How the Energy-Saving Feature Works:
Green Outlet™ technology saves up to $50 on annual energy bills by cutting power to designated energy-saving outlets when the master device (e.g. TV, computer) is turned off, preventing idle devices from wasting energy. Other outlets remain powered to support devices that operate continuously, such as DVRs, routers and broadband modems.
Provides uninterrupted transition to battery-derived AC output during brownouts and power failures with enough runtime to save and shutdown connected equipment without data loss. Nice UPS and great tech support
Nice simple unit and one of the very few that still has an RJ11 port. Protected my modem but the RJ11 port was dead. They replaced it with no argument.

This is a keeper
I really like that I can easily plug in devices with ease from the top instead of in the back of typical UPSs; UPSs are typically placed in out-of-the-way areas (behind desks, on floors, etc.)
I would've given a five-star review if it weren't for the software to download from Tripp Lite's site--better-written instructions would've surely been helpful.

The idea of keeping my appliances on for 30 min. is very good.. longer would be better
Spacing on pug outlets to allow more extra wide plugs is needed.

I have actually ordered one for every person in my department. We are a multimedia specialist office so we rely on the energy saving features and surge protection features on a daily basis. Quick, easy setup. Comes with USB cable so you can use the easy to use software that is a free download. Plenty of outlets With some having wide spacing for the big plugs. This device also has line conditioning which is a must have in Florida.

We're happy TRIPP LITE owners!
Since 1986 we've used a competitor's products, but they fail after a few years, and I don't mean just the battery pack… the entire unit goes pffft. So we switched! We've had one commercial power failure thus far, and the TRIPP LITE picked up the load while we were using the computer, modem, and Wi-Fi, instantly and silently without a flicker. Not until we looked at an (unprotected) clock did we realize there had been an outage. (The failure occurred during the day.) Thank you, TRIPP LITE! S.C., Tehachapi, CA
