel the C class has a better picture over the G. I purchase the C2 for my son and he absolutely loves it over my G class, and I feel the same. This tv always disconnects from my internet and the apps crash to where I am constantly having to unplug from the wall and plug back in for it to reconnect and work properly. I hope there will be an upgrade for this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! What can I say! Although, we have only had this tv two weeks, the picture is incredible. We upgraded from a 2016 LCD 65" and the difference is amazing. It is a bright tv even in a sunny room. HDR and Dolby Vision shows/movies are crystal clear. You get what you pay for and this is one of the best tvs I have every owned.

In my living room the eARC HDMI is hooked up to an 11 channel Denon X6700H.... and I am enjoying near ATMOS sound from you tube videos. Yea, I know people say that is impossible... wrong!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing TV I bought the 83” G2 about a month ago and got a really good price on it through a 3rd party provider. The included mount was super simple to install and we had the TV on the wall in about 45 minutes. This TV is an upgrade from a 2017 LG OLED and is drastically brighter than my old OLED. The included flat mount is definitely worth the hype and my tv sits completely flat on the wall with the addition of a deep recessed outlet. A word of advice to those using recessed outlets with their G2 make sure it’s at least 2-3 inches deep the power plug is kind of weird and sticks out a couple inches for some reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It "just works"! As a home theater aficionado I knew what to expect with the picture quality... stunning. But what was surprised with is several things that gave me fits on my previous QLED from another brand, things which that brand blamed on the Firestick (stuttering) or on the long HDMI cables (PS5 is 30 ft from the TV) and I believed them... they just worked fine on the LG! Such a surprise. I am thrilled in almost every way, only things that didnt meet or beat my expectations are: the newer G2 is not totally flat to the wall like the original wallpaper TV (those were so sexy) which I think is a tradeoff needed for the new heat sinks and not allowing DTS passthrough on the flagship - its not that expensive to have DTS... FYI the "dolby precision detail" is currently buggy and will sometimes cause banding, I thought my TV was broken but thats just a buggy setting right now, try turning it off before thinking your tv is broken.

Sound is amazing, easy to use, set up, mount on the wall. Amazing game features, the tv automatically set up the game optimization mode when I switched over to my Xbox series X and I’ve never seen gameplay so high def. The tv mounts flush to the wall, easy cord management makes it look even more stunning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from G2 times 2 I recently bought 2 of these G2s. Really love the low-profile design and the picture quality os fantastic. My only struggle is keeping them connected to my wifi network. When they are connected, they are noticeably better than the one I bought for my screened porch from another manufacturer. While the picture quality of that one is not as good aqs my G2s I have had no issues keeping it connected to my network. I'm sure once I get my network stabilized, everything will be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best picture of any TV By far, the best picture of any TV I have viewed. Smooth, incredibly detailed 4k, and the dark levels are lifelike. The one problem I have with the G2 is Wi-Fi reception. I have a great router located 15 ft away, but the G2 would randomly disconnect. This happened frequently when streaming 4k. I tried to resolve the issue with LG, but the only solution that worked was directly connecting the TV to the router with Ethernet cable. It has not disconnected since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing TV This tv looks great, has an excellent picture, and mounts flat to the wall and was surprised by how good the built in sound was. It's pretty expensive compared to the C2 which has similar performance but I pad the extra over the C2 for the clean wall mounting which works really well. The only issue I see is that the home screen cannot be customized to remove all the recommended shows/ads which I assume they are paid to put on there. Why not just have an option to pull in recommended shows from only the apps I use and remove sections that are just ads for other services/apps/shows i would have to pay for or don't use? Also why have a mandatory sports section on the homepage? I don't watch sports, It's just very poorly designed. They shouldn't have mandatory ads built into the home screen on a TV that costs this much money. They also have some specific app buttons on the remote (netflix, disney plus, etc) which they were probably also paid to put there and are useless buttons if you don't use those specific apps. The AI video features made the picture look strange and caused some issues so I'd just turn that off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awful operating system & poor connectivity The TV is pretty but it loses connection to WiFi frequently and only resolves by unplugging the tv. This is a known issue but LG support pretends it’s news to them. The solution is to replace the TV or have a technician come insight to work on it. This issue started out of the box and makes using it impossible. I would not recommend this TV. Besides the WiFi issues, the webOS is clunky and has lots of ads that can’t be dismissed.

The screen is bright, the colors are vivid and the sound without a sound bar is acceptable but once I paired it with an LG sound bar the sound is terrific. It connected right up to my internet connection and also pairs nicely with my JBL Bluetooth headphones for when I want to watch TV after my wife goes to bed. The only negative is I had to purchase a separate floor mount for it since mounting it on the wall was not an option for me.

All of the great content with dark backgrounds were visible (GOT Ice battle comes to mind) and everyone with a non-OLED TV probably just complained about it - try watching it again! This TV is SUPER bright, crisp, and depth of field is amazing too! I was hesitant to upgrade since we already had an amazing product, but after seeing the art features, my wife said we had to get it. Now that we use it in our daily viewing room, I can't believe we waited so long. Sports are crisp and there's never a hiccup in processing, movies look amazing, the art is superb (yours or the LG standards). Far exceeded my expectations and I am happy that we took the plunge! If you're looking for a complimentary piece to your decor and want to have the best overall TV viewing experience available today, what are you waiting for? Get one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent TV This is my second LG TV purchase after getting a 55” C1 OLED and it has not disappointed. The gallery model is very sleek and I would only make the extra investment if planning to mount, otherwise the new C2 is good enough. Installation was a bit cumbersome because the wall anchors are not good. After putting numerous holes in my wall, I ended buying toggle bolts and using those with one good stud and that did the trick. As usual with these TVs the sound could benefit from some enhancement with a bar, but that’s unfortunately to be expected. The Always On functions which display pictures and/or music for a few minutes is quite classy and definitely a step up from the last model. Hands free Alexa is nice but it does always trigger so I preferred being able to add the TV as an Alexa device and turning off the TV using any Echo dot in my house (like I do for my C1 when the kids leave the TV on or it’s time for bed). It doesn’t seem that option is available now but maybe one day it will be. Also, a minor complaint is the DirectTV stream is not available on webOS and this TV is being use “wirelessly” (no auxiliary connections, recessed outlet directly behind the TV), but I think that’s more of DirectTV fault.

Coming from a plasma, I almost bought a projector but decided I couldn't live with the mediocre black levels, so I'm super glad that I bought the 83" G2 as it's a perfect fit in my room, has a bright and sharp picture with superior black levels.

Many people are receiving units that , when the TV has been off for a certain amount of time, it has to be powered on multiple times before it will stay on. Mine was purchased in Nov 22 and I’ve had the main board and power supply replaced. Now a tech has to come out to replace more parts. Frustrating to say the least considering how expensive these are and the hassle of having to take it down multiple times LG - what”s the solution here?

While the tv is great, it is not good that the previous LG product was unfixable after 18 months. Required 2 service visits (so glad we purchased the Best Buy protection) and we were without. TV for 3 weeks. LG needs to do better than this.

I use the adjustment but it need go the other direction. Even with a hard wire it's still off. Worse on so channels then others.

This is my third lg tv and hadn't had problems withe first two tvs. The screen that was replaced seems to referb since it still has stains that I can't remove. Will have to think and think again if I'm going to buy another lg tv. Why don't they make 'em the same?

It was easy to set up with Alexa, as well as my Sonos sound system. It comes with a built-in wall mount, which, unfortunately is a little flimsy and doesn’t give much leeway left to right if your studs are off-center as mine were. That would be the only criticism. It comes with an ARC connector for the new Sonos sound system.

When the screen goes dark, it's like the TV isn't on, it's amazing. Honestly a little bright in vivid mode and needed to adjust brightness overall to prevent headaches, but watching content on this TV is more than worth the price of admission. The television itself can be programmed to behave as either Google assistant or Alexa. Screen is bright. Dolby Vision looks spectacular and the Dolby Atmos coming out of the s95QR is wonderful for my application (850 sq^ft). There are plenty of features to play around with if the image needs to be tweak for your specific applications. I was pleasantly surprised that the Tone T90qs pair and are now my dedicated quiet time Dolby Atmos alternative. Amazing television. It’s stunning to behold and the integrated wall bracket is ergonomic and an artistic approach to technology. Infinite contrast! OLED is worth the money. Specifically the G2 line comes with a 5 years panel warranty (not due to damage) if their is a technical problem. I’m happy to have paid for this product. If it were to be compared to a vehicle from the 90s it would definitely be the Lincoln Towncar: has/had all the features and is/was built like a tank.

I bought it to replace my Frame TV from LG as I wasn't able to use it during the day as it's in front of a wall that's just window in a high rise. Colors are absolutely amazing and I like the art function, but it could be better. Compared to the Frame, the artwork isn't as usable. It rotates through quickly and even when I have it set to motion sensing mode, it doesn't turn on to art when people are in the room. When it's on art mode at night, the screen is far too bright. Personally, I'd like some sort of slowly panning art option to allow the screen to not ghost as I know that's why the art rotates through so quickly. Something where it's lightly zooming or panning on a single piece to the point where it's not very noticeable would be great.

We have a 5 year old LG OLED TV and the new TV's picture is like comparing night and day, even though the 5 year old TV is still great. The SMART TV functions have worked great also. The only downside: the sound quality isn't as good as our other TV ... really need to crank up the volume. Hoped to avoid getting a sound bar but may not be possible.

My WIFI doesn't stay connected longer than a few hours, sometimes not that long. All my other televisions are good, no problem with them. I have no idea what to do or who to call next. They have brought me out another television, but it's the same problem. It shows great when it's on.

We used to struggle with following the ball during a baseball game, but this tv is super crisp. There are a ton of different features to adjust the sound or picture quality. The fact that all the streaming services are just built in and no attachments are required (ie roku stick) makes everything super easy.

I’ve check my Wi-Fi every time and ever other device still have connection except the tv. Called customer service which is a nightmare to even get a real person on the phone but they send a technician to fix it. He orders a new motherboard and Wi-Fi board and installs them and 3 days later it happens again. Very disappointed that a tv costing this much can’t stay connect to Wi-Fi.

The C2 is the better value but I needed the extra brightness the G2 offers since the TV is our main display in a fairly bright living room. This replaced a Sony 75" LCD that was 4 years old. The color saturation and black levels are amazing on this display. Highly recommend if you want the extra brightness over the C2. If you don't need it, save some $$$ and get the C2. Either way you will not be disappointed.

I was out of town for 3 weeks and when I came back and turned the TV on it would turn off intermittently only after a few seconds.I could not use the TV for about 1 week, when I turned it on it stay ed on long enough that I was able to reset it to it's initial settings. Now it seems to be working fine again. I hope LG has a solution to this problem through future updates.

The picture has so much depth. Also, compared to the Sony, the LG is very accurate. I have the brightness dialed back to 40 now, so brightness is not an issue. I don't use the tv speakers or the internal apps. Watching videos on Youtube are like looking through a window. This is the best display I have owned yet.

We just moved to this new house and previously, I didn’t use to enjoy watching tv.. but now, with this LG Oled Gallery series 83” in my living room, watching tv is such a joy and a pleasure. Our whole family loves it and even some of our friends expressed their awe in how it’s so beautiful to watch shows with this tv. It’s so pleasing to the eyes even if it’s a huge tv. I paired it with a Sonos soundbar +subwoofer and it improved the already good sound of the tv itself. I just watched Avatar with this set up last night and it was the next best thing watching this vs the movie theater. So far, I love all the features and the minimalist look of this. I love how I can have artwork and beautiful landscapes displayed in sequence when I’m not watching tv. It makes the look of my living room so beautiful as it is flush and flat on my wall. I thought I wouldn’t like the remote control for this model bec it’s not back-lit but after using it almost everyday, it became intuitive to find the buttons even while in a darkened room. I am quite surprised that i don’t get lost with the buttons now. It did took some adjustment and getting used to the buttons and setttings. I don’t even have my Apple TV installed bec I don’t need it, so far. Maybe I will if I want to do mirror imaging, but the tv come installed with Apple TV already. There are also many apps available to install! Overall, this tv is the best tv I’ve owned so far and watched tv from. I’m thinking of getting a smaller one for another room in my house. That’s how good this LG Oled Gallery series is! No regrets and I’m quite a happy camper here!

This TV is fast slim and the picture is among the best I’ve ever seen. The point and click remote is like the one for the wallpaper 7 and we love it. The AI sound and picture adjustment are awesome and even with no surround sound hooked up yet the TV sounds great in a 750 sqft room with 10 ft ceilings. Highly recommend!

For this TV I did not feel a need to calibrate, as the same holds true of my 83" and 77" G2 models. Why you ask? The factory already did the job for me. It wasn’t losing power but the screen was blank and the indicator light turned red. After troubleshooting with customer service it was determined the TV needed service. As of yet 2 weeks later service has been cancelled twice and I have an inoperable TV I paid handsomely for with no fix in sight. My review certainly may change if the issues ever get fixed or the TV is replaced.

Even upconverted looks great my laptop has never looked better. Only issue I have is IR Blaster can't figure it out or find any help on this issue. I have my AVR in a cabinet and have to leave the door open to control. Even though it works for volume with the eArc no other functions work until I open the door.

Earlier I got LG curve 3D tv, I have panel problem from inside as I can apps logos when I run Blue and white screen test. I tried in panel noise clearing as that is the only option to clean, and later LG promised for 20%rebate on new item, so I got this. He just took a picture and a video of it and called the service center. They said that it would be at least another 2 weeks and they would have to replace the whole screen, and hope that works. LG won't just replace the TV only the screen and there is no guarantees that this will work. This is the worst service that I have ever had. It was a really expensive TV and LG won't stand behind it! If the TV is not replaced I will never buy another LG ever again!

However in the time it took the tv to ship it went on sale for an additional $200 off what I had paid during a Black Friday sale. The TV was still in the box but LG has no price guarantee and the restocking fee would would have negated the savings. Very disappointed. Stick with a chain that offers a price guarantee or risk receiving a tv that is cheaper than when you ordered it from LG.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Oled but powering it is annoying. I had this 83” G2 for about 6 months now. Everything about this TV is awesome. However turning in on is really annoying. I thought it was a glitch the first week i had it. I always have to double click the power button to turn on the TV. Some times i have to wait 10 secs to turn the tv on. I figure maybe a software update will fix the problem. So i waited for a couple of the updates to go through. Problem was never fixed. Read on the blogs that it was a hardware issue. So i finally gave in and had LG send a tech to replace the power board today. I never feel comfortable opening up a 6k TV but to make it right it had to be done. Tech replaced the board with another board. Looked the same to me. Put everything back together and made sure the screen turned on. Everything worked. Mounted the TV back on the wall and put everything neatly back together only to find out a couple hours later that powering the TV had the same issue. But this time it was even more persistent. Instead of waiting a couple hours to double click the powering switch it happens all the time now which makes it even more annoying turning the tv on. Gotta wait 10 secs after the first click to power the second time. At this point i’m beyond frustrated as it take a long time for me and my family to put the entertainment room with this Tv back together. Plus i had to take time out from busy schedule to fix this. Not just mine but my wife as well since this is a 83” screen. I never had issues with the last 10 TVs I’ve owned. LG. I hope you can make this right by replacing the TV as i don’t feel comfortable opening this new TV again the second time. The more you open up the TV the worse it gets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No regrets 2 months in I jumped on this TV (on sale) after seeing reviews and experiencing the quality of the LG C2 48" (another great TV) I bought for my bedroom. After a few settings adjustments with the help of several youtubers, the picture is WOW. When we mounted it with the included mounting bracket, my son told me I ruined him for any other TVs. I ran all the cables in-wall and anything else just doesn't look quite as nice now. Lol. I can't speak for longevity, but if LG's TVs are as bulletproof as their phones were, I'll remain completely satisfied. The LG tv I replaced this with is 6 years old and I never had an issue with it, I just wanted these OLEDs. The only issue I see is the reflection of the screen. I just close my room-darkening curtains when I watch tv because it will definitely reflect the window behind my couch and the lamps beside me. This may turn some people off, but its beautiful for a movie night.

The resolution, detail, frame rate for all motion, the clarity in sound and the A.I. performance are just amazing. Now, for the profile, it’s just too slick! Everyone who visits our place always compliments how nice and slick the design is. Plus, one little hiccup with the panel, and LG was ALLLL Over it to ensure the repair was handled accordingly. Even after the fact, I’m still happy with my purchase and trust in LG TV’s. Recommend it? Absolutely! This is a 65” because it looks good on this wall, but my oh my, do I want a larger wall for an excuse to upgrade! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful picture - no stand!!! We received our delivery of our new TV promptly. There was no stand in the box - only a wall mount bracket. The LG stand made for the TV sits at an upward tilt angle that reflects ceiling lights. Recommend a universal flat screen stand. The picture is gorgeous and it is full of wonderful features and apps. No regrets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good I've had my LG G2 for about 3 weeks now and used it for roughly 40 hours of content. Though I have some time to go before I can make a proper assessment of the quality of the unit, I'm overall quite satisfied with it. Color and picture uniformity look great and the menus (though I almost never use) are very responsive. My only complaint about the settings is that you cannot disable TPC auto-dimming to ensure consistent HDR brightness over time, or at least I haven't found a way to do so and something that CAN be toggled on the C3 and G3. I would also say that I have been having consistent handshake issues in enabling Dolby Atmos for my content with my Onkyo AV receiver, something that I had no problems with when I was using my older LG E7. All this being said, so far it's been a good experience and I look forward to using it more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2022 G2 to Replace 2017 55C9 I purchased the 55" G2 to replace a 6-year old 55C9, bought new in approximately 2017. Unfortunately, the old TV had developed the infamous "green blob" in the center of the panel. Though it's not extremely noticeable, once you've seen it, you can't un-see it. If you're not a videophile (like my wife and kids), it's not that easy to see. I however, couldn't NOT see it after noticing it just once. The G2, with its better panel-cooling technology, will hopefully not suffer the same degradation. So far, perfect blacks, faster WebOS, brilliant colors and I couldn't be happier with the new 55" G2. Plus, I got it on clearance at a lower price than the 2023 C3 on sale. :)

I also appreciate the quality and many of the features on it when watching Sunday night football. One thing I dislike is how often it disconnects to the WiFi for some odd reason.

Sound is great, picture quality is the best I have seen, although I wish It were a bit brighter on Cinema mode. Overall very pleased with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Picture quality and features I bought this tv a week before the World Cup finals. Took a few days to arrive but it arrived on time which is most important. I knew the picture quality would be awesome, so was not worried about that aspect of the tv. My only concern was to make sure that it will be easy to hang it up in a predetermined location on the wall. Everything with delivery and unpacking went as planned with no glitches. When it was time to get it on the wall, we realized that the provided mount did not have enough length to get to the studs and still be centered as we had planned. My recommendation to LG is to provide a longer attachment base for the mount to accommodate varying stud locations. For a tv this large (77”), to provide a short base to attach to studs that in all likelihood are not positioned perfectly to hang a tv, a long wall base to screw into the studs are a must. We spent hours trying to come up with a solution to get the tv hung in the correct spot. Other than that, we have had nothing but praise on the quality of the picture and size.

Coming off a GX 65”x I bought the 77” G2 set and the image quality is a step up, brightness is better, uniformity is also much improved. I think the only use case I would change is the swivel stand and the tv leaning back. It wobbles a little and not my favorite. But the stand is quality looking and hides the cables well. I also like the design of the set and how much more sturdy it is compared to other tv sets. It also handles gaming and movies well. DTS suooort would have been really nice however. I know this isn’t the trend. But still would like it.

Sucks that it doesn’t come with the stand but this TV really was meant to be wall mounted and looks great. The flush wall mount thats included was easy to install. The 5 year warranty was the icing on the cake that made me choose it over the C series as well. Picture quality is absolutely amazing, ample ports, web OS continues to improve.

We paid less for this one than for our previous model and have an order of magnitude in improved features and picture quality. The picture is flawless. The only uncertainty we have is that the set loses connectivity with our home internet and needs refreshing more often than the other TVs in the home. We're running Zen Wifi Pro ET12 mesh routers with two of them in the home. The only thing we think might affect our connection is that the TV is equidistant from both routers and may be deciding which to connect to as it boots up. Otherwise, my HD antenna works better than on any other TV and we can't be happier. We can't wait to hook up our Denon 7.2 sound system with Definitive speakers to see how it does with an HD movie.

It’s perfect for console gaming. If you have an XSX or a PS5, every option you have can be run. For XSX this means VRR and DolbyVision gaming. Never thought I’d have a tv where I would be able to play Witcher 3 in dolbyvision!

It provides adequate access to getting behind it in case you forget a connection (which I did). Very bright and clear picture. The only disappointing aspect is the "art" app to display art in gallery mode. Hard to use and somewhat complex with limited options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Absolutely Fabulous Colorful Tour De Force I got this unit brand new as a replacement for my LG CX 65-inch. I have to say, the color balance is exquisite, the picture quality is incomparable, the black depths are beautiful - this is one of the best televisions for gaming, streaming, sports, media centers or otherwise. And I would never, ever, EVER buy it or recommend it to anyone. Why, you ask? For the same reason I gave it 3/5 stars - the absolutely illogical changes they’ve made to the remote. See, they removed the play and pause buttons. “So what?” So: - Are you streaming? Need to pause? Better hit the center key. Oh, you accidentally hit one of the circle directions because it’s in the center? Guess you wanted to bring up subtitles, or skip to the next episode, or exit the program. - Did you slightly roll the center key, because it’s also a scroll wheel? Whoops, now you’re on pointer mode. Better hope the app you’re using will pause when your pointer clicks! And that it’s not starting over anything else! - What if your app doesn’t pause when the center button is pressed? Different app developers assign different functions, I’ve found ones that bring up menus instead. So I have to swirl the pointer around to pause. And hope I don’t skip or scan through the episode instead. You know what I use this TV for? STREAMING AND MOVIES. I live a normal life where I have to pause occasionally, and it’s just such an asinine, pointless quality-of-life reduction to fight with my remote to do it. I literally tracked down MY REFURBISHED REMOTE across multiple cities in the state, just to get it back - and guess what? The play and pause buttons for that old remote work JUST FINE with the LG G2. So they didn’t remove the software/board function. Just the button. Inconceivable. When it’s time to upgrade, I will never buy another LG TV until they stop designing SMART TV REMOTES with fewer and fewer features. PS: The menu bloat is insane. The forced advertising is obscene and unnecessary. Why does the TV’s smart menu and app dashboard move TEN TIMES FASTER if I change the TV region to somewhere without ads? Why, even after disabling all advertisement I can, am I STILL getting hounded on the main screen by ads I don’t care about, that slow down my TV? It’s crazy to say it, but the LG G2 is worse than the CX in every way that matters to me: User experience, quality of life, and most importantly, RESPECT for the customer.

We were hoping for a better experience with it when it's off with the Art Gallery, but it's very limited. The pictures are nice, but we're unable to add our own photos or a frame option around the pictures. Overall, it's been an excellent upgrade from our previous TV, and along with a Sonos Sound System... it's as close to theatre quality as you can get.

We watched a movie streaming through the tv and we were very happy. Then later on we went to our cable and watched the big game when we noticed it was blinking. We thought maybe it was the channel so thought nothing of it. Then for the next few days and many different troubleshooting things, the blinking would just not stop, the last straw was watching a movie and more than half way throughthe tv blinked and sent us to the D+ homepage. We were sad as it was a great picture and the colors were amazing. But if I am going to pay 2 grand for a tv then I should not have these issues right out of the box.

As the owner of a 77 inch g1 I appreciate the upgrades in the frame being changed to a flat box to hug the wall better as opposed to the g1 bezel. There is an improvement to the mounting bracket adding additional anchor points to the tv. The bracket has room for improvement. The bracket could stand to be either longer or more box shaped so as to hit more stud in a drywall/2x4 wall. In both installs I had to cut out a large section of drywall and reinforce with 2x4 and on the second install a 2x6. My framing didn’t appear be oddly diminished but in each install the bracket only reached one stud and didn’t appear strong enough to support this hefty tv. That adds in the need for drywall repair and painting. I never want to move these tv.

I’d be more pleased if LG offered to replace the TV with a new one, rather than repair it, as that would essentially be like me buying a refurbished TV for full price. I’d understand if this was a couple years old, but I bought it in July, and officially unboxed it in September, so really it only had 2 months of use before the infamous verticals line on the screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV But Misses The Mark The TV looks great and picture quality is great, but it misses the mark in so many areas. The TV will not perfectly flush mount even with an in-wall box for the power outlet. Carefully taping down the cords to the back of the TV does not make it flush mount either. The speakers cause the sound to vibrate and distort from time to time. The gallery app to display artwork, etc. will only display for 30 minutes. I called LG to complain and they said that is just how it is. Absurd. If you are having guests over, you would want it to display more than 30 minutes. Very stupid and an easy fix with a software update. The worst problem is that the TV randomly turns on. I can be gone for several days and when I come back, the TV is on and playing. Also, more often than not, when I walk by the TV it turns on. I called LG and they said it was not possible, but it is. They logged in to the TV and made all kinds of changes in the setup, but it did not change anything. Very disappointed.

I was not disappointed after receiving item that was well packaged and survived a rough shipment. The included wall mount bracket is equally excellently designed. it disappears into a notched out rear section in the back of the TV that provides for a truly flush mounted experience. The magnetic lock / support is very ingenious that allows minor adjustments if mount is slightly off. Cable management also well thought out permitting routing to prevent cross talk and interference. All the latest cable standards supported including Atmos. I was looking for a well-designed, quality product and found it in this Brand /TV. Thanks LG

Called support, could not make any progress with them as far as scheduling someone to look at the TV. Finally got someone after 2 weeks and had to send in multiple pictures of the tv. Every time I thought it was taken care of a few days later I would get an email for more information. This was to just get a tech to come out to and look at the TV. Now the tech is "approved" and I have been waiting almost a month for the tech to come out. In another month I will have had the TV broken longer than havening it working.

Then the TV shuts its self off after 40 seconds Panel is bad and must be replaced - AFTER 13 MONTHS - REALLY????!!! Repair is estimated to take over a month to complete - REALLY a month??

While there are ‘clips’ for the cables, there are no covers. Since I did not wall mount the tv, I would appreciate these covers being included in the packaging.

I had a bit of an issue with the motherboard and wifi dongle, but customer service was excellent and sent over a technician promptly sorting it out. I’m not a huge fan of the mount that comes with the TV, but there isn’t much choice considering that it doesn’t come with a stand.

LG tried to support this issue twice but it’s still the same issue. I have a newer google mesh Wi-Fi system not even 3 feet away from the TV and still have these issue. Seems like this is a known issue on a bunch of forums but still no real fix.

The screen has warps along the top edge, the sound is way worse than my prior lower-end LG OLED model, and LG has been very unhelpful and uninterested in resolving these issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding picture with better than average sound This is my second OLED from LG. I had a 2015 E series that I really liked but this model is a far better display. Great picture out of the box.I am using cinema mode with the film mode auto feature that kicks in when the set detects the appropriate film content for usage.The TV speakers sound is fairly good. It extends beyond the cabinet and is listenable and can reproduce Dolby Atmos but all in all an external audio setup is best.The home screen takes some time to get used to and navigate. My only gripe is that the remote is as clunky and awkward as it was in 2015. I bought a harmony remote and it is MUCH easier to use. I think that overall it is a great value at it's current price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many problems Beautiful picture but soon after purchase in July had vertical banding on cable and streaming channels. A part on the panel was replaced. No change. Then had the panel replaced. The panel shows OLED65G2. Have a 55” TV. After panel replacement the gallery artwork stopped showing on standby even with the enable button on. Have to physically click on gallery app from Home Screen. The first time TV is turned off it goes into standby. Turn off TV again and the Home Screen comes on. Turn off TV again and shuts down. Not able to access cable channels with LG magic controller. Contacted LG customer service many times. Each time the call has been over an hour. All that happens is a reset and have to sign into my apps again.

Movies look crisp and vibrant. Across the board we are seeing details we've never seen before in old favorites and look forward to watching more in the weeks, months, and years ahead.

Extremely bright, very clean screen with no tint (77" model) and does everything well. Very happy and will likely get a 2nd for another room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Television! I bought this TV about a month ago. The installation was the tricky part. If you plan to put the electric box behind the TV, it will need to be recessed, or else it the unit will not be able to get as close as possible to the wall. Also, there are four short screws that need to fit into the cradle mounted on the wall. This can be very tricky getting all four to line up. Once mounted, we were in for a treat. We watched a Netflix 4K nature special. It was "jaw dropping". The color and clarity were nothing short of amazing. If you want to tweak the picture a little, you can Google how to fine tune and there are some good recommendations. We have had guests over who said they would never get up if they had this TV. Indeed, one of the problems is that it is so emmersive and entertaining, we have to force ourselves to stop watching and go do something else. Otherwise, we would just sit there all day watching. We notice every little blemish on people's faces. In one Hallmark movie, we noticed the marshmellows were fake, because they didn't move at all, even after the actors took sips from the mug. We look forward to years of entertainment. It definately enhances the viewing experience.

Movies and video games look fantastic. The TV is very thin and looks great hanging on the wall. Glad I bought this model. I can't comment on the sound of the TV since I am using a surround sound system.

TV seemed extremely hot before it went off and no longer would power on. Thin profile looks nice on wall but really wondering if it’s not enough space for electronics to cool and get air flow. Either I had a lemon and possibly a one time issue or LG has an overheat problem with these units and likely will see more of these reviews for no power.

OLED screen is fantastic (should add this is my first new TV in almost 12 years) Cons: 1) After about 48hrs of owning it the wifi started to drop off the network about every 45min and would be very difficult to reconnect. I have to unplug the TV and then plug it back in to get the wifi reconnected. VERY FRUSTRATING! I ended up using ethernet port and connecting directly to modem. Im still deciding if I want to return it but I spent a lot of time installing it to the wall and wiring it. Would definitely return if it was on a stand. IF YOU HAVE TO RELY ON WIFI I WOULD NOT PURCHASE. 2) Wall bracket is exactly 16" wide with large holes at the ends that the supplied screws would slip through. I wanted to mount on 2 studs which span 16" oc. I used different screws and washers to mount bracket. Bracket should be a little wider to make it easier mounting on 2 studs.

Will be primarily be used for movies and gaming but I have to admit I have started using the Gallery feature and love what it does to our living room. Gaming options are nice too! The UI takes a bit of getting use to coming from an android TV but the picture quality and features make it well worth figuring it out. The super thin nature of the TV is way slick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great picture! The TV has an excellent picture, but the problem we are having is with the LG Sound bar. We’ve had the Geek Squad out 4 times and it is still not connecting toe the ARC feature every time. We have dish and stream thru Roku. When Roku is on the ARC connects every time. But it will disconnect itself within about an hour, revert to TV sound out and then it may go back into ARC mode. Very frustrating! It will not go to ARC when using Dish unless you go from Streaming to Dish and then it disconnects going back to TV sound out after an hour or so. This is an awfully expensive system to have these kind of problems! Next step is I give up and try to get a refund or a new system and try again.

The picture quality is unmatched and it’s got a lot of nice features. Not to forget to mention how quick and snappy everything is, unlike some of my other TVs which has slight delay when navigating thru.

It is our first OLED TV and I’m so happy that we decided to get an LG. Picture quality is amazing, TV is plenty bright even for a bright living room, and gaming features are amazing! I especially love the piece of mind that comes with the five-year panel warranty on the G2, and the flush mount wall bracket looks great.

It disconnects, then it can’t find any wireless signal until we factory reset the tv. Half the time when we try to do so the reset button doesn’t work. After being on the phone a total of 5 hours with Best Buy. They said they can’t replace it because it’s no longer available.. I bought this a week ago!

It is an amazing TV with amazing picture quality...I only really have one gripe and that is the self-dimming. It is called ABL (auto brightness dimming) and ALL OLEDs have it. You can be watching a show that has dark or static scenes and the TV will just get darker to where the picture is impossible to see anything. The only way to change it is in the SERVICE MENU which normal people do not have access to. AND THEN if you do have a service remote and change it, it voids your warranty. Its dumb...but hopefully one day they will fix this issue.

Features on the tv are good and easy to use. I wish there was a way to upload my own photos for screen saver. The only reason this tv did not get a 5 star review was for the wall bracket. As an installer of TVs for over 29 years I do not like to hang a tv this size (77”) on one stud or no stud using the provided wall anchors. The provided wall mounted is a nice and great idea, but way to short to hit two studs 16 on center. Especially if the studs are not exactly where you need them to be. My wall to get tv centered had a stud dead centered on tv and then 16” away from that on either side was the next stud. So I purchased a razor mount so I could mount to 2 studs and slide the tv centered on that mount. The factory mount is two short and no additional adjustment left or right. I have seen too many tv fail due to Sheetrock anchors. Other than that I would recommend this tv to anyone.

Build quality appears good, no issues with the G2 at all. The picture quality is the best and looks great playing games and watching movies. If you plan to mount a tv, the G2 is the way to go.

Amazingly beautiful, crisp picture with vibrant colors. We use it to watch all of our streaming services, sling, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, TV from the Tablo, apps from Roku. Everything startles us, because it’s such high-quality! We set up all the cables, and then attached it to the wall. Everything is seamless, and we could not be happier.

For the price and quality it's shameful to turn on a light in your home theater to make adjustments to the tv. Considering paying a premium price your Magic Remote should be Backlit. At first I thought I would be annoyed at how dark the 'black' color is, but now I realize how much depth it adds to all the other colors. Once I got use to that, it's hard to watch any other type of TV. They all feel washed out. Easy to set up and it came with a mount so I was able to return the one I purchased (I didn't realize it came with a mount). One more thing. It truly mounts flush to the wall and looks like a gallery hanging. Beautiful.

When I turned the TV on, and the wallpaper would show up on the idle screen, I heard a high pitch whine come from the back of the TV. I tried different video sources. Tried streaming a movie, I played video games on my Xbox series X, and played a blu-ray. Whenever the image on the screen was bright, the TV made the high pitch sound. The picture is fantastic, but the whine is distracting.

Has odd ripple distortions in reflections when turned off but doesn't effect picture quality. I really dislike the LG website which makes you literally scroll through hundreds of TV models to find yours in order to comment. Common people just let us enter our model number.

The tv was repaired within a hour of him showing up. Other then that the tv is awesome. I would definitely recommend. I think we just got unlucky and the tv had a bad power supply.

The problem is that my G2, and that of many others, doesn't play nicely with wifi and will regularly and randomly switch off its wifi functionality entirely. It's been doing this since I bought it but LG won't replace the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless connectivity problems I really wanted to give this a five star rating I just cannot. The quality of the features and picture is phenomenal. Here is where the problem lies. The TV continued to lose wireless connections and there was no way to fix it unless you unplug the TV and reset everything. Went on YouTube videos and there was also a couple other ways of doing it but they only worked some of the times by changing the country of where you live and then resetting it back. The only fix to the solution was I used an ethernet cable and hardwired it into my Internet because I really did not want to return the TV and go back to Samsung which I’ve never had any issues with. I called LG and here is the other problem. They would not admit to any wireless dropping Internet problems which seems to be a very common theme when you start researching on the Internet. So unless you were prepared to run a direct connection I would not recommend this TV. If you are able to run a direct connection the TV is awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! I owned a 65" LG oled tv for about 6 years and thought it was amazing. The picture quality of this tv blows it away! Watching your favorite movies is like seeing them for the first time. Even better is watching any kind of nature programming or sports!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY, VERY GOOD... So, I purchased this TV given it's place among the slim pickings 77" field this year. I have two other LG OLEDs. Frankly, I simply wanted the best picture money can buy, but maintain a 77". Sony's A95K is indeed the best, but only comes in a 65". This set is better than the C2. Deeper colors, a little more "POP". However, for the average TV consumer, they will likely be more than happy with the C2. The one HUGE issue I have with this set is the fact that it does not come with a stand. This is a first, YES I KNOW THE DESIGN WAS FOR WALL MOUNTING, but for may reasons, not everyone has the proper space for that application. Charing an additional $200 for the stand is part "nickel and diming" and part marketing stupidity. Everyone that reviews this TV on any forum mentions it and the price. PS, the stand is very "wobbly" compared to the C2 set up. By the time you add the stand, it is almost senseless to get the C2 unless you are a true videophile like myself. Now, onto the picture VERY GOOD, easily the best LG has ever offered. This set came in 3rd place in this year's "TV Shootout" behind the aforementioned Sony and Samsung's QD-OLED's. Both are indeed better, but only offered in 65" this year. The sound is less than impressive however, slightly better than the C2. This comes down to individual performance/value criteria. (having a house full of other LG appliances to boot, the stand thing still drives me crazy).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Beautiful! I’ve had the TV for about 2 weeks and I love it. For the price I wish it was professionally calibrated or at least included the best calibration settings for my room. I also wish it was more color accurate like the Sony OLED’s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OMG what a great picture! Bought this 77” LG OLED G2 tv on October 8, I’m so blown away by the picture quality and brightness. Had friends over watching football and they hate having to watch games on their home TV. I should get paid by LG since 2 buddies are now reaching deep to purchase the same TV. Only one issue, my previous LG TV remote had 2 on/off buttons, one for the TV and one for the cable box. My ne G2 remote has only 1 on/off button for the TV.

Only one issue......My Xbox Series X loses handshake when I exit any game and revert to the Home Screen. LG please resolve this on the next firmware upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful design but not the picture quality I have a CX and G1 and was excited when LG announced the even brighter G2. Finally got it and the quality is not as good as the G1 or CX. Pink bands appear on the left and right side and barely off angle viewing has a major pink tint to it. I submitted a support ticket with LG back in July and after several on sites to diagnose the issue, I'm told it's expected. Seriously??? Your new and improved is worse than your last 2 version? None of these issues with the other OLEDs in the house. Will think again about my next LG purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG G2 Picture on the G2 is incredible. My only concern when purchasing was if it would get bright enough for bright room viewing but this concern was quickly dismissed. Only negative is that the WebOS apps run slower than my old Roku stick. I highly recommend this TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Piece of Art I purchase this TV through Amazon a month ago. I was scared on how the TV was going to be delivered. It was professional deliver with three guys and a hand cart inside my home. The price was better than my local stores in town and was in stock. The picture quality is superior to any of the tv's out there. I have Over The Air antenna and 4k channels with Directv, the NextGen 3.0 tuner built in the tv made the picture even sharper to watch. The sound is very good for not having a sound bar and wowcast. Alot of streaming apps to choose from and LG free streaming apps. Alexa works great on controling the tv. Picture gallery is so unique with its moving pictures it's another piece art in my home. It was easy to install and very thin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tv overall I’ve had the television for about a month and have been extremely happy so far. The picture quality is excellent, even when using a device that caps out at 1080p. The size of the tv can emphasis the graininess of this lower resolution, especially up close. But the picture still looks great from a normal viewing distance at this resolution. 4K pictures look absolutely stunning. I have a PS5 hooked up to this tv, and I find myself just stopping to admire scenic views in games with great visuals much more so on this OLED screen than my previous 4k LED screen. The built in features and menus are useful and easy to access. I use a sound bar, but did initially test the tv speakers and they sounded pretty good for built-in speakers. I have experienced only very minor drawbacks with this set. The included wall-mount is very sturdy and works great, keeping the tv virtually flush with the wall for that gallery-style look. The mount does allow the tv to come away from the wall to access the back panel, although it is a little bit difficult to get it to come out and to push it back. I always feel a little worried pushing on the tv, as it does require some force to move and the mount connects to the tv in what is almost its very center. The included remote is great, although I find the the cursor-style pointer option to be a little finicky and not as easy to use as I feel it could be. This is easily by-passable. These minor issues aside, this set has been the perfect addition.

Did a lot of research on UHD TV units with a particular emphasis on OLED, and decided to go with the LG G2 65” set based on feedback from several sites and this units particular features. Liked the gallery feature in particular in addition to the ability to access (5) different viewing modes. Our previous set didn’t show dark scenes well which is why we were looking at OLED. After a little over a month of viewing, I can say that OLED has adequately addressed that issue. Love the unit. Colors are clear and vibrant. Love it, love it, love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Quality in a Television - G2 We bought this TV to replace one damaged by lightning. We paid less for this one than for our previous model and have an order of magnitude in improved features and picture quality. The picture is flawless. The only uncertainty we have is that the set loses connectivity with our home internet and needs refreshing more often than the other TVs in the home. We're running Zen Wifi Pro ET12 mesh routers with two of them in the home. The only thing we think might affect our connection is that the TV is equidistant from both routers and may be deciding which to connect to as it boots up. Otherwise, my HD antenna works better than on any other TV and we can't be happier. We can't wait to hook up our Denon 7.2 sound system with Definitive speakers to see how it does with an HD movie.

With the LG G2 day or night you get so much more out of the movie or series. There are so many features it took me some significant time to figure them all out.

Having just replaced a high end 4K tv from a competitor that was 8 years old with the LG G2 Oled, I expected some improvement - but not this much!! The color, clarity and even the sound are much improved for both SDR and HDR - this is the best TV we have ever owned!! And with each connection port supporting HDMI 2.1 we can enjoy Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and other HDR formats so much more!! We highly recommend this TV and you will be so happy you made the investment!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flaws in simple features We have the 83inch and the screensaver is frustrating and reading in the reviews it seems we have no control over this. Also the Always Ready Moments there is no option to deleted certain pictures and also it seems you can only have 16 photos. I was ready to re load more images but now it will not allow me to feature any of my photos, it says that it’s been downloaded and to view it under Always Ready under Moments but nope no signs of my pictures at all! I have been doing this process for the last 2 days and have been unsuccessful putting images back into my Always Ready.
