Easy to configure and FAST
I purchased this to replace/upgrade older Netgear network switches in my house. Setup was a breeze using the ProSafe pro and web interface. I have two of the 8-port switches as hubs and several of the 5-port as end units behind computers and entertainment systems. I flashed the firmware, and the new switches immediately found all the others and my entire network is gigabit and totally stable! Really REALLY fast also - I have fiber optic to the street and we can stream and game forever! Great job Netgear!

Great switch for security monitoring
These switches are great for applications where you need something more than an unmanaged switch, but more than nothing. I choose these when I need port mirroring for security monitoring and nothing else.
