The Silver Peak VRX-8 now supports up to 256,000 simultaneous user sessions and runs on most common hypervisor platforms. The VRX-8 supports 1 Gbps of WAN throughput, twenty times more than any other virtual WAN optimization product, and is the first and only virtual WAN optimization solution designed for all data center initiatives - from replication between data centers to centralized file services for hundreds of remote locations.
The Silver Peak VRX-8 appliance is based on the Silver Peak Virtual Acceleration Open Architecture (VXOA) that powers the entire portfolio of NX, VX, and VRX products. Silver Peak VXOA facilitates the most convenient, flexible, and low-cost options for deploying WAN optimization on a wide variety of industry standard hardware platforms and hypervisors. Silver Peak offers the industry's widest portfolio of physical and virtual appliances, ranging from Megabits-per-second (Mbps) to multi-Gigabits-per-second (Gbps) in WAN capacity.
The VRX-8 allows enterprise customers to optimize not only data center-to-data center replication for disaster recovery and business continuity, but also optimize branch office fan-in to data centers, application centralization, virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI), and cloud computing.
