Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic extender Been using this extender for over 1 year and have not had any problems with it. Have multiple devices connected to it at the same time with no issues. It needs to be plugged straight into a stand alone power point on its own and NOT into a multi extension power board or double adapter. Firmware easy to use and simple. Also, the 'Wireless Output Power' which allows you to adjust the output and range of your extender WiFi coverage on mine I think was set on 75% by default, you can change this to 100%. Overall, very satisfied with this product.

I purchased this for another person and simply want to preconfigure it. Netgear has gone too far with their data collection. I found a couple ways people were able to bypass the information collection form and simply configure their devices but it seems these have been patched in the firmware. It really goes to show what are Netgear's priorities and it's not good function or security. I'm an IT professional and would always recommend Netgear products to people for home use but that stops today. I am disgusted with their business practices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weak Doesn't extend my wifi more than 30 feet. And and who wants a big red warning light glow when a device is not connected. Separate SSIDs might be part of using wifi extenders but I find it unacceptable. Tried using the same SSIDs but my iPhone wouldn't let go of the weaker signal unless I got completely out of range... and in the direction of the stronger signal else it would reconnect to the weaker signal on the way. I refuse to manually select networks as I go from one end of the house to the other. Mesh wifi is toooo expensive.

Beyond 20 ft, yje device link led fluctuates between green and red even though the hard-wired desktop continues to have internet connection. I have to leave the desktop on mostly otherwise, it takes 2 to 4 minutes to have the internet connection.

I have been using this product for about six months with great results. Last month it stopped working so I had to update firmware and re-register. Since then it has not worked very well. I am researching to find out if I need a new extender or what else may be wrong. I do expect more than 6 months use of a product.

However, did not solve my buffering problems using Roku even though the N300 is only a few feet from the Roku device. So, with or without the extender, I get about the same service. Not sure how to evaluate the value.

I started without the extender and was very aggravated as games would freeze or not come in at all. My streaming device would lost connection all the time. Since installing the NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700) my streaming device has not lost connection and I have not missed a minute of any game! This is an awesome device that is super easy to install that I would highly recommend!

I have it closer to my bedroom, so when everyone in the house is using the main router and my mbps starts fluctuating, I just connect to the extender and I have steady signal quality no problem. It also gives me great range in the backyard and behind our property out on the walking trail. If your signal drops when you go to a different part of the house, definitely get one of these for steady, strong coverage.

It works okay, but we have to move it around to find the best signal and leave doors open. We only have a few more weeks of the season this year, but may have to purchase a stronger one before next year.

The instructions told us to change some settings for our router but we never did find the section it told us to go to. To get the extender set up, we only had to go to the website and were able to get things going. We mainly bought this extender because our son likes to have music as he falls asleep and his tablet was not getting strong enough wifi when he moved into his own room. Now with the extender he has full bars and everything on the far end of the house has full wifi.

This extender now makes it so that I have WiFi and it works great. I was finally also able to get an Ethernet cord for my PC since the WiFi extender has an Ethernet port. I have purchased NETGEAR products in the past and they have all exceeded my expectations, The N-300 is another example of a well functioning product that is well priced and performs like those devices two or more times the price. I sell a temperature sensor that uses the client’s WiFi to connect to the Internet and the EX2700 covers the dead spots so my devices can connect. Without it, I can’t service the clients. Thank you.

Before our bedrooms were to far away from our modem to even get on the network. We now have a full signal in everyone of our bedrooms. Setup was very easy and with the ease of plugging the extender into a regular electrical outlet there are no wires to run and it isn't huge or unattractive. I am very happy with this NetGear Extender.

I can even get a decent signal out in the backyard to do some work while I enjoy the nice weather. The instruction manual was clear and I appreciated that it offered a lot of options of how to set it up plus extensive troubleshooting. I am not particularly tech savvy and still got it done within about 30 minutes (with a little help from a paper clip to factory reset). Only reason I knocked off a star is because I had a very difficult time accessing the new account page to create a login; the link in the instruction manual kept rerouting me to the wrong page.

The WiFi router wasn’t right in the gaming room and when my boyfriend and I both tried to play wow together it was very laggy especially if we were trying to run Netflix or the video baby monitor at the same time. This extender helped the situation and we can run multiple devices in the game room with ease.

My router is in the basement and I’ve always had a weak signal on the first floor and hardly any signal on the second floor. Now I have a strong signal on the first and second floor and it’s made a big difference. It makes browsing so much easier, which could be a good thing or a bad thing.

I can see the extender on the computer wi-fi list but is unsecured. Looking in the netgear support pages or general search for help did not offer a solution. I’m still working on a solution. What’s taken hours if my time should have been a 15 minute task.

The EX2700 stopped working the next day. It will not connect to my modem. I managed to recover my system from the crash and I am back on line. Not impressed with your product.

I live in a 4 story split level condo. My main floor is where my router is. I have a master suite above and two levels below that level. On occasion, I will have interrupted service on my fire stick in my master bedroom. Getting service in my basement is near impossible. I put this extender on the level directly below my main floor and all my problems were solved. The basement finally has WiFi, and My fire stick actually gets better service on this device than I do with my Xfinity supplied router which is closer.

To say that I am impressed would be an understatement. Now, I have strong access in a room that we did not utilize as much, and it has been a tremendous benefit during home quarantine. Extremely pleased with this product, and you cannot beat the price.

I had to go into an incognito browser in order for set to be completed. Which isnt a big deal, but I didnt think about it until the 2nd day. Once set up, it has worked great.

Due to several walls between it and our router, it was borderline on signal strength. The extender was easy to set up and connect to our network and supplied a much stronger signal to the doorbell, as hoped. I plan to purchase another extender to use in the other end of our home. I may seek a dual band (2.4 and 5) next time, since a 4k TV will use it, but for the doorbell and other devices, this one works great!

However, I have it plugged in in my garage and when the garage door is closed, it drastically reduces the range which is to be expected. My only problem with it is that sometimes it doesn’t stay connected to my network and I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. Other than that, I am completely satisfied with it.

This extender goes well beyond that past my property line with a full 4 bar WiFi. In my 3 bed room ranch I would have issues for a weak WiFi signal. This EX2700 extender cleared that all up. The signal is tenuous for our smart TV, and the smart scale in the master bath couldn't connect at all. Plugged the range extender in an outlet near the center of the house and now have a great signal everywhere. The easy set up didn't work with my ARRIS router, but just followed the instructions in the manual and was quickly online. As others have noted, a firmware update was needed to achieve the best performance. All in all, a great product at an excellent price, which solved all my wireless networking problems.

Connecting was quite easy. mine didn't work with the easy push of a button way but even with the Harder way it wasn't difficult.

But we recently turned our basement into an extra office and our wifi just wasn't cutting it so I figured for $25 we'd try it, and wow I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to set up and works like it says it does. I'm even considering getting another to boost the wifi in our 3rd floor.

I have two of these set up and they fixed the problem completely. I like that you can plug in an ethernet cable and use it that way on top of it boosting the wifi signal. I even play video games and stream things at 1080p quality with it.

I needed to be able to hardwire a phone in my office and this was the perfect answer! It was so simple to setup with WPS and the configuration page was just as perfect. Good range and speed too.

My roommate is in the first bedroom (closest to the living room) and her wifi connection to her tv and all devices work amazing. My tv in the second bedroom could never connect to the wifi and I had no idea why. I then got this device (I.e wifi extender) and plugged it into the hallway outlet and now my tv works amazing!!

The unique floor plan of my home means my bedroom is far from the router and i often get lag or buffering trying to stream a movie or show. Often times even get "unable to connect" errors. It was cheap and I've had good experience using netgear products before. This little bad boy works as advertised. It fixed the coverage problem from the wifi router in the house to the area where my wife uses her personal computer and does her gaming. The area is separated by a couple of walls and about 50 feets from the wifi router. The range extender made up for the gaps in coverage and we now have reliable, fast internet throughout the house (and even into the garage.

However getting it setup was complicated and had to do five hard resets to get it to finally work. It really doesn’t prefer hidden networks which annoyed me, and almost caused me to give up and demand a refund. But If you can get through the headaches of the setup, and get it working right, you’ll be happy.

Extending the wireless signal of our home broadband router into the furthest reaches of our house could have been an expensive and far more extensive affair had I chosen to go for a full router replacement, but with the EX2700 it took less than 15 minutes to accomplish my goals and it cost less than a quarter of the alternative. I've even purchased a second device for my in-laws, and would heartily recommend this product to anyone who wants to extend their WiFi coverage in a cost-effective way.

This little extender is perfect for those looking for an easy configuration and setup for your home network as well d quick fixes for extending small business wireless without a big investment. The WPA button that talks to today's internet routers makes it easy for the beginner. I am used to logging in via webinterfaces so preferred to wire up to the extender and login that way to setup the SSID and create a separate network login. The web interface was intuitive and simple. I recommend this little accesspoint to anyone. Its affordable and less complicated than configuring a separate router to be an access point.

Tech support spoke very bad English and was not knowledgeable. I finally hung up and did a factory reset and was able to do it myself. I will rethink purchasing from wearhouse next time. Very disappointed with this experience.

The picture on my roku had been spotty and just unpleasant to watch because it loaded all the time lately..plugged the extender in..in the same room as the roku and instantly the picture quality was 100%..haven't had any trouble since..I just move it from room to room..wherever WiFi will be used. The metal beams, partial buildouts and cinderblock walls have complicated wireless signal in the back but the N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700 has pushed signal through the warehouse where other products have failed to reach. Excellent product, easy set-up. The boss is happy so I'm happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works good with my Blu-Ray player I ordered a NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700) from Amazon so my Blu-Ray player has internet access and I must say that I'm very pleased with my purchase.The N300 WiFi Range Extender is a great product that's so simple to setup and use. Just plug the device into any wall outlet, plug any Ethernet cable into the device then plug into your laptop or Ethernet-enabled desktop computer, setup the device from your internet browser to connect it to your router before plugging it into your TV or Blu-Ray player and the N300 does all the rest. In other words, this devices one-time setup and forget it makes it super easy.So far I haven't experienced any problems with the N300 and I highly recommend this product to anyone needing to extend their Wi-Fi signal or provide internet access to a TV or Blu-Ray player like I did.

This was fairly easy to set up and, other than a few signal drops that may or may not have been caused by poor placement on my part (still investigating), it has proven to be quite reliable.

This was my last attempt at salvaging the situation - and wow! The NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range extender was simple to set up (I'm not very tech savvy) and in no time I was connected in every room in my house! No longer kicked off wifi just by moving to the other side of the living room! I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

The wireless coverage is VERY good (much better than my CCTV repeaters). I bought two more after I tried out the first one. It is 802.11n which will fit my need for many years before newer 801.11a? The size is perfect in many application. I recommend it because it comes as one piece; the power adapter and the repeater are integrated into one piece. The status indicator is well designed.

The cost was so minimal in comparison to losing those videos chats and special times due to no signal. I installed it myself, so that explains the ease of set up following the installation instructions enclosed. Now I not only receive my WFi signal through-out our home, but I can enjoy those video chats while thanking my grandson for recommending my Net Gear Extender!

Before I had the extender it was really bad going over WiFi because the router was downstairs and I was upstairs and the signal was no good and I'm so glad I got it. It also was not expensive at all!

No more frustration when the signal drops going into certain rooms. It even extends to our front porch now, which has been great for sitting outside to work on things! What I expected was a signal to cover an area 3 rooms away from where I placed it. What I got was coverage 6 rooms away. Twice the distance expected. We've ordered another one to extend range in another area of our building. I initially set up the first with a different SID so I could see the difference in signal strength. What I intend to do, if possible, is to use it as an access point (same wifi name, same password). I don't like having to change wifi networks due to a lost signal, plus, waiting for a changeover in wifi networks.

It needed to be situated in the crawl space just where the water main enters the house and requires a WiFi connection to function. Our WiFi didn't reach there, so I suggested an extender. The Netgear N300 was a piece of cake to set up, and works like a charm, with the added advantage of improving the WiFi situation in our bedroom. Don't suffer with spotty WiFi, this device is worth every penny.

You have to go online to find the instructions. If you change your Wi-Fi password you have to start all over again which could be a bit daunting as well. After buying a N300, I'm happy to say streaming video is perfectly clear at all times. Using it to boost my Wi-Fi signal, while also using an Ethernet cable makes all the difference. I highly recommend this extender for your networking needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent product Purchasing this range extender was primarily for my sister since the main router does not reach to the other side of the house, i set up the range extender, simple setup, and i was quite surprised on how much bandwidth i was getting out of it. The idea of it is great, but through our router we get about 150 mbps, through the extender about 20 give or take. If you are looking for it to be able to use wifi without having high speeds then this is a great product. If you want speed, look into other products, otherwise this gets the job done.

Since my modem wouldn't pick up the signal, I needed a wi-fi extender and the Netgear extender fit the bill perfectly. I can now keep track of what my panels are producing and what my electric bills are going to be each month.

With my router location I was unable to run a hard line from it. But not only does it give me “WiFi” to my controller but now I have WiFi in my barn(about 60ft from my house. I love this extender and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for extending their WiFi and/or needing an extra hard wire port.

After a short setup (maybe 5 min), the extender was all set up and has been working flawlessly. My download speed in my room went from about 3-7 mbps to 40-45 mbps! It is working perfectly and as advertised. I tried to stream in the same place prior and the connection failed. Now, its as fast as if you were right beside the router.

(1) a static IP (pick something that is in the same network as your main wireless router but not in the DHCP list) (2) proper subnet 255.255.255.0 (3) gateway IP address (use the main IP of your router for this) (4) DNS -- 8.8.8.8 works.

After a couple of days it arrived and I was stoked to experiment with it and see if it actually helps my WiFi speed. Well what do you know. It did! And it was super easy to setup and work with. I added the N300 to an outlet on the second floor, and now the 3rd floor gets FULL SIGNAL all the time ! This is some of the best $ I’ve spent in a while. I wish I had done this years ago.

I could not get a good wifi connection in my bedroom (wifi box was in a back office), but when I connected this extender, my wifi in my room has been working great. The cost is also good for the work it does.

Glad I did, because the range extender works great. My router is upstairs, and with the range extender plugged in downstairs, I've got a strong connection in every room. If connecting via the wsp connector doesn't work for you, try setting up using a USB cable direct from the router to the extender. The online instructions aren't very clear, but persevere and it will work. I'm happy enough with the range extender that I bought one to install in a friend's home.

My main router is an old (but good) Netgear WNDR2700 and extending its range with just one N300 to the back room of my house now provides a strong signal to the entire property, even the back garden! Several people told me I needed to buy a new router. I decided to give this a try first since it was much cheaper than a new router. One half of our house was basically a dead zone, and now with the extender it's just as fast as the rest of the house. The rest of the house gets wifi. This allowed me to get a better signal in my living room for my tv that streams a lot of content. I used to get buffering, dropped signals and bad quality video. Used this plus an ethernet cable for my Xbox One and now everything streams great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Saver for Internet Connection The N300 extender is great! It doesn't take up a lot of space and is relatively easy to set up. All I had to do was follow the instructions and find an outlet midway from my dead space and router. Right after that, I was able to connect and have much better connection.

The range of my wifi now reaches into my shop that is easily 100 ft away from my router and passes through my 100 year old plaster walls. I would highly recommend buying this not only for the good price but also for its convenant setup and use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as Advertised Maybe actually even better than advertised. Very easy to setup. Extends my wifi out to my garage which is an all metal building. With the doors closed, I can't receive local FM radio stations nor a cell signal, no hint of my wifi signal without the extender. However with this extender now my wifi signal makes it in thourgh the 3x4' window. I placed the extender near a window in my house approximately 70' from the window into my garage (not a straight shot) With my laptop on a table next to my work bench I get 3 bars on the wifi signal. Same with my iPhone. Much better than I anticipated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major WiFi Improvement Problem; poor WiFi reception for rooms on the opposite side of house. With the extender in place poor reception area's of home are just as fast as the side of house where WiFi router is. Set-up was quick and simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliability questionable Set up is difficult. Did not work per instructions. Had to go to website for assistance. Took several tries to make it connect with everything. Made a relocation of the device for better coverage. When I unplugged and plugged back in at new location it lost its programming and had to re-initiate everything. Hoping this doesn't happen during power outage while gone from property. Due to this I would not recommend for use with security equipment. Once up and running appears to work quite nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NetGear N300 WiFI Range Extender I was using another brand of WiFi extender and it kept dropping signal. Out of frustration I searched a new extender and read reviews on the Netgear brand which were very good. I have been using the N300 for 3 weeks and very satisfied.

The wifi extender works just as advertised and even more so from my experience, it boosted my wifi speed and increased the radius of functioning wifi. My N300 wifi range extender is an absolute necessity in my home.

I installed the NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700) in less than 20 minutes and problem solved! Great product, no issues whatsoever, I've already forgotten it's there!
