Know your gear
Our network technicians will:
• Verify the router has been powered down
• Disconnect attached cables and accessories
• Remove the router from the existing mount such as wall mount, or rack mount
• Neatly dress the associated cables
• Pack the router and accessories in customer supplied packaging
• Relocate system within the same street address
• Unpack your router at the new location
• Deploy the server in an existing rack
• Inventory the hardware to make sure that all required accessories are included
• Mount the router in a rack, if required
• Dress cables to conform to customer datacenter standards
• Connect the power supply
• Connect the router to the local network and the WAN port (MODEM configuration is not supported)
• Load customer supplied router configuration for the new network
• Verify default network connectivity with the customer’s NOC, or existing Internet access
• Once connectivity is verified the technician will remove leftover packaging to a trash or recycle bin
Assumptions:
• Not responsible for customer data loss
• Customer will be called to schedule within 24 hours (excluding weekends) of receiving notification
• Work will be scheduled within 72 hours of receiving equipment
• All work will be performed under a single site visit
• All work during regular business hours
• Customer responsible for all data/configuration backup
• Work orders will be completed with a project sign-off form
• Should work be required that is not included in the scope, a work addendum will be created
• Customer will provide the technician with workspace, access to network, user names and passwords and configurations required to perform the work
• Configuration to Customer Requirements other than the basic configuration will be charged at an hourly rate
