The width is fine but the length is about a half inch to short. Threw the package away so I don't know what the order number was.

I was told by two different reps. via chat that I didn't need to order a holster because it came with the case I was ordering. WRONG. So I ordered a holster for an iPhone 6s separately. It's the wrong size. Submitted request for help twice. No response.

They should be improved to last a life time not 1 year. The replacement one fits my phone & it's Otterbox defender case like the original one. I hope I don't have to replace this holster before I have to replace the phone

I removed the original clip and added a metal swivel clip that I made from an old flip phone case that I had. This allows for my phone to clip on my pants pocket and let’s my phone move more freely. If Otterbox would make them, I think others would purchase them, mainly contractors, etc..

It catches on everything if the back clip was made to break away and snap back on it would be the greatest phone holder ever.

I ordered this replacement and received it promptly. The entire Otter box is a life saver for the BRICK I Phone I carry with me at all times. If you brake your holster and need to reorder , they have two sizes. One for sensible sized iPhones, and one for PLUS sized ones. Order the right one!

This is disappointing, as it would take hardly anything to make it stronger. I realize the 6SPlus is a large phone, but I am a senior citizen and I need to larger phone to be able to see it. The case is great!

I now have a spare for when it happens again. Getting expensive. Otherwise I love the Otterbox, just not the clip.

I feel that my phone is pretty secure and readily available when it is in the holster on my hip. As for the rest of the Otterbox, after a while the I-Phone would no longer recognize my thumb print and I had to switch to typing my password. I think the clear, plastic cover gets occluded by oils and dirt and no longer lets the thumb print register.

In my opinion the design of this holster doesn't provide enough protection from possibly losing your phone. The holster should be more of an encasing for the phone to be safe not just have the grooves and the corners as protection. I hope going forward they make a better holster for their phones. The best holster I've seen by Otterbox was for my BB Curve some years ago

The flaw with the carriers is the hinges for the belt clip which are prone to break. This is the third carrier for this phone, and had to replace the carrier for my previous phone twice.

I am active, maybe clumsy to some people, and apparently tough on phone holders since I have had many holders through the past years with disastrous results to the phone and holder. It has done that very well having accidentally dropped it or it falling off something. NO phone damage! After all this time the only thing that happened to the Otter Box was that the belt clip on the holster snapped when my dogs leg got caught behind it. The dog was not damaged in the use of this product!

Mine has saved my phone from catastrophe a lot of times been dropped on cement floors has been accidentally dropped from over 10ft and survived forgot it was set down on a small excavater track and ran over and actually unbelievably survived this product might be a little bit pricey but a lot cheaper than replacing phones I can’t say enough good about it I would never have a cell phone without a otter box period

This is the second one I have purchased due to the first one breaking at the clip when it got caught on the seat belt release as I got out of the car. Yes it broke but I don't feel it was a bad manufacture issue or design flaw I feel any case in that situation would have broke.

I am in LOVE with the way it secures the phone. Most iPhone users know its 80% glass so I knew exactly what to get. I like the snug fit, and the 3 piece protection (bumper,shell,and built in screen protector) that it gives. Especially since I work in a big warehouse with cement floors, I can rest assured if and when my phone drops(and it has PLENTY) my phone is 100%safe. I have no worries..I just wish there were more colors but hey you choose your battles....I highly recommend it.

Of course normal wear and tear can be expected but just think how many years the Otter box lasted. Just now needed to replace after many years of hard use. As an example of Otter's durability, when I am using my chain saw, the Otter box is worn on the back of my cap in order for me to hear the phone ring over the noise of the chain saw. My phone is protected when the rugged use causes the Otter box with my phone to be knocked of my cap.

While not the toughest case Otterbox makes, it is still plenty of protection without being too bulky for my handbags. Now that the 6 Plus has been out for a while, the slip pockets in many handbags will accommodate a larger phone. I use the holster when I don't want to carry a purse. Well worth the money when you consider how expensive a phone is to replace. I hope someday they make the type of case that has extra battery life in it for the 6 Plus, as I loved the one I had for my 6. Otterbox, another good value!

The off brand was in the same price range, but that’s were the similarities stop! Needless to say it’s performance / quality was unacceptable, because yours is so superior. It's saved my phone from damage more than once. But the clip on the holster keeps breaking. It seems that when I'm in my truck that the seatbelt receptacle gets caught underneath the holster. The holster clip locks in the open position as a result. When I get out of the truck the clip snaps off. I no longer wear the phone on my belt while I'm driving. The case and holsters are warrantied for a year from the date. of purchase. I wish the clip didn't lock in the open position but it's just designed that way.

Unfortunately the holster is not as durable as the phone case is. I have been through 4 holsters. Either one of the tangs breaks, or the snap breaks or the clip breaks. The good news is that they are a cheap replacement, and they ship fast.

So did what I should have done in the first place. Bought a whole new case locally and threw the old one away. By the way nobody has anything for a 6 anymore. Cure, its the same as a iphone 7.

I have been through 5 holsters since I bought the Otter Box Defender case/holster for my iPhone 6 Plus - the same thing happened with my iPhone 4 Otter Box Defender case/holsters (went through 5 of those). Make the clip out of metal - steel, or at least aluminum - so it won't break so easily! I like the case/holster, but not how the clip breaks so easily.

While I have worn out several iPhones I have never experienced a loss due to dropping the phone. I always comes up ticking. It does make the phone a bit thick. for those worried about cell phone radiation, the clip can be positioned to increase the distance between you and the iPhone.

Complimenting my purchase with an Otterbox Defender Series holster only makes sense. I know without this accessory I would have misplaced my iPhone long ago. Then I would loose my iPhone, Defender case, and everything. Most people would use this holster to clip on to a belt, or pants. I use the Defender Series Holster to clip my iPhone in my shirt pocket. My activity is far too hectic, I would tare off My whole iPhone right off my belt. So I place this combination, of iPhone, Defender Series Case, and Holster in a big shirt pocket. This works out well for me, and I’ve never seen anyone else wear the Otterbox Defender Series protective case and holster the way I have to. Still I’m grateful for this winning combination from Otterbox, which works so well for me. Nothing is as practicle, and takes the punishment of an Otterbox. I highly recommend the Otterbox Defender Series Holster.

Over the years I encountered some rough usage situations, one of which I accidentally dropped the phone on the concrete (hard). The Otter Box had cracked and it was evident it was going to need to be replaced. The phone itself in immaculate condition and working perfectly. This holster was a replacement for the original one, after over a year of use, I broke one of the edge hooks that secure the phone. Quick service, ordered it online and received it in three days using normal shipping. I do recommend Otterbox change their comments form -- why insist a nickname must consist of at least 4 characters?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Otterbox Fatal Flaw The Defender is a must have for my iPhone, and I wouldn't be without it. My phone is in mint condition 18 months after I bought it. I can't say the same for the holster. The plastic belt clip is a huge flaw in an otherwise quality product. Their is no give in the rugged case. Snag it on something, or bend the wrong way and the plastic clip easily snaps. I snapped on by simply sitting down. If this was replaced with a metal clip the Defender would be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a relief When I caught my old holster in the seat belt I thought the whole Otter Box was a writeoff and I bought a cheaper replacement. Never did fit my belt right. What a relief to have the old OB back.
