The NetApp Storage Shelf DS224C - Storage Enclosure works to improve system functions as it features power supplies and fans to keep devices at the optimal temperature. The storage enclosure doesn't contain a CPU but is rack-mountable with two units in place. The NetApp DS224C storage shelf features 24 installed expansion bays and hot-swap hard drive compatibility. Usable for storage, the shelf is suitable for SSDs or self-encrypting drives.
The storage shelf has a SCSI 3 interface and a 7.6TB hard drive. Suitable operating temperatures range from 50°F to 104°F. The NetApp disk shelf has a frequency of 50 to 60 hertz and is able to support two power devices. For operation, it has an internal power supply and hot plug, and the average output is 120 to 230V. The size of the disk shelf is able to handle growth in capacity and workloads for large or small businesses.
