Rated 5 out of 5 by from Labels do not stick to the folders We have used these labels for years, however in the last 2-3 years we have major issues with the labels sticking-we put labels on hundreds of folders and have to tape all of them on or else they fall off when you file the folders away. If someone has a better suggestion or another brand that we can use let me know.

They are nice to have when needing to re organize a filing cabinet with out having to buy new folders u just place the sticker over the top of old writing! I have also used these on kids storage bins to label them! These would also work for garage sale pricing and much more they stick very well do not fall off or peel on edges!

These are great because you get so many in the pack, they adhere well and if you want to use the same folder twice it completely covers the previous writing. I definitely recommend!

Easy to use in any printer, easy to peel off, easy to attach. The trueblock technology is great, covering up whatever you put it on top of so reusing folders is a breeze. They cover up my old writing or old labels completely. Labels don't curl or fall off because of the tougher adhesive is used. Not to mention it works amazing in my printer.

These labels were easy to use, and stick quite well. I was able to do some fancy font printing and both my printer and permanent marker worked great and did not smear. Would buy again.

These labels makes that so simple. With schools in such financial distress, this simple recycling of folders actually saves a lot of money.

They stick well enough to their page so that they don't un-stick while going through the printer, but they come right off when you are ready to use them. We are now using scotch tape to keep them in place because they are not sticking to the manila folders from the moment we apply them! We are systematically going through all of our old files to put tape on them. A complete waste of time! Very disappointing!

They were very easy to print and I was happy to be able to recycle these old folders. I find Avery products easy to use and the Design & Print Online is a breeze.

Avery quality has always been supreme and when we needed a label to cover something that we would be distributing to the public, these labels definitely fit the bill. The template was also very easy to use when opened up in Word. They are called "file folder labels", but as with most labels, can be used for other purposes. I would highly recommend Avery products to any who asked.

I have been using the same files each year, just using a mass update to change the year as they passed by. I print out a set for the year for a lady I work with. In January I present her with a years of daily labels. I takes so little time and seems to impress my co-worker.

The problem with the labels is that when the first line of text is entered, it automatically is placed at the bottom of the label instead of the top. The typist must then modify the label text to get the text to the top of the label. This becomes quite labor intensive, and results in the time required to complete the labels being nearly double what it would be if the text automatically was placed at the top of the label.

These are by far the worst labels we've ever used. They simply do not stick to any type manila folder. This is a nightmare when retrieving folders only to find the labels have fallen off within days of adhering them! Needless to say we trashed our stock of Avery labels and are using another brand. Avery needs to either bring back the previous labels or resolve the adhesion problem with the True Block.

Some within days. I don't relable folders so the ink coverage does not concern me. Having them curl up and come off does. It's not just one box either because I bought two - both are the same. I will never buy these again and I would never recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are awful! Since Avery has created the "TrueBlock" Technology, these labels are terrible. They do not stick to file folder tabs. After putting the label on, I either have to use tape over the top to keep it on the folder, or use a commercial label protector from another company. We run these through all types of printers, so I thought it was the heat of a printer breaking down the adhesive, but even sticking these on fresh out of the box they don't adhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from File Folder Labels FOR EVER I love printing on these file folder labels. I use the blank ones (no color lines). When I need color coding, I simply just add what ever shape or design to the label itself. I think some people have had issues, but that's because printer settings or feeder trays may be skewed. Be sure to check that and if needed, change the 'paper type' to thicker paper, or labels. The 'grabber' in your printer will adjust and grab the paper slower so as not to jam or skew the print. Easy to add any design/logo/font or color for your personalized project.

I've run sheets of these through really fancy printers, and old not-so-fancy ones...the stickers don't get stuck or peel inside the printers. But they're easy to peel when you're ready to use them. I've written on them with markers, pens, and pencils, and the paper will take all the different media. Great product - I'd recommend them to anyone.

At first I thought maybe it was the heat from the printer but that doesn't make sense because these are created to go through a printer. I have had to resort to using double-sided tape to keep labels on my file folders. The extra work to use these labels makes me unwilling to recommend or repurchase the Avery brand again.

I have found that the file folder labels I used, the 5360, do not stick to the Pendaflex Manila Folders, but they do stick to Pendaflex & Smead COLORED folders. For Manila Folders, I have had to switch to the TrueBlock/Permanent Adhesive Labels and I have not had any issues with those...yet. I hope that this might help address issues with your standard file folder labels.

We have to tape every edge of the labels to get them to stay on our folder, regardless if using new folders or reusing older one. If I could give zero stars I would!

Not only does it make corrections or re-use of a folder a snap, but it also makes it easy to label otherthings with instructions that can be removed. I use them to identify two very similar postcards that I send to merchants--after the identifing name of the item, I simply add "this lable is removable - peel to remove". I've been using these for years and have always made my support staff use them, too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Use for True Block Labels On very short notice, I recently had a very small area that needed to be corrected and did not have time to redo the job; I took one of the True Block Labels and cut it to fit the area that needed to be corrected then I was able to make my correction and it was hardly noticable! I had tried correction tape and it was sticky and didn't allow me to make the correction without it being noticable and I didn't even want to think about correction fluid cuz it would be lumpy and again, I wouldn't be able to make the correction without it being noticable! I thought this was a New Use for the True Block Labels!

I use a lot of this size label and always liked the repositionable labels. I cannot find them at Office Depot where I shop. The True Block labels NEVER feed properly and I feel I am wasting my money. However I do need good labels as it is a requirement for our product.

I finally came to your website and looked up the product number hoping that it would declare it as a temporary label and point me to another product as a "permanent" one. Very disappointing to see that Label 5366 is described as "permanent" and "guaranteed not to peel or curl". Every time I put one on, I hate it because I know it is going to come off again, and will I catch the file in time before it gets misplaced??? AVERY, YOU ARE THE MARKET LEADER, CAN'T YOU COME UP WITH SOMETHING BETTER? I will gladly be your beta tester.

By using them I satisfy my need to be green because I get to re-use folders where projects have been completed and where the contents of the folder are no longer needed. This also has reduced the amount of money we need to spend each month on new boxes of manila folders. A very good investment for anyone regardless of if you need it for personal or business use.

I generate pages of my most frequently used accounting codes, and then simply peel and stick to the invoice before sending to Accounts Payable. We use Oracle, so it saves time writing 40-digit codes over and over. No errors reading my handwriting, because printed codes are clear. Also makes file folders easier to read, and more professional-looking.

We used the labels by printing them on the computer. This feature of being able to print them showed the students with poor handwriting that they could still have neat folders that will organize their work. While I used tthe labels as a learning experience, I also benefited by now having an organized file cabinet!!

My co-workers and I were so thankful to have a file folder label that would allow us to re-use file folders. However, the label with TrueBlock does not stick to the file folder tab of any manila folder. To open a file drawer and find labels missing is an organizer's nightmare. We have experimented on new file folders and the adhesion is no better. We have ensured that the sheet of labels only runs through the laser printer once; labels will not stick to the file folder tab. The back of the label becomes a dark gray after printing on a standard desktop laser printer. We don't know what else to do. I ordered another 750-count pack under a product description of "permanent file folder labels" but received the TrueBlock variety again. Please tell me there is a remedy for this problem!

Within 5 minutes of sticking them on a folder, the ends start to peel up. I now have to use a glue stick to glue the labels down. I find this to be unacceptable considering the money we pay to buy Avery products vs. the generic store brand. I expect better.

Some of us have turned file folders inside out to get a clean ID tag to work with but that can get confusing if they are misfiled with the wrong side showing. This is a great solution for using very serviceable files over and over.

They are always peeling up and I glue the backside to keep it down and that still doesn't work. I had to replace them all with 5161 that never give me a problem. I tried a new batch of the 5366 labels and so far it looks like it will be more permanent. But why did it work for the others in my office. I tried using the same copier/printer instead of the one I use, and it still did not work.

Once a file has reached an expiration date, we transfer the documents into a manila folder. Instead of printing a new set of labels (while having to white out the other label left behind) we simply "peel off" the original label without the gooey buildup! One of their best products.

Every visit requires at least one form be filled out and often I am required to list my prescriptions. I have eliminated the need to memorize the spelling of my meds by typing them onto file folder labels. I list them all on one label and copy to the entire column of labels. Then at the doctor's office I can just stick the label onto the form and I'm done. it's wonderful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these Labels I use these everyday. I am an office manager for a construction company and we acquire new clients and vendors each day. These labels never fail me. There are some days I only need one and others where I need quite a few. Some of the other labels I have tried get curled up on the bottom edge and cause a printer jam. I started using these ones 2 months ago and I have had nothing but success. It may sound strange to rave about labels but they always come out perfectly in line and No paper jams, so they really do make my work much easier.

Although I normally use and love Avery products, I have found that the last two boxes of TrueBlock Technology file folder labels (#5366) have performed poorly. The labels don't stick well and this is on new (never used) manila file folders. To have to constantly reapply or reinforce placment of label indicates a major issue. Never had an issue before and don't know whether it is a new formula or something else. Very unhappy with the performance. Not the usual for an Avery product.

The labels fit the file folder perfectly and there is no cutting to get them to fit on the tab. These labels also work GREAT to print the label and then stick on the card insert for the hanging file folders tab insert for easy visibility and organization in file drawers, desk drawers, and anywhere else that hanging file folders are used. Being able to do that helps me to keep files organized and easy to find and helps quickly set up files.

Whether you choose to write on your labels or use the printer for your labels, you can't go wrong. My favorite part is that even if you don't print a full sheet of labels and have to use some later, the paper still pulls through your laser printer just like it was the first time. Highly recommend!!

They are easy to use and format, easy to print, don't tend to smear even with bold fonts, and have been a great assett to me and have helped me a great deal in keeping organization amongst the three home-based businesses that my spouse and I run! The only suggestion I have for Avery is to offer these labels with perforations to enable the use of a half-page instead whole page when necessary. Labels with borders, colors, or designs/business coding, would also be additional benefits to have!

I finally downloaded the AVERY Template and have it saved. I get perfect labels every time!! If I use one label or the whole page I never have to re-do them!! Awesome in my book!!!

Re-using file folders is one way to do this, but until I discovered labels with "TrueBlock Technology" I wasn't always happy with the way they looked. "TrueBlock" means what it says--it completely covers the previous labels. I also like the fact that I can easily print one label or a whole sheet of labels using a label template, so there is no waste.

Also helps keep all files in order, with the computer printing them out you do not have to decipher what you wrote when you were in a hurry to get folder filled out and it made sence but later you are not sure of what you wrote.

And... stay put, and don't peel back up. I have also used them for return / address labels. These are a great home office partner - they multi-task! Using the Avery templates, they turn out very professional looking. (which makes me feel more professional, too, regardless of our start-up status!)

The labels stick great without any issue and they cover the marker on the original envelopes so you cannot see through. These are not the cheap ones, they cover and stick very well! I would definitely recommend.

They are strong enough to take abuse from things rubbing against it and they work good to write on with a black marker as well. I believe that if I had multi color ones I could separate my things a bit more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't stand the Sure Feed strips I have a newer printer at work and the Sure Feed version of these labels will NOT feed through it correctly. I have to manually feed page after page of them one at a time because if I don't, the printer will pick up several pages at once, without fail. I don't have this problem with any other size or shape of label, just these with the Sure Feed strips.

Then we went to print them and had several jams. Finally getting them to go through, they came out misaligned. The first row printed and was usable. Then the rows were way off and images were cut off and such. Went to the Avery templates and used it on our computer, which was easy to do but they do not print right as mentioned. They are nice labels just for hand labeling for presents or folders but are not what I expected when I tried them in the printer.

You get a whopping 1,500 labels in the box and I'm here to tell you that the amount lasts a long time! I love that they are super bright white, so they really stand out on the file folders. I also really like that they do not get stuck in my printer. The one thing I found is that I need to be more patient and allow them to fully dry before trying to put them on my folders, because otherwise if I try to put them on right away the ink tends to smear. These labels stick really well and I do not have any worries about them falling off. I would absolutely recommend these file folder labels to anyone who is looking for a bright, strong adhesive label from a well known and trusted brand as you will not be disappointed in these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Label Away I have used label that ink ran after printing because the label paper was either too weak or maybe it was the purchaser that didn’t know how to pick. Lol ME. I was very impressed that the TrueBlock File Folder Labels held up to two different printers and the ink stayed perfectly and very visible. The ink did not smear or stayed wet. These labels were also easy to write on with a Shapie marker or with a simple pencil, which was incredibly great. I have a small home office and labeling is very important. I have grown children as well and it seems that’s moms little office is where they need to bring paperwork too for easy access later. I’m glad I have these TrueBlock File Folder Labels and you would be too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed My new box of 5366 labels are smearing and smudging in my LASER printer. They never did before. I've bought these for years and never experienced smearing. I appreciate the new "SURE FEED Technology but I'm wondering if it has changed the label texture and caused the ink not to set. TrueBlock is covering as always and still an excellent feature.
