Product Reviews
TP-LINK AC1750 Wireless Dual Band Cable Modem Router - wireless router - ca is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some frustrating glitches and problems, otherwise okay I have been using this router/modem for 6 months so far. We use the wi-fi with anywhere from 2 devices to 8 devices connected at any given time. It does seem to handle the demand for the most part though there are times it seems slow even with only a few devices using it. It seemed great at first but I have since discovered some very frustrating things about it. The web-based management program has a lot of glitches. For one it will not open in Chrome. So I use Microsoft Edge to open it and even then it will sometimes freeze on me and has even locked me out completely where I then needed to reset the whole router to default back to the original password. I think the most frustrating thing with the web-based program is that I cannot use the parental controls. As soon as I set one time limitation the whole parental control function doesn't work and that device gets completely locked out from wi-fi all together and I cannot change anything without resetting the whole router again. So I am not able to use parental controls which was part of the reason I bought this to begin with. I would say overall I had higher hopes of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from top of the line Fast speeds does not drop connections I have 3 roku tvs, 2 laptops, 1 desktop, cellphones, kids ipads connected to it no problem. I have had a lot of routers this one blows them all away even the $300.00 + routers took a hammer to the old ones. Needs to have a firewall update so you can customize it better you want a modem router combo the less wires the faster the speeds.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Intermittent operation, weird quirks I purchased this router three months ago and initially it worked great. Starting a month ago I started experiencing intermittent drops. I am a retired telecom professional technician, and have a great deal of experience with internet service. I initially looked for such issues as ATM layer problems and other issues. But nothing could be seen. Twice this week, the router has completely failed on the 2.4ghz network (as it is today), and my directly wired PC can only ping the Comcast IP address but can't reach the gateway. However, I am currently writing this review by using my cell phone in Wi-Fi mode only (LTE disabled) logged on to the 5ghz network. Which is running fine. TP Link support appears to be only providing basic answers, not addressing the problem. Very frustrating. I will try to return router to store. I had high hopes for this model, given the good reviews and its initial flawless performance. But as other users have discovered, it's not reliable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works just like it's supposed too! The product works just like it's supposed too. It was easy to set up and works great. It was a little challenging to set the password but once we figured it out everything else was easy. We live in a 1400 square foot home and the quality was great throughout the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Modem - Easy to set up This TP-LINK Wireless Modem was very easy to set up, we immediately had 5 devices connected to it and the speed for all was great. I would buy this modem and recommend it to others. I was not aware of this modem before receiving it. Overall this is a great modem much better than the one that was provided to me by comcast/Xfinity. I really like the fact that I can set up guest networks.
