Rated 3 out of 5 by from High Failure Rate We have about ten of these around our company. We have replaced four in the last 14 months with an average usage of 3500 calls per month system wide. They work as advertised, are very easy to set up, and are very affordable. The design, probably more on the side of ShoreTel than anything, needs improvement. All it seems to be is a little mic that you stick on to the speaker of the phone. It gives a beep in the ear of the headset when the mic picks up your phone's ring. The tape does not hold well for more than a month and then just dangles there, getting in the way of your handset if you ever decide to use it instead of the headset. ShoreTel needs to develop an external jack or a programming feature to ring in the ear. Preferably the programming feature considering it is a checkbox in the Director software to enable the headset. Overall it is an average product that does what it is supposed to for a medium period of time. For the price I would still recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ideal solution The RD-1 attachment immediately addressed an issue we had in the office of being able use our wireless headsets effectively while doing other things in the office. We had been turning up ringers so you could step away from your desk and still hear the ring. Within minutes of installing the easy to use attachment, ringer volumes are down and the ability to leave your immediate work area restored. It helped us avoid the expense of retooling our phones!
