As a powerful add-on to NetIQ's Directory and Resource Administrator, Exchange Administrator provides single-point policy-based administration for Exchange mailbox management across your enterprise. With this product, you can define policies that are automatically enforced and propagated across all directories, mailboxes and distribution lists. Spanning both Windows NT 4 and Windows 2000 systems, these policies increase security, reduce administrative costs and streamline migration from Windows NT 4 to Windows 2000. Exchange Administrator extends the power and management capabilities of NetIQ's Directory and Resource Administrator to Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000.
ActiveViews supplied in Exchange Administrator give you the power to group Windows 2000/Active Directory objects for mailbox management based on your specific Exchange organizational needs. You can also manage mailboxes based on your own grouping criteria, regardless of which domain or tree they are in without changing the underlying organizational unit (OU) structure.
The Web Console further meets your organizational needs by providing ease-of-use for new administrators and convenient access for remote administrators. This tool allows you to perform common Exchange mailbox administrative tasks and also reduces administrative workload and speeds up response times.
Exchange Administrator expands Directory and Resource Administrator, allowing you to manage Exchange 5.5 as if it were seamlessly integrated with user and group administration in Windows NT 4 or Windows 2000/Active Directory. The product's out-of-the-box settings help you enforce policy and workflow. For example, you can configure Exchange Administrator so that every time a user account is created, a mailbox for that account is automatically created. Security backups can be created at will. If a security problem arises after the backup, simply restore the saved security.
