The line-interactive AVR900U UPS system with AVR protection provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The 12-outlet 120V battery backup is ideal protection for your home office, media center or commerce components, including computers, routers, printers, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, ATMs, security systems and digital signage equipment.
Backup support allows you to work through short power failures and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but the line-interactive UPS system should keep an energy-efficient desktop computer with small LCD monitor powered as long as 47 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the replaceable internal battery fully charged, so backup power will always be available.
Six 5-15R outlets provide battery backup, surge protection and voltage regulation for your computer, monitor and other crucial components. The other six 5-15R outlets provide surge suppression only for printers, speakers and other desktop equipment regarded as non-essential during a blackout. A high >96% line mode efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs.

I replaced a different company product because I needed a little extra backup power and I have used a bigger yet version for my home office space. The 900 va model was just what I needed to plug in my Comcast Box, My internal router and the TV. If I'm watching TV and the power goes off, I can turn the TV off
before losing the user info. It's the perfect solution for my needs

Working Great So Far
We received ours last week and have already had a couple of thunderstorms causing the power to flicker off. Tripp Lite has done its job of keeping the power on to our television, satellite and internet during those small outages. So far it is working great!

I would buy this product again!
I have UPS for most of our key electronics (even a small one on the cordless telephone base station!) I needed one for our big screen TV and associated devices. When there is a power loss, "blip" or the generator is running and hiccups, the cable box and TV reboot! I needed several powered up receptacles and this Tripp Lite unit seemed to have what we needed. It has handled power fluctuations several times and kept our devices powered. Looks like a real winner!

I would definitely buy Tripp Lite again.
This is a replacement for another Tripp Lite UPS. It was used on my network equipment. The previous Tripp Lite UPS survived a power surge following the hurricane. It was still functioning but smelled of electric burning. Surge took out our refrigerator, freezer, toaster oven, Kureig coffee maker and all the surge suppressors (8). The surge suppressors were replaced with Tripp Lite.

Excellent performance
I have used two of these for a number of years.
They have reliably provided backup power during somewhat frequent short term power outages. I believe these two units saved our computers and related equipment when we received a close lightning strike and the power surge was instantly controlled to our equipment. This is an excellent product.

I would recommend this for everyone who owns a TiVo/DVR
My TiVo, the company that invented the DVR used to reboot at times. The cause being windy days with power blips. Used to spilt my recordings. Now with the TrippLite battery backup this is no longer issue.

I use this product to filter the power and provide battery backup for my cable modem, wireless router, security cameras, and security system. I like the fact that it is a simple line-interactive UPS with battery backup. A USB cable is supplied to allows one to use the free UPS management software that can be downloaded if needed.

Works great.....but....needs software upgrade
I use this to back up my computer and two monitors. Works as described. The software that you can download to control the unit is archaic. Needs a complete upgrade and for that matter does not even recognize the unit. I would give it 5 stars if the software worked. Other than that.....great backup and AVR.

I like the size of the backup and the fact that it has 12 outlets. The device shut down less than a week after I purchased it, and the instructions didn't mention my problem. I had to unplug the unit and remove the 6-battery backed up devices from it. After 30 seconds, I plugged it in and reattached the 6-battery backed up devices. Everything worked fine after that; however, I'm very concerned that the unit shut down.

Great product Great customer service
I purchased this to replace an old, failing unit. The first unit arrived and did not work at all. A call to the customer service line and we were able to determine no power was passing through to the unit. Customer service already had my info, had registered my product, and a new was on the way. Things happen and at the end of the day everything runs great now. I also like that I can change the battery when this one wears out.

The Good, Bad and the Ugly !!
The hardware side of this product is great, Tripp-Lite has always been solid. BUT - the software side is a complete failure, I'm using the latest version of OS X, and the UPS backup will not communicate with my computer, I contacted technical support, they have noted that the latest OS X has blocked the software from functioning. So - I almost have some expensive bricks connected between the power source and my computer, hard drives, etc. It's been a month now with no status or updates to solve this problem !!!

Good UPS for the Price!
So far so good for this UPS. I bought it after my American Power UPS started behaving erratically (turning off and on randomly ... really annoying but I'd had it for about 8 years so it was fine). I have only had this unit for about 2 weeks but we already had 1 power failure (I live in the country) and it kept my pc and peripherals operating until it shut it down safely (I connected the UPS to the PC using the usb port.
We'll see how long the battery lasts before needing replacement but so far it appears to be a very good ups for the price.

I have recently purchased two of these, one attached to my PC, and the other one to network equipment and NASs. I partially tested the one on the PC, not letting it discharge to the point of shutting down the PC. I have not tested the other one.
Please contact me in about a year after I have experienced a few power failures.

This product was a snap to setup, didn't even have to connect the battery terminal leads. The best part is the 12 outlets available. Probably won't get an opportunity to test it under an actual power outage for many months but am hopeful for goo results.

Bought 2 and will buy again if I need another one.
Since I started working from home, I have had times where my power went out and my computers did not get shut down properly. I did extensive online research on UPS options and found that for the price, line-Interactive and AVR, this UPS had the most to offer. I liked it enough that I bought 2 of them since I have multiple computers and a switch.

Got the product on a Friday, the next day had a brief 30 minutes power outage. My fiber internet, my PC and 2 monitors are on plugged in to the backup and worked perfectly when I lost power.

I bought this ups to keep the modem/router and fiber converter and Airport wireless going for a while during a long period without power (such as an earthquake in California). I assume it works as I have not tested it without power. It seems really well made and durable. I am impressed with the overall quality. This unit is made in Vietnam. I assume this is better than China.

This UPS is important as it acts as the back up supply for my Comcast modem, Comcast cable box, Ooma VOIP device, Panasonic phones, Samsung TV, Vizio sound bar and Brother printer.
We live in an area where power interruption is an all too common occurrence. They're normally brief but a pain in the butt. It is so nice to be able to depend on a great UPS and this certainly is one.

More Than Electronics Protected
I have a lamp, a clock, three chargers and a small radio being protected by this unit. I live in Texas and we often have surges and outages where I reside. We have had four in the last two weeks and all that was plugged into this unit have survived and the clock, radio and lamp kept going until power was restored. The longest was 33 minutes. I'm going to purchase another very soon. Previous I had a CPower and it failed badly. Buy Tripp-Lite and rest with confidence without failure!

I'm overall Pleased with my Tripp Lite UPS unit.
I'm using this UPS unit to maintain power to my essential electronic equipment (i.e. computer, cable modem, home security system, etc) in my home office in the event of a short (i.e. < 1 hr) power outage.
I first tested it out by first charging it fully, attaching a remote electronic speaker (Alexa) + a 23 W CFL light to it, then cutting the external power to it. It kept both devices operating for nearly 75 mins before running out of power then.
I'm pleased with it so far now.
My only real complaint here is its use of a sealed lead-acid back up battery, which makes the unit rather heavy
and hard to move in a tight space.

I had to turn off the breaker for an extended time but did shutdown the PC since it draws the most and the time needed was above the limits of the UPS, but the other items remained online while the breaker was off. This unit replaced another brand that would drop everything in a split second and it was only a couple years old. So far, so good.

This is a great ups for any home computer! It is a great replacement for my previous ups. It has plenty of outlets and a really useful power management app.

AT 60 I decided to try digital painting. Ha, is Picasso can start at 60 so can I, I thought. This meant re-arranging some of my computers. As I was no longer using my server stand for anything more than a place to keep my TRS-80 Model 100 computers, the choice was clear. I had been able to acquire a Wacom Cintiq 21UX to use as my primary drawing display which put my Toshiba Portege as the backup/inking tablet. The investment required additional protection and I started looking. I knew Tripp-Lite from as far back as the 1980s and stopped looking at other brands. Never more than two computers on at a time and a USB KVM to keep only two monitors live, I selected the 900VA. My budget kind of helped in the decision too. The 900VA has been great. I am in Arizona and the power can flicker when the heat gets in excess of 100 all day/night. Not to worry, the line is smooth as silk for my computers and automatic shutdown is such a relief. Never a bother to setup, Tripp-Lite tower over the competition.

Silent and perfect for the job
During a power outage, I was stuck using the emergency release on my garage door. I added this unit, after calculating the power needs. I can now open and close my garage door 3-5 times when the power cuts out. It was easy to mount and I am very happy with the product. I also found that California has a recent law from July 2019 that all garage door openers are required to have a power backup, this was much cheaper than replacing my unit with one that has a battery backup!

Quiet
There is no beep when power shuts off for a short time. Only beeps when the battery gets low. When power turns back on the supply automatically starts back up. So much better than getting woke up in the middle of the night with beeping due to a power blink.

Very easy setup, not much more than a surge protector. Gives you ample time to power down devices, or a bridge for a whole house generator to kick on and take over.

Great Products from a Trusted Company!
I bought this to use with a media center (so TV, PC, audio, gaming equipment) and chose this model for its power support and outlet spacing. I mounted to the wall behind the unit to help with cable management as well. Take some painter's tape, mark your mounting holes on the back of the unit and then place tape on wall to make mounting easy (it's heavy so be sure to mount on studs). I will continue to purchase Tripp-Lite products as customer support can't be beat!
