The Piper Gateway gives enterprise customers a real-time view of all Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) activity in their environment to help track and identify assets. Whenever live data collection is a requirement, the Piper Gateway is a secure and reliable service that connects via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or LTE. The device detects nearby BLE activity & converts it to a useful protocol that can be quickly monitored & mapped.
The Piper Gateway is a small, adaptable device with dual band 802.11 connectivity and a customizable BLE module for sensing & reporting ambient Bluetooth activity in real time. BLE advertisement data is encrypted and sent to the Piper Server as soon as it is detected. There it can be analyzed and mapped according to enterprise requirements. Unlike other sensor hardware that simply detects presence, the Piper Gateway is adaptable to custom advertisements - perfect for capturing live data from accelerometers, magnetometers, & environmental sensing modules. This enables the collection of data from moving BLE devices and goes beyond static recognition of devices that broadcast only UUID & Major/Minor values.
