On April 7, 2026, Anthropic introduced Claude Mythos, its newest AI model. Mythos showcased a new level of cybersecurity proficiency, identifying thousands of previously unknown vulnerabilities in major software platforms. These weaknesses have escaped decades of human review and automated testing. Perhaps most striking was Mythos’s ability to rapidly weaponize its findings, developing working exploits within hours rather than weeks.
