A mini-tower UPS with line interactive topology, the CyberPower PFC Sinewave CP1500PFCLCD provides battery backup (using sine wave output) and surge protection for desktop computers, workstations, networking devices, and home entertainment systems requiring active PFC power source compatibility.

The CP1500PFCLCD features an advanced multifunction control panel with a color LCD to quickly confirm status and alerts at-a-glance. The screen tilts for easy viewing when the UPS is placed in a low position such as under a desk. Two USB charge ports (one Type-A and one Type-C) power portable devices such as mobile phones and tablets, even during a utility power failure.

The CP1500PFCLCD uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct minor power fluctuations without switching to battery power, which extends battery life. AVR is essential in areas where power fluctuations occur frequently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice UPS for the price Full disclosure: As a member of the CyberPower Advocates group here on Spiceworks, CyberPower sent me a CP1500PFCLCD UPS and an optional RMCARD205 remote management card for it free of charge. However, I have really been impressed with CyberPower products for several years. This is the reason I applied for membership in the advocate group when approached about it. I'm really happy with my CP1500PFCLCD and the RMCARD205. It delivers cleaner power to the devices I have it protecting than previous UPSs I've owned. Cleaner power means better performance from the protected devices. It also actually means longer battery life in many cases because all the energy from the battery is going to the actual frequency of power the protected devices use. Simulated sinewaves have energy at harmonic frequencies of the main output frequency, and those harmonics are not only potentially harmful (and at least undesirable) to the protected equipment, but also take additional energy from the battery. The color LCD display on the CP1500PFCLCD give a lot of useful information at a glance. I can see the status of the battery charge, how much of a load is on the UPS, and other useful items at a glance. Of course, this information is available on several less expensive models from CyberPower, too, but the color makes the display easier to read at a glance. The remote management feature (using the optional card plugged into the unit) makes this UPS a good choice for protecting devices that aren't readily accessible (say, in a closet or the basement) that you still want ready access to the power condition. The unit I was sent is a newer design than what is pictured on this page. It has a single USB type A port on the front for powering devices that use a USB power input. The second USB port is replaced by a type C port, and it delivers enough battery-protected power to run devices like the Raspberry Pi 4. Right now, that may not seem like a big deal, but I predict it will be in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mid size UPS For the money and sine wave output it's kind of a no brainer. This unit has allowed me to have a proper backup on a higher end workstation where previously i would have considered more expensive rack oriented options.
