Dymo LabelManager 280 Handheld Labelmaker Monochrome Thermal transfer is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Expensive battery This thing should have been designed to work when plugged in. Or work with AA batteries. Once the battery went bad the label maker is useless. The replacement battery is expensive so I'll probably just buy a different label maker and make sure it does not have this issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Charger???? Yeah. I need one more thing that has to be charged. How about just some AA batteries? Where is my charger, anyway? I know it's with all my left socks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DOES NOT TURN ON!! Heard many good things about this product and decided to buy it to be more organized. Sadly it DOES NOT WORK. I installed the battery and connected it to charge. When I pressed the power button, it would not turn on -- completely dead. I received a defective product and am very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest labelmaker! I bought this because I thought it would be fun to have but in the back of my mind I was kind of expecting I would bore easy of it the way many do when buying something like this. However this little gadget is awesome. It's super easy to change out the ribbon so I can jump between colors (bought a combo pack of labels with it) so easy that I am not limited in style. I researched various brands of label makers to be sure I got the best quality. This brand had the highest ratings. One of the things people focused on besides the variety of fonts since you can hook it up to your pc and use any font you want was that this brand wasted the least amount of Label. It leaves about a half an inch on either side of the writing. The only part that is a little annoying is the extra steps you have to take to even add a period let alone other symbols (which they do give you a very decent variety to choose from) If they made it easier to use punctuation It would be a perfect gadget

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product. PERIOD! Some things are not worth saying as they are what they are. This device is an absolute gem. I've purchased two of them: for work and home. I will be getting one for my kid to keep him away from mine!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Will not work with my computer First I am a web editor, my son is an IT person. I have PC that's only 2 years old and I/we have tried everything to get the computer to see the Labelmanager 280 to no avail. Installed, uninstalled, fully charged all the time and nothing. It did work once and I have tried for two days and nothing again. I'm using it *handheld* but would be much quicker if I could type labels on the computer.
