Rated 5 out of 5 by from Close to perfect, but confused.I can't stress enough how valuable the SPen is for on the go productivity and browsing. Quite simply this machine is reliable, great battery life, helpful and to be honest comfortable to work with.My only real complaint is how dumbed down the SNote went from my Note 5 to this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LCD Out 2 months after warrantyI've always thought of Samsung as a quality product until just 2 months after the 1 year warrant the tablet is useless. I mainly use it as a larger version of a phone (social media, e-mail, movies, tv, app games, weather, etc.). 2 months after the year warranty was up the system crashed and the screen never came back on. A certified Samsung repair center said either the mother board or the LCD screen was gone and the cost to repair would exceed purchasing a new one. Since you can still hear notifications I figured that it wasn't the motherboard but the LCD Screen that had gone out. Samsung indicated that it's past the warranty and they could recommend a certified repair center (after I told them I had already been to one). Since we have lots of Samsung products I was surprised that this one (newest item) just lasted over a year compared to the others that have lasted for several years. I'm not one that buys things on a yearly basis and buy things because they will last a few years and don't have the means to replace things like this every year. I'm now left wondering if I should abandon Samsung products and switch to Apple. I had a company Apple iPad years ago that had been dropped, screen that was badly damaged (screen protector bought later that was keeping the screen from falling out) that lasted for years in that condition. As much as I'm not a fan of Apple at least their products are made to last. The latest update also no longer allows users to remove the balloon around the icons which looks ridiculous. Apps also need to be able to be used on the SD card since space can run out quickly just for the apps alone. Apps should be able to be put on an SD card to allow more use of the tablet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S pen makes this a tablet I will actually use!If you are looking for a tablet with a stylus that is Android based, this is the best choice from Samsung. It has a nice display, but after owning a Note 7, I would have appreciated a higher resolution screen and faster processor. I would have purchased their top of the line tablet, but Windows was a deal breaker. The display and overall size is a bit too big for carrying around at work, which is unfortunate because after using the Note 5 then 7, using a stylus on the go was a luxury for sketching and note taking.Sadly, this will not replace paper and pen, but alongside the Note 7, it would have. It will at my desk, but it's not going to be a mobile device i walk around or keep with me. I do recommend the tablet, wish it was eight inches with a faster processor and higher resolution display.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this device...I really love this device, but I would love it more if I could have gotten it with 32 GB of internal storage instead of 16 GB. I am finding that I am needing to delete apps in order to install others. I have plenty of external space available (200 GB), but there are a lot of apps that won't run on external storage still. Aside from that, I really like how responsive it is, how long the batter lasts and the ease of use. I have been a "Note" person for a long time and a Samsung person even longer. That isn't to say that I haven't used/owned/tried other devices, I have. I just happen to like Samsung Note's best overall. I like the convenience of the built in stylus and the extra things you can do with it. Overall this is a great device and I am not sorry that I bought it and would even recommend it. I would just caution folks to be aware of the storage limitation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs more internal memoryThe s pen is a fantastic productivity tool and the tablet is pretty good overall. I use it heavily for taking notes at work. The main issue with this tablet is lack of internal storage. 16GB is not enough in 2017...with 6 or 7GB taken up by the system and preinstalled apps. The advertising claims that you can expand the storage with an SD card, but the reality is that many apps these days require that they be installed on internal storage. For example amazon prime video. If you want to download videos to watch offline, these cannot be saved to external storage. I had to load a patch developed by a user at XDA that enabled adoptable storage (Samsung has apparently disabled this android feature) to try to use the external card more. But found that many apps still required that they be installed on the limited internal storage even after this patch. So if you just want to load a few apps and feverishly track where each app is being installed and how much storage each takes up to make sure you protect the miniscule internal storage (what I'm doing now), this will work for you. Otherwise potentially hold out until Samsung comes out with one with more internal memory or comes up with a way to actually allow you to use the external storage card more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Poor Decision by Samsung!!Nice product, BUT: This Tab A with S pen only has less than 10 available gig of space after the included software (which can not be removed). This feature in 6.0 is a must. But it is disabled by Samsung and can't be activated. So what you are left with is a decent tablet that can only have a few apps -Shared memory is not available. That is a POOR DECISION by Samsung!! I would think they have enough problems with their product reputation.
