Know your gear

Share a standard USB printer with multiple users over an Ethernet network. This palm-sized print server makes it easy to share a USB printer with users on your network. It's the ideal solution for home or small office networks.

Enjoy cost-efficient network printing for multiple users. The USB 10/100 Mbps print server lets you share one USB printer with multiple users on your network, instead of having to buy separate printers for each individual workstation.

With web-based management, you can set up and monitor the printer server through a web browser, so you can place your printer at any convenient shared location - there's no need to put your printer next to your computer. You can send print jobs to another user in your home or office, or even to a printer in another country.

Compact and lightweight, the print server is easy to install with its straightforward installation wizards and remote web-based management. You simply use a USB cable to connect the print server to your printer's USB port, then use an RJ45 networking cable to connect it to the rest of your network.

The printer server supports the Line Printer Remote (LPR) protocol which enables Internet printing. It also supports Bonjour Print Services, making it easier to find and configure printers on your network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Default Gateway Option I cannot believe I'm saying this in 2021. You can only specify the IP and Subnet, the device does not support in anyway a Default Gateway. So if you are planning to use this across multiple networks or like in my case over a VPN. It will NOT work. I confirmed this was not fixed in the latest firmware either. This product should not be purchased by anyone since it does not have proper network configuration and will strand you at some point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally got it to work reliably!! After about a year of on and off tinkering I *finally* believe I've found a way to keep this unit from spontaneously disconnecting. Summary: 1. Update the firmware via the USB server program included with the firmware download. 2. Configure the print server with a static IP followed by restarting the printer server. 3. Follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding setting up your printer. It's been up for days and working perfectly. It was a long and winding road, but it works!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Network LPR Print Server I bought it and am using it to share a label printer at a company. The settings are a bit loose, but I've been using it for 5 months without any problems, I like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a bad product. If you want to get this device to work without dropping add a reserved address for it in your router or print server

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Constantly Drops off LAN I bought this product to enable the office to share a USB Dymo label printer. I constantly have to reboot it for it to work even though I have bind MAC-IP on the router. Please update the firmware so this stop causing us issues. Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same Problem as Jacky dropping off the network Bought this and set it up, it works for a few and then drops off of the network .. cannot ping it nor can I browse the server ... tried to set it to a static address and with dhcp and the same thing happens. Only solution is to disconnect the power and reconnect it. I had the same thing happen with two different adapters. had to remove them from the network and find another solution. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mostly useless I have found the same problems with the device. Stays online for anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes, and then all network connections stop working. Light still flashes, but has to be rebooted. The device is supposed to make printing easy to use... Having to explain to them that "before you can print you have to restart this device every time" is really unacceptable. I contacted support and their method to get me to test was to "Would it be possible if you can test the PM1115U2 on a test PC and have the print server connected directly to the PC’s Ethernet port without a network" I'm not sure what this would achieve. This is not how computers work. Unless I use a crossover cable; or do some other such messing around, this wouldn't allow me to print

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine Set up a small number of users to an old Brother printer on this and had no issues, Miles better than using one of the PCs as a print server.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works, but... I had to tinker with this a little bit to get it to work because I am using Windows 10 and I believe the drivers on the cd included are for earlier versions of Windows. This caused me to have to go to this website to download the print server software. My complaint with this product is that the router I use does not acknowledge that it loaned out the dhcp address that the print server has and I can ping for the print server. This could be really difficult to troubleshoot if the dhcp server randomly assigns the dhcp print servers dhcp address to something else. I didnt actually look to see if this was fixed in a firmware version though.
