The PV200CUSB 200W PowerVerter Ultra-Compact Car Inverter provides 200 watts of portable power for charging and operating multiple devices in your car, truck, boat or RV. It converts 12V DC power into standard 120V AC power to run a wide variety of electronics, such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, GPS units, game systems, portable TVs, DVD players and MP3 players, as well as low-power lights, camping accessories, battery rechargers for small battery-operated power tools and mobile office equipment. And for extra convenience, it fits snugly into your vehicle's cup holder to help prevent it from tipping over or sliding around during travel. The PV200CUSB features 2 AC outlets, a 2.1A USB port and a 1.0A USB port. Just plug the DC input jack with convenient 3-foot cord into the 12V cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle, press the on/off switch, and the unit is ready to operate. Easy-to-read illuminated switch lets you know the inverter is receiving power from the battery. To prevent you from running down your car battery, the PV200CUSB turns off automatically when the input voltage falls to 10V. Likewise, the unit will also shut down if it gets too hot (for instance, because your connected devices exceed 200 watts). A built-in ventilation fan keeps the interior cool during extended use. The durable plastic housing is engineered to withstand the rigors of road trips, campouts, business trips and family vacations. No maintenance is required.

Great design! Charges phone fast!
They thought of everything when they came up with this inverter. You can put it in you cup holder and charger your phone, your laptop or anything else that needs AC power. With the 2.1 A usb charger it charges your phone fast and you do not have to turn the power supply on. The only time you have to turn it on is when you need AC power. So that is nice.

Not what i expected
Few days after plugging unit in the unit started making noises and a few days after that i had to purchase a fuse and it didnt even blow. The unit just stopped working.

Too loud!
It's very loud when in use because of cooling fan. I have other inverters that are quiet. I bought this because of cup holder shape which is good. I wouldn't buy this again.

I like the product
I got this to power my Alienware laptop at the recommendation of the dell customer service. it works out very well with no problems. I expected it would get hot when used but we have not noticed it getting hot.

The Cooling fan is quite noisy sounds like radio static which is somewhat annoying but otherwise works great

Definitely worth a try
I must admit I was a bit skeptical. I needed plug-in power for a road trip to recharge my laptop. I did not want to have to stop someplace and find an outlet. I plugged in the PowerVerter and bam, I was in business. No problems. No issues. Just solutions. I love the thing. You will too.

Works but is a bit loud
At first I thought something was wrong with my car but laughed at myself when I realized it was the device. It has a fan in it to keep it cool I supposed, havent had one like that before so I was surprised by it. Works as designed, kept my laptop charged and going while I was working out of my car.

yes, i would buy it again.
We use this product vagabonding. It works very well. My only issue is that it smells like chemicals when we use it, you know, like that weird plasticy smell. I thought it would eventually go away like when one burns off the newness of an air fryer (yes that smell, but not as strong), but it doesn't. We crack a window or turn on the vent to make it less noticeable.
