Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ordered direct from HP although I usually don't I purchased printer ink HP 74XL (Black) and 75XL (Color). After printing less than 50 4X6 postcards (mostly B&W) and one full color 8 1/2 X 11 sheet, I happen to view the the HP utility showing the ink remaining in my cartridges. I had only 25 % of my color ink remaining. It was evident that the HP75XL had been sent to me mostly empty. I have never had that happen before. HP was willing to replace my cartridge but wanted me to send them the faulty cartridge before they sent me a replacement. Duh, I had work to do and needed my printer. So, they agreed to send me a replacement, They said they would credit my credit card when they got the faulty one back. Should happen any day, now. x6

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ink Levels At about 75% to 80% use level, message is that ink levels are low. When first using any HP cartridges, I would reorder. Don't do it! Leave cartridge in until the ink fades. I find the same is true with another HP printer I have that uses different cartridges. Not sure if this is HP's marketing strategy or what. Other than this, I am okay with the products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely NOT 2x more I know the description says "up to" 2x more pages than regular refills, but this is no where close. I don't see a difference between the XL color cartridge over a regular HP color refill at all. I only use HP ink cartridges in my printer because they are the best quality. However, the XL color cartridge I recently put into my printer did about 75 photos and is already telling me it's low on ink. Now I get that 75 pictures is a lot of ink, but I've gotten similar results out of a regular cartridge in the past, if there is a difference, it's about 4-5 pictures more than a regular cartridge. I expected about 150-200 pictures from these XL cartridges because it says "520 pages" of their samples set. For the price difference of regular to XL cartridges, I don't see the value of "2x more" and will not be purchasing the XLs in the future. These cartridges seem to work better when they are Black only ink, I've had luck with getting more pages out of the 74XLs.

In this day and age of recycling and environmental concerns, it is disappointing to find out that the HP printer would not recognize the refilled HP cartridge. I was forced to buy a new one, if I wanted to the printer to work at all. Not a good feeling, sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XL Cartridge means XL time between purchases I like the XL cartridges because they last 2 - 3 times longer than standard and save ordering time and/or trips to the store. Usually they keep printing for quite a while after they are showing as empty. I keep using them until they start showing up weak in my prints. The only time I usually have trouble with using up one ink color and having to replace the cartridge before all 3 colors are gone or almost gone is when I'm printing multiple copies of a document or item which is heavy in one color such as red or blue.

The XL package is best in that it lasts longer and less expensive in the long run. I have tried cheaper "refills" and found that the ink quality is poor and the cartridges empty too quickly. I am staying with HP for life.

I am not sure why, but the cartridges I buy from you directly seem to last twice as long as the exact same product number I buy at the local box store (Walmart). Are their cartridges older? Rated 5 out of 5 by from XL is the way to go! I really do love my HP printer, and would only ever use HP ink. There is nothing like the finished product with an HP (printer AND ink). I thought I had a spare ink cartridge at home, but I did not. I ran out of ink while we were producing our wedding programs and other items, so I had to run to a local drug/convenience store open late on a Sunday (luckily HP products are usually easy to find). The store only had the regular size cartridges. 2 black and 2 color ink cartidges later, I wasn't even 1/3 of the way through what I needed to print! Luckily, my shipment of the XL cartridges from HP arrived quickly and I was able to finish everything!!! I LOVE that HP offers free overnight shipping of their ink! What a deal! I was able to finish our menu's, 8-page programs, and all the other items for the wedding, and everyone thought I had everything professionally printed. Great quality, great prices! Thanks, HP!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Color not as deep as former cartridge I replaced the 75 color cartridge I had with the same one, and comparison of the same photo done with each cartridge (on the 'best-quality' HP printer setting) showed, surprisingly, that the color was of a lesser quality than that of the former cartridge. The current print was made right after I opened the new cartridge. It was weaker, not as rich as the first. I recommend it, because there is no choice.

Even though they seem a little pricey, they last more than twice longer than the regular cartridges. I print out 8X8 color digital scrapbook pages, more than 250 per year, asides from my home office documents on my Photosmart C5280, and I am very satisfied with both the printer and the availability of the XL cartridges.

What I found was a great buy for my money and of course the color is amazing. I am also very happy with the ease of placing this cartridge in my printer. So simple to install, and it works like it should from the very start. I was afraid that the larger cartridge may not fit in my printer but there was plenty of room and I have not had any problems. I will continue buying HP XL cartridges for my printer, they are a great buy and are very reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basically a Good product I like the extra size of the cartridge. I do have a fault with it. It wipes off of my gloss print picture paper no matter how long you let it dry. I have to spray my pictures with clear laquer to keep the picture from wiping off.

I tried to reach hp but was unable to contact anyone. Although it is very convenient to have the ink cartridges delivered to our home, under the circumstances, I am not sure that I would order from them in the future.

But I have purchased my cartridges from Sams Club, Office Max and a number of other office supply places and they never seem to last. I mark the calendar when I install them and I keep track of my usage. It is true, others places do not fill their cartridges as full as the ones I purchase from HP. I get 3 times the service out of you XL cartridges and it is true for the black and colored cartridges. Along with using the "good" HP grade paper, I am always asked how sharp and crisp my prints are. So I guess you only get the best when you buy from the best.

I don't bother running to an office supply store, using my time, using my gas and then maybe finding out they don't have the cartridge I need. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but beware! This product as well as my HP Officejet 6480 works very well. I volunteered to do pictures for awards at school. About 50 a month. The color works very well especially on presentation paper which is lighter than brouchere and cheeper too. I have had my first failure with the 75 XLM just recently. Unfortunately, it was purchased >21 days before called. Therefore, no coverage. I have to go to tech support to deal with this and so far, I haven't had the courage. If you shop at the HP Home and Home Office store a lot, you probably get free next day shipping. So if you are not on a desparate time table and can hold on to your low ink cartridge, don't purchase until you need to. I've changed the way I shop so that I don't let a carthridge sit for more than a week. See pictures. They won't print with my current 75xl, but I bet they will with a new one. The alignment sheet also has lines in it, but prints other things fine.

Your IT help hung up and never called back and was having trouble with the trouble shooting. Will go some where else for a different brand of machine now. Really disappointed.

The ink is delivered well wrapped and ready to use. I love this older printer which I have ha for over ten years, no paper jams and the ink is easy to load and center the cartridges.

Many were only half full. Even though the cost is more, I have decided to continue purchasing the HP cartridges.

The cartridges are arrived very quickly. The print quality is excellent still after all these years. I am contemplating upgrading to a newer HP wireless printer, but I will still keep this printer because it works so good!
