Nice little drive. Easy to use. Small enough to fit in my hand. Great for computer backups and many other things. A lot more convenient than my old WD or Seagate backup drives. I may even purchase another one for photo projects. Very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this device from Amazon back in October 2023, and it works great with my Windows 10 machine as well as my Linux Mint 20.3 machine. On the Linux machine, the 5.4 kernel immediately recognized it and worked great. I use this as another backup storage drive.

Absolute scam
The T7 is perfectly fine. However, I purchased two T7 2 TB SSDs (MU-PC2T0T/AM) in July, based on the promo running on Samsung's website for 2 months of Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan. I registered as required, and awaited promo codes that never appeared. Samsung support cannot assist, and they transfer me to other chat channels three or four times until I end up on a blank screen. There is no way to create a support ticket or other record of the issue with them for tracking or follow-up. The support pages suggests you can email them, but this does not appear to be true. Most options loop you back in a circle to the support main page, which is barely functional. I didn't expect much, but this beat my already low expectations.

Amazing And Excellent Portable Hard Drive!
I purchased this Samsung Portable SSS T7 external hard drive to get rid of all my flash drives ( over 20 at various storage sizes ) I was able to easily place, view, remove and edit all the files placed on the flash drive on all the main computers and tablets ( windows, android and IOS ) I use. I would highly recommend this product to someone needing a portable storage unit that is economically priced and easy to use.

i love samsungs internal ssd drives, and i was looking forward to using this. however, the software turned out to be buggy and very unreliable. i setup the drive and set a password. i saved the password, logged out and then back in without issue. i then safely ejected the drive via windows. when i went to use it next, samsungs software refused to accept the password.

I don't know a ton about this stuff but here's a perfect example of the performance: On steam, it took 45 mins to allocate space on this ssd for Dead Space Remake, and Hogwarts Legacy. On my basic WD HDD, it happened so quickly I almost thought it didn't.
I dunno if this drive is defective but.....I will probably never buy a Samsung drive, again. First impressions are everything.... I mean, yall used to make good CRT tvs hahaha

This product is the worse SSD in the market. It last about three weeks then it starts to over heat. It begins to crash programs that are on the drive also don’t try to back up anything over 75gbs you will get transfer interruption please try again while it’s half way through.

I’ve had this SSD for a little over a year now and it’s fantastic. It’s fast and reliable. I use it with an Xbox series X and it’s worked flawlessly since day 1. While I don’t travel with it, it’s small and compact enough that I can imagine it’s easy to bring along whenever. Very happy!

Samsung HHD absolutely the best!
I recently purchased two (2) SSD 2 gb drives. One was a Samsung and the other was a SanDisk.
The SanDisk drive was definitely not "plug & play". I had numerous problems with getting it to work. Plus every time I went to use it, I was forced to an extremely timely login procedure to gain access to it.
The Samsung performed flawlessly and I had none of the issues, like I had with the SanDisk

I got this w/ a discount. So it's very affordable. It's very compact-small think and light. Data transfer rate is good as well. Data is Safe: password protected.
I use this to back up my phone, and tablet files. Back up to my backup. Especially most phones don't have external storage in them anymore. I have an 8TB storage but its huge andbuly and requires to be plugged in. This one i can carry with me everyday. You can set it up so i will promt for a password to access your files. Very happy i got this.

Great hardware but poor software
Would love to give this SSD five stars for its great design and speed. But that must be averaged with a one star rating for the software side of things. The Samsung software in/with the unit seems a buggy bunch of bloatware and I finally just had to delete all of it and just format the drive directly from the macOS operating system.

I love this drive. It's compact size and blazing fast transfer speeds are essential for my travel needs. I do photography and videos. Having reliable and fast storage is a must. The 2Tb drive gives me more than enough storage for a week or more of shooting, until I can offload it to my desktop. I can easily edit my images and videos from this drive without any issues.

A reliable SSD that works well for gaming
While it was a bit tricky to set up at first and making it stay connected to the computer after putting it in sleep mode, this thing has reliably played VR games and high resolution games with little to no hiccups. If I had another USB-C port, I would have definitely ordered another one to further increase my available space, freeing up my D drive.

This is the 4th Samsung T7 - 2TB external USB SSD drive and like all the others, it performs like a beast. GREAT storage space, great speed and superb read/write capacity. It's the very reason I bought this one which became the 4th one of these I have - AND they all perform on occasion, simultaneously attached to the computer. Reliable, powerful, and dependable. Came highly recommended from the first one to the 4th. Can't beat Samsung products in my humble opinion.

This was a replacement purchase before my old drive (non-Samsung) completely crashed on me. I love the convenient size; not bulky. The download speed is awesome. A little pricey but I got in on a decent sale to try it out and I'm glad I did. Very sleek look. Made me realize I need to step up my laptop game to match its performance and connections. I originally was using with my older laptop and it did not support USB 3.2 so I was not seeing the potential until my updated laptop arrived and the combo is unstoppable. I'm weary of some of the reviews complaining about the performance and it not working properly after awhile if at all. So far it has been a great experience for me and I would recommend. You might not be as pleased with performance if using an older laptop that does not have any USB-C ports, but it will still get the job done with an older USD connection to USB-C cable; just a tad slower when importing/exporting.

The product is made of quality material and is well designed. The only issue is not designing the software to be more user friendly/intergration friendly requiring Mac users to have to change setting s on macs for SSD to work correctly.

Fast transfer and small profile
So far I've had no issues. Stores all my backup/important files. It's relatively small and easy to store. The device downloads files pretty quickly and comes with a way to password protect/encrypt your stored files. Not a bad choice for a storage drive.
