The Alcatel-Lucent 7750 Integrated Media Modules (IMMs) are designed for high-capacity and high-speed IP / MPLS-based routing and services applications. The IMMs deliver high-density Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) and 10GigE, as well as support for SONET / SDH OC-768c/STM-256c, 40GigE and 100GigE interfaces with support for advanced traffic management with Hierarchical Quality of Service (H-QoS), a full range of Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing capabilities, Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN services and residential services. Designed to enable service providers to keep pace with exponential growth in network traffic, they are optimized for locations in the network that require high-density GigE / 10GigE, high-speed 40-Gb/s and 100-Gb/s interfaces, and high performance IP / MPLS routing and services.
