The Epson PowerLite L520W is a long-throw projector that casts big, bright and easy-to-read images suitable for a variety of applications, including business and education. The Epson L-Series are amongst Epson’s brightest fixed-lens projectors, reaching up to 7,000 lumens. The latest Epson L-Series projectors share the same cabinet as the previous generation of L-Series.

The L520W displays up to a 280” WXGA widescreen image and includes split screen capability, which allows for it to take in multiple inputs wirelessly (like laptops and smartphones) and show them simultaneously. There are multiple connectivity options with the L520W, including HDBaseT, HDMI, VGA, RJ-45 and RS-232.

Touching briefly on the Three Liquid Crystal Display (3LCD) technology within the L520W and the other Epson projectors mentioned here—it’s often compared to DLP, another common projector technology. 3LCD divides lights into three separate panels for red, green and blue rather than one, hence the “3”. Some of the advantages of 3LCD projectors include excellent color saturation, higher brightness capacity and higher efficiency than DLP. Read on to learn more about LCD vs DLP projectors.

However, if you can count on darkness or near-dark conditions, ambient room lighting isn’t as much as a factor and brightness isn’t quite as important.
