Works fine after uninstalling the software.
Do not install the software for the device. The software caused problems in windows 10. Use it as plug and play.

Volume lower than when using 1/8" jack.
BT capability works just fine. My IT department had to install and it was not easy finding the drivers. Volume is significantly lower using BT vs corded headphones.

Don't Buy this for use with Bose headphones.
It flat out did not work. It would not connect to my Bose QC35 headphones. That was the reason I purchased it. What a bust.

Dell Inspirion 15
Buying a Dell Inspirion 15 laptop was a terrible decision. The blue tooth did not work, and after speaking with most of the population of India or Pakistan or Bangladesh, I was told tough luck, the 30-day warranty had expired. As a last resort Dell sent this adapter.
Of course it did not work.

Very unstable, Very low range (< 15 feet)
Very unstable, Very low range (< 15 feet. I am using it on a Dell XPS Windows 10 desktop to push music to a Bluetooth speaker. The same speaker works great from my cellphone but when used with IOGear Bluetooth adapter it stutters and stops and does not work beyond about 15 feet.

Not compatible with older Mac OS
Purchased this adapter so I could use the Apple Magic Mouse, but my Mac wouldn't recognize it. IOGEAR says it works with Mac OS 10.3.9 or later, but it didn't work with Mac OS 10.6.8. Chatted with IOGEAR who confirmed it needs a driver and is plug and play, but they don't supply a driver. Was unable to find a driver on Apple's website. Researched the product's compatibility online and found info stating it's only compatible with 10.8 or later. So it's getting returned.

Works, but needs generic drivers
Had some trouble connecting, but used Windows Update to replace the outdated (since 2016? driver for the USB with a generic that works fine.

Works great. Mega small so its easy to hide. I mostly use it to transfer video and pictures back and forth with my phone. The speed is kind of slow (i think around 50-100kbps), but that could be the dongle on my phone. It is not designed for multiple machines. This thing is almost impossible to pull out with stubby fingers due to its size so if you plan on using it with a few PCs, purchase more than one. It does what I want it to and after a few months it still works and hasn't burnt out (really shouldn't but good to know for businesses). I recommend this for a business that is try to keep the back of the PC as clear as possible.
