Connecting to a host computer through USB 3.0 with no external power required, this enclosure supports full SuperSpeed USB data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps - 10x faster than the USB 2.0 standard, and is backward compatible with older USB connections (USB 2.0). worked well for 4 years
I have used this enclosure with a backup drive for my laptop.
After 12 uses the socket for the usb chord has come loose and the unit is unusable.

Great Product
I have two of these enclosures. I tend to switch laptop hard drives a lot and these are invaluable for cloning and archiving purposes.

Worked Good for 3 Yrs and then...
Drive started disconnecting from USB port on laptop on its own?? Not physically, but the connection would terminate inside USB Drive? I started with using a different Micro B Cord, but the same thing happened. So, I ordered a different brand USB enclosure and now it works fine. Now, I see that it was the faulty circuit board in the enclosure that was going bad. Will not order this brand again.
