Product Reviews
TP-LINK RE450 - Wi-Fi range extender is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible...Will not stay connected. I purchased this device to extend my WiFi range and to have a file share desktop computer "hard wired" into the port on the side. And based off reviews and since I have other Tp-Link products that work great on my network, I purchased the AC1750. When working, it works great. I can share files from desktop with the rest of my network devices with awesome speed. But when it's not working it's terrible. I had issues from the very first day. The device would loose connection with my network and I had to constantly(multiple times during the day or even within the hour) power off and on the device to re-establish connection to the network. I included a screenshot to show how it looses connection after I restarted the device, look at the icmp_seq# and how fast it drops connection. Would never recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WDS? It is easy to setup, but the UI is over simplified that we are not sure are these things actually using WDS or simply universal mode. Obviously we want it to use WDS if we are using multiples of them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to set up and works very well If you follow the directions, this WiFi extender is a snap to get up and runnng. After I did the required setup, I moved it into the location where I was having problems. Voila! I had a strong, consistent signal and my reception problems disappeared. I would caution those who are less technically adept, be sure you know your username and password for your 2.4GHz and 5GHz existing wireless networks. Without that information, you'll be dead in the water and won't be able to complete the setup screen. That will sound obvious to those of you who are network gurus, but trust me, most people never change the router default password for wireless. I have only two issues with this otherwise fine piece of electronics. First, the shape of the unit requires that the plug below it, in a duplex outlet) have a small, unobtrusive plug. Otherwise, the bottom of the extender will hit the plug and you won't be able to plug it in. Second, there is no downloadable user manual. I like to throw away the original documentation and keep a PDF of the user manual for future use. If it's on my computer, it won't get lost, torn, etc.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from is terrible if i compare it to the re210 i have an re210, and old version, But that one works great if i compare it this one. this keeps dropping connections, the perfomance is worst than the re210 that supose to work at 450 mbps on ac mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Increase your WI-FI range and performance I had great WI-FI speed in my downstairs office where the router is located, but my son in his upstairs bedroom, farthest from the router, kept dropping the signal and the internet speed was much lower when playing video games. Thankfully, he is now quite happy; which makes me happy because I hate whining!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Look a little complicated I loved the look and it works but we had the hardest time installing and getting the software to work but I would reccoment to friends who are more internet savvy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faster more reliable WIFI signals. I have opted to test this product due to WiFI signal drops in my business , even in a small area no matter what router was purchased. WiFi would drop the further you were from the router. Within 10 minutes of very easy setup for the TP Link extender I noticed my WiFI was no longer dropping and getting full speed through out the office. WiFI is now working great on all our devices, from phones to laptops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really powerful and easy to set up! I never thought I would need wifi in the yard. But now that I have it, it's awesome! I can stream music while we BBQ or while sunbathing. This range extender makes the wifi signal that strong. And the best part was that it wasn't hard to set up! I have trouble with setting up anything technical - when we have cable problems, I just go read a book and hope it resolves itself. I'm definitely not a problem-solver. I was honestly expecting my boyfriend to have to set this up for me. But this little gadget was super simple, and it exceeded my expectations. It's really worth it. We have full signal strength in every room, and it doesn't affect the speed at all.
