Product Overview

Main Features
  • 10/100 16-Port VPN Router
A Plethora of Ports, Speeds, and Redundancies

Network connections are the backbone of business connections. Formerly Linksys Business Series, now Cisco Small Business Routers, the RV016 Virtual Private Network (VPN) Router super-charges your connectivity, supporting up to 16 wired and 100 off-site connections. The latter allows users to connect to your network with secure access to your files and intranet.
The RV016 comes with dual Internet ports that can serve as a failsafe system for 24/7 network uptime or as a secondary connection to a separate Internet provider. In addition, up to five of the router's network ports can be reconfigured as such for a total of seven layers of redundancy and speed.
Additional features of the RV016 VPN Router include:
• 50 QuickVPN users and up to 100 IPSec tunnels for remote network access and/or to connect different RV016-based networks to one another
• Up to 10 users connecting via a Point-to-Point Tunneling protocol
• Separate Quality of Service (QoS) configurations for each of the RV016's individual LAN ports
• Up to 200Mbps of throughput per full-duplex LAN port

45 LinkSys RV 106 IPSEC VPN tunnels are really solid and we have one of them even talking to an ISA IPSEC tunnel, that's amazing. March 25, 2014
25 I would kinda of question the business grade nature of this device, being as I've had more luck with consumer grade linksys devices. March 23, 2014
35 I generally do not trust these. Too many issue with Linksys "pretending to be business class" gear that they are not reliable and lack obvious features. September 5, 2013
45 Not a bad switch / router. Though I am not a Cisco fan, I have used these in the past. Fair to good. December 30, 2012
55 These have been a great firewall/VPN tunnel for us. January 26, 2012
55 I use this at home after it was "retired" at work, and it still works great. It's as easy to setup as any other Linksys product I've dealt with, and right now I'm using for a hardware based VPN connection to my office (which runs a Fortigate-60B device) that NEVER fails. This thing handles Bit Torrent traffic with EASE, it works great with the uPnP function of uTorrent and my Xbox 360.If it was at gigabit speeds, I'd be even happier .... March 24, 2010
55 We've used everything on the unit with great success so we bought another one. The failover/multi-link internet ports (up to 7) are the Cat's meow if you're using two different providers and one of them happens to go down. The IPSEC VPN tunnels are really solid and we have one of them even talking to an ISA IPSEC tunnel, that's amazing. Monitoring and logging are verbose enough to find those pesky flooding IP's to block. May 26, 2009
55 A brand that has been around for awhile, very quality product. The Dual WAN ports for failover/load balance makes this an even better buy. IPSec tunnels play well with other vendors not just Linksys. The additional ports allow for greater diversity and expansion. Use the ports for individual computers or for adding more devices, wireless etc. September 15, 2008
