This does the job, and I haven't noticed any difference in internet quality. On the other hand, I wish we had just bought a computer that had wireless built in in the first place, since apparently most recent hp desktop computers do.

Rated 5 out of 5 bybarryf from Horrible product and horrible companyI purchased this item in March 2012 and now, 3 months later, it drops my wifi signal and will not reconnect. Nothing has changed with my computer setup or wifi connection and my 2 other laptops find my wifi signal just fine.I called Netgear to get support from them to have the problem resolved and they wanted me to pay them for support. Can you believe that after 90 days, this company will not provide me support for their product at no cost?If you know what's good for you, you will steer clear of this item and anything else Netgear makes.
