Tripp Lite's Smart Pro Compact Rackmount Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) offers line interactive voltage regulation, network grade surge suppression and long lasting battery support for critical network hardware during blackouts and extended power failures. Larger internal batteries and higher rated wattage makes these systems ideal for network and telecom wiring closets and other limited-space installations. Runtime is expandable with optional BP48V48RT4U and BP48V24-2U reduced-depth external battery packs.
SMART1500CRMXL 2U rackmount 1500VA/1440 watt UPS offers battery-derived sine wave AC output during power failures and extreme voltage variations. Line interactive Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) provides two levels of voltage boost during brownouts and one level of voltage cut during overvoltage conditions to maintain regulated 120V nominal output over an input range of 83-145V. Includes NEMA 5-15P input plug and NEMA 5-15R output receptacles. Network management interfaces support simultaneous communications via USB port, DB9 serial port and optional SNMP/Web management accessory card slot. Optional SNMPWEBCARD offers remote management and control of the UPS via direct network connection. Additional ENVIROSENSE accessory, when used in conjunction with SNMPWEBCARD reports temperature, humidity and status of up to two directly connected contact closure sensors. HID-compliant USB interface enables full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows and Mac OS X. Supports detailed monitoring of equipment load levels, self-test data and utility power conditions via all 3 network interfaces at once. Great UPS! Horrible packaging
The UPS is awesome! However, we had to get it replaced 3 times because the original UPS unit was damaged in shipping, as well as the second and third shipment. The packaging that it comes in is not sufficient to protect such a large and heavy device. If we didn't have to go through multiple replacements, I would rate this 5 stars.

We are using 4 of these (2 per server rack). Not only do they work extremely well when we have a power outage, but the battery life is well beyond what it is rated.

Original unit went out, but got a quick replacement
The first unit died in less than a year, but they sent a new one fairly quickly. Hopefully this one holds up. No issues other than that.
