Opti-Core LC patch cords with mSFP duplex clip and the strain relief boot provides customers deploying Brocade's high-density, 64-port Fiber Channel blades, FC8-64, with the same high-quality factory-attached LC connector. These patch cords are used in Storage Area Networks (SAN) inside the data center on Brocade's 64-port, 8 Gb/s Fiber Channel blade for the DCX switch frame. The 5.25mm center line LC duplex clip enables mating to the mSFP form factor transceiver.
The LC connector contains the patented rear-pivot latch on a reduced center line pitch that is made to connect to the mSFP transceiver. Rear pivot LC latch prevents connector bundles from "fish hooking" other connectors, offers ease of installation and extends the life of the LC connector latch and the longevity of the connector. The Opti-Core LC Patch Cords with mSFP will complement the QuickNet Fiber Optic Cabling System and will extend the reach of Panduit's LC connector line to this high-density application.
