Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have a chance to put two of these in place for a SMB. They are being used to protect a couple of their servers, and they did quite well while I serviced the place. Once a week I would go in and test the batteries, during the year I saw no degradation. The 5P is a pretty wide range of power, I think ours were around 1500w apiece. Good units.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product with full potential yet to be realized.I got a 5P1000 unit, it does the job, but I think this unit was designed a little too environment specific.Like for an IDF room I think it is a good fit, something for office use not so much. I'd have no issue using this in a small IDF, but for the normal office it may not be the best choice for the following reasons.I wish there was a way you could make the secondary outlet groups just act as a power strip so you can plug in printers, etc.The thing that probably bugs me the most is how noisy the fan is on the unit, and it's always running.I could see using this in SMB offices in many ways, but the fan noise makes it kind of unappealing for that application.I'm also a bit surprised the unit has no circuit breaker on it, I don't know that's if this protection is something built into the firmware or not. This is the first time I have seen a UPS with no breaker.I also found this odd, but i'm sure it's to code and everything. The main power cord on the unit says it's 16AWG which seems odd because i've seen units half this size even they have 14AWG cords. The cord seems heavy like a 14AWG, but the info on it says 16AWG, possible it's just mislabeled too.If the this device had some updates making it office suitable and upgrading the wiring and adding a breaker i'd probably give it 4.5- 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic UPS - bought a pair of them with the EBM and management module and I couldn't be happier. Putting them in all of my racks from here on. Beats the APC management tools hands-down, and with the solid warranty and construction, I'm glad I made the switch.
