The Mitel® TA7102 VoIP phone adapter connects non-digital telephones and fax machines to a SIP-enabled IP network. It's a convenient choice for those with analog equipment who want to make the switch from a traditional telephony system to SIP services. Alternatively, this VoIP terminal adapter serves as a remote gateway with multiple access points between networks that filters and secures data passing through it. You can also use the Mitel TA7102 VoIP phone adapter to connect analog endpoints, like desktops, to a central Mitel communications server via a WAN IP network. Connecting with a communications server has multiple advantages. You'll gain access to scalable services that grow with your company and features like call waiting, e-911, and fax over VoIP. Multiple SIP Proxy support via DNS SRV allows you to route calls to any location using a public SIP address. Security features include SIP over TLS, SRTP, certificate management, and HTTPS. The union of these technologies reduces the possibility of information theft, data tampering, and eavesdropping. This analog phone adapter uses DHCP technology to assign IP addresses automatically, reducing administrative work. With Dual-Stack IPv4/IPv6 support using ANAT (RFC 4091), you're ready for the transition to IPv6 as IPv4 addresses run out. The Mitel phone adapter uses silence detection and suppression, vocoders with G.711 (A-law, ?-law), G.726, G.729a/bG.168 echo cancellation (64 ms) and Dual Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) to improve call experience.
