Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great design concept! I purchased my first slim book case last July. I have to say this is one of the greatest case concepts I have ever seen and it functions near flawlessly. That being said I really like this case but here is why I gave it a poor ranking. I am now typing on my fifth slimbook pro case for the iPad Pro 12.9". The best thing about zagg is their customer service they are by far the best costumer service that I have ever had to deal with. The first keyboard I purchased came defective and it was replaced. The next keyboard I recieved had a line that did not look quite right but I used it anyway and within a week that line had cracked. This process was repeated several times through the next few replacements it switched from keyboard to case defects in every replacement. These defects were miner but they turned into the problem that made the product almost un-usable. The keyboard replacement before this current one the hinge (where it holds the ipad case) went out within a week and when I was in class someone set there books down on the table and do to this defect it resulted in the screen coming detached from the keyboard and falling on the floor shattering the screen protector and this was the first time my ipad had ever fallen from any distance. I was upset at this however I was sent yet another keyboard which is this current keyboard. When I opened the box the case portion of the keyboard was already cracked. I have been using it ever since and I will need to request a replacement soon. Trust me when I say I take good care of my Ipad and the case I have over $1200 in this setup and I cannot afford to replace it so it gets treated very well. This is why I was so upset when the case separated and it fell on the floor for the first time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Case needs to be discontinued i've been through 3 of these cases now. they do not support the heavy size of the screen. after some months go by the ipad will start to wobble in display mode. seems ive been told i got a bad keyboard case. but all the ones i've gotten have been like this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Case is super fragile! Bought new about a month ago. Plastic case half is cracking and falling apart around the lightning connector/speaker and volume buttons. Case is broken with pieces missing around the docking side. Aluminum keyboard side is fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keyboard is great but wish they had rugged version I bought this keyboard and case the day after Christmas when I got my iPad. I use it to stream video, reply to email and browse the web. The keyboard on the product is awesome and I love the fact that I can link it to my phone, laptop and iPad. My whole issue with the product is the hard plastic shell. My first case started cracking near the speaker cut outs. I called and they asked for pictures and I sent them in. Right away they replaced the keyboard and I had to ship the old one back in. I thought it was great until I realized it cost me $43 to ship since they only provide a PO box and most ground options won't deliver to a PO box. I have the replacement now and the plastic is cracking near the charger. Just like before, it hasn't been dropped and I haven't been hard on it. It looks like it is just weak plastic that started cracking and while I can still use it, I am shocked that this is the second one in 3 months that is cracking. My kids both have the rugged case for their smaller iPads and I would buy that in a heartbeat. Now, even if they offer another replacement under warranty, I will have put out $86 dollars to ship the broken ones back which I feel I might as well put towards a new product from someone else. I love Zagg products and have used them as long as I have owned my first iPad 2, but I just can't recommend this particular keyboard. I will consider purchasing the rugged version if they ever make it available but I can't recommend this particular case in good faith.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Case is brittle and broken in several places I purchased this and the case that holds the iPad side is brittle plastic. It has broken in all spots where it connects to the keyboard, volume adjusts, power button is pushed. I travel a lot so the case is in and out of my briefcase, getting x-rayed and thrown in overhead bins. I expected it to be much more sturdy. The first price fell off during week one of use. In the next couple weeks it will have to be thrown out. The main reason I bought this was for the key board which still works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great service I bought a case for my iPad Pro about seven months ago and the case broke. Zag is in process of replacing it free after I return the broken case. The hinge broke but I thoroughly enjoy the case and keyboard...I would have bought another one but they are replacing it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design Our Judges purchased these cases for their IPad Pro 12.9 and we have returned3 so far and 2 more have already started to break. The connection system is poorly designed and the case becomes extremely difficult to open after a few months. We definately have buyers remorse!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy. I am surprised by the reviews. Its true that the keyboard is pretty good operationally. But the casing is so bad your wasting your money if you buy this. I purchased mine less than a year ago, and have had to replace it 4 separate times now because the casing keeps breaking no matter how careful I am. So great., it works wonderful for a month or possibly two, but then the casing breaks. And when that happens I start worrying that I am going to damage the Ipad Pro itself. And once its damaged, you then have to deal with the hassle of getting them to send you a new one. True, I like the product a lot when its working, but I really don't understand why the company doesn't fix the casing. I have been telling them to do so for about 7 months, but they don't seem to be listening. If they simply solidified the case that goes around the ipad pro body it would be a great product all around. But replacing it every 2 months makes it almost worthless. And believe me, I am not treating it roughly. Let me add that my friend also bought one about 2 months after I did, and he has replaced his 3 times so far over the 6-7 months he has had his. We have tried to be more careful about how we open and close it (using the corners, etc.), but to no avail. Just be warned if you buy.
