The ceiling in this studio is absolutely wild and very rough on wifi signals. I have been having issues finding the right location for this router but I'm testing a few ideas as I go. I'm so excited to have more Netgear products on my app to track issues.

The ease of setup for the router is unparalleled and I was able to get online minutes after opening the box. The speed and range of my wifi connection is at least double what it was before and the Nighthawk app lets me manage every device connected to the router seamlessly. In a shared-space household with multiple other tenants living with me, this is very convenient as I can change my wifi password and settings with the tap of a button. For added security we have the Armor firewall which already found a vulnerability in our Blu-Ray player. We like being able to see what's going on with the Firehawk app. So far it is working so well we don't even think about how it is doing its job.

Every couple of weeks my internet goes out, usually everything’s fine with my provider so I have to mess around with the router to get it fixed. A lot of the time I have to do a complete reboot. In between those times it works fine though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mostly satisfied The install and setup was very easy, however, one of the main reasons I purchased it was to connect with my 2.4G garage doors wirelessly which has not been successful despite 1/2 hour on phone with NETGEAR tech support and 3 hours with Chamberlain tech support. No good reason for the failure seems to exist.

I bought this model router because my daughter has it and the cable technician recommended it… it’s super easy to set up with the Nighthawk app and it seems to work really well.. My only complaint would be that the 5G could have a longer range but I guess that’s common with 5G and they could tone down the bright lights on the router itself a little bit but other than that I’m very satisfied And definitely would recommend it

We upgraded to this netgear router and now have zero problems! We frequently run Netflix, a PS4, two computers and 4 phones. No hiccups at all. And to top that off we have rural internet services and this router has been amazing at allowing us to all stay connected in less than optimal conditions.

Finally decided to throw the one that comes with the internet provider and I am so much happier too. Also very consistent, no more random drops of WiFi.

My next router will probably be a R7900 '” Nighthawk X6 AC3000 Tri Band WiFi Gigabit Router. That is, when this one fails, and after a year it is still working flawlessly.

When we updated our sons gaming room no one could use the WiFi while he was gaming or he would “lag”. This lil gadget has made life a lot easier. Where’s he’s not constantly asking each of us to turn our WiFi off so he has a better signal.

It provides incredible downloading speed with a very wide range network span at a low and reasonable price. Never once have I had an issue with this router or any other Netgear product I have purchased! This router works perfectly for online gaming even when there are multiple devices streaming/downloading simultaneously! I highly recommend investing in one of these routers as it is a must have for home/business networking!

Performed well even while having up to 15 devices connected at once. The admin interface is average. Could be better. As far as router perform though, it's great.

My new purchases have always been because of the new technology out there. Netgear has been really reliable over the years. I highly recommend the Netgear AC1750 Smart WiFi Router! Even someone with no experience on setting up a router will not have any problems installing this. It's not to big and I have my modem sitting on top of the router. It provides a powerful signal that reaches all areas of my house. We have a 200 sf Ranch.

It's handles 2 ps4s and two high powered multitasking gaming PCs all at one time. Not to mention all the odd tablets and phones going on in my house. On a slow day I get at least 350 down and 400 up. And that's with my cat5 wires. Can't wait to try this baby on some cat6 wires.

It gives consistently good performance to multiple devices at the same time, without any dip in performance or speed. Having multiple networks is convenient, and the guest network is convenient as well. It is easy to set up, and we have had not a single problem with the router. The range is so good that I connect to the wifi when I'm on the street coming home!

I could never get the thing to stay connected, and if you moved more than 20 ft away devices wouldn't even find it. I returned it after a week and got this Netgear router. Setup was a breeze, and right away it was performing better than the Linksys. I've even dug into the advanced settings and setup a media server using my external hard drive. Even setting that up was easy! Overall great product, would definitely recommend.

I swapped the router with this one and was really easy, was quick and the performance really was over the top even the coverage was like the double... overall is a great unit

My criteria included ease of setup, speed, range, have 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz capability and most of all, "bang for my $bucks." The AC1750 delivered beyond my expectations for speed, and range. Overall, our internet connection speeds went up by factor of 10. Very happy with consistent 115 Mbs download and 12 Mbs upload on 5Ghz, and 99 Mbs download, 11 Mbs upload on 2.4Ghz on Spectrum Cable Internet. The AC1750 is perfect for our medium sized home and the way we use the internet for surfing websites, streaming movies and shows on Netflix and Hulu. I feel all my criteria for a home router have been met.

When researching some of the reviews said this was difficult to setup, which is completely wrong. This router was a breeze to setup and the app is really nice to monitor your home wifi network. It took a matter of about ten minutes to download the app and unbox and have the router up and running. No matter your technical knowledge level, this could not have been an easier process

Had a little bit of trouble setting it up, and the lights are VERY bright (and one constantly flickers, which is not ideal at night since it lives in my bedroom I’ve tried covering them but the light still comes through. One of the hardest things I’ve found is when u need to set your router up as a hub, which is what I did with this one. This one has a check box that for all the work for you. It also has the most powerful signals I’ve ever experienced. All this at a reasonable cost!!

I actually get more speed then I pay for so I can’t complain at all.... It was really easy to set up with the app. I am currently running 3 tvs, 6 alexa devices, a video doorbell, an ipad, and 2 iphones on the 5g channel, and they are all performing as intended with no drop in speed. I live in a 3 story 2000 square foot home, and there are no dead spots with the router on the 2nd level. The associate at Best Buy did not recommend it, but i am glad i went with my gut feeling on this one!

The lights are a little bright if in the open room and it is dark. I’ve put masking tape on them as it’s in a room used as a guest room at times and it solved that.

There was a definite increase in speed compared to the old router I was using. I would definitely recommend this router to anyone and will buy another Netgear product when I need one.

I usually have tech friends help, but with the covid 19 safety measures in place I had to go it alone. It was so easy I thought I did something wrong, started over and did it again. Really remarkable improvement from my previous router, improved coverage area and speed. It covers my 1900sq/ft house without a problem.

Our internet provider did many tests and trips out to my house but it kept dropping I had two different routers and thought for a moment my internet provider was wrong and it WAS them until I purchased this router. I have had it for a few months and haven't had one drop that requires a reboot. It's nice to have reliable wifi again!

It was a little difficult to set up since I needed cell or internet service and my booster doesn't work w/out WiFi and if my WiFi was working I wouldn't have needed the new router

I ran into one problem (which turned out to be a non-problem, and called support for help. I was the 5th person in the queue. Half an hour later, I was the 3rd person in the queue. It was then that I noticed that the router network name WAS appearing in my list of available wireless networks to connect to. I guess the first time through, it took longer for my computer to 'recognize' it. I typed in my NETGEAR supplied password, easily connected to the internet, and haven't had a problem since.

Speed and bandwidth have been good despite having 2 or 3 of our five kids online at the same time. Just using the basic functionality. I haven't used any of the special features. I recommended that my sister buy one. She did, and she's had no problems with it in her home. I think it's a good value in a midrange router.

Previously I had cheap routers that would constantly drop the IP address of various devices requiring me to constantly reset the router. After installing the Netgear AC1750 I have had zero issues. The setup took about five minutes, and only had to reconfigure a couple of my devices. 2.4/5ghz wireless speeds almost doubled, and Ethernet connections doubled as well. The app has good information and help with many features. Only beginning to scratch the surface. I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would not recommend I bought this thinking I needed a router for my 2000 dollar gaming computer and it would not allow my computer to receive more then 20 megs per second on download and would drop my internet at random, my other cheaper computer was getting fast speeds I found the problem in this router I bought a different one and a different brand and it worked I will not recommend this product at all if your computer is expensive it will work great on a cheap computer when it wants to work.

The meeting is really four and a half however they lose a half for lack of good setup instructions which need to include at least one thing and that is to advise if possible to download the Netgear or router app. I struggled with it for a day and once I downloaded the app it took 5 to 10 minutes. This followed by me telling my son anytime holidays you were setting something up if it has an app do that first and save yourself some time!

Setup took all of 5 minutes , used my original network name and password. Within 20 minutes everything that had been connected previously was functional without having to re-sign in. Took away the dead spots also.

Now that I am back in the USA, (Thanks to the Coronavirus), I am able to set up my home office. Of course the Internet had to be setup and that meant a total reset of my Netgear Router. I was dreading it because I had forgotten where I put my instruction manual, but a quick lookup on my phone via Google and I had all the information I needed to reset the router and start fresh. So easy to do, as the moment I reloaded the Netgear Genie on my Mac, it was a breeze to get up and running! Yay!!

The only thing that was keeping it from working is that I didn’t have the app. Which I don’t have cell service at my house so it was difficult to download the app. I had to reinstall my old router to download the app.

The setup was pretty easy and took about 15-20 minutes to get all the settings/firmware updates complete. The tools to monitor your network are great and I’ve enjoyed the user experience. My only hiccup was a few days ago my WiFi just went out? None of my devices were seeing my network, it was unreachable, and no way to reset other than a hard reset. My wired connections had no issue, just my WiFi. It was pretty strange, but has not occurred again so far.

Had to reset the entire system. Then I see tech support is only free for 6 months. Im not going to be happy if I have future problems and have to pay for help. But overall it is working as it should now.

This netgear router looked like a router just like all the others, except that I had Apples that died, then more Apples, then Googles (1 lasted 2 months and 1 lasted 3, then a couple Asus $560 for two) which lasted 3 weeks, nobody would help me or answer my questions. Then I bought this modem and I was blown away. It actually works and the set was super-easy.

The new Netgear is great, it took care of all the issues. I can connect immediately to the internet. It also allows 5G wifi speeds, speedtest of 240 meg besides 2.4G at 110 meg. Finding the setup app was a problem and took time. But once the right one was found, it was very easy, especially walks you thru the steps interactively.

In the past, the installation of hardware has always been a real pain. And then trying to make sense of instruction manuals that accompany the hardware and software has been much too difficult for ordinary computer users. But this installation was truly a rapid, flawless process without the usual stress of new hardware. You should be congratulated for the time and effort in producing a product for real people. It has the capability to do more however it’s not required. It was SUPER easy to setup. I remember trying to setup past routers and it was always so frustrating however this one is basically plug in and go! So far it’s working great.

Unable to simultaneously connect to printer, Alexa and security cameras without losing internet on my phone and iPad. Spent 1 hour with tech services who blamed my printer for the problem. My printer screen says it is hooked up. Doesn’t explain why Alexa and cameras no longer work. Very disappointed.

The one negative was that the phone app doesn't work well for setting up the router because it gets disconnected at certain points. Use your computer instead.

It worked perfectly for both. The 5G stream to our tlelvision has ended some of the lag we had with our service provider's WiFi router. I wanted something powerful, easy (I do enough tech work at work, but that was full featured. This router looks good, has great range, top tier throughput, and meets all my needs. I generally have 4-5 cell phones, a desktop, 4 TV's, 3 Macbooks, and several connected home devices chugging along. I split the devices between 2g and 3g based on range and speed need and everything just works. Love the mobile app also. Helps if I want to change something and I am out in the yard. Overall a great investment for a great price.

The setup is visual and easy, the speed is about 5x what the Valet Plus was with the newer technology and the price is really great. Could have spent twice as much but really not necessary as this absolutely does the job. Not a gamer but I work online and use multiple computers and big programs so this really helps me get through my day more quickly. Thank you !

All devices (Windows, Apple iOS, and Android connected easily, including file sharing between my Apple MacBookPro and Windows 10 desktop. (My cable company only has 200 mb bandwidth at the moment and the modem / router location needs to be optimized.)

My internet company said my laptop was slow because it was old and didn't support 5g networks. This Netgear router is so fast it breathed new life into my laptop at 2.4ghz speed. Now I don't need a new laptop. I turned off the WiFi I my combination modem/router and now just use the modem as modem and the Netgear router runs everything else. Only regret, I should have done this years ago instead of trying to use the WiFi in modem. So glad I bought this dedicated router. Absolute love it, if that is possible!

Its signal is much stronger and more reliable than the Verizon router it replaced, although it still needs to be placed somewhere central to be able to use WiFi reliably anywhere in the house. Setup was clear and easy - good written instructions provided, and while it doesn't have the most user-friendly interface, it definitely doesn't have the worst either. Very nice touch: you can turn off all but one of the very bright lights on the router.

I now have a connection to another building about 200 ft away. Amazing considering this option is not advertised. Used for a wifi router, it is awesome. Easy to set up and you can do a lot more from the Nighthawk app as well. Any issues with the router can be easily resolved from within the app, including creating guest hotspots, changing the Wi-Fi password and etc. Price isn't anything through the roof either, and serves very well.

What a difference, though, in connection speeds amongst multiple devices connected to the new router. Easy to set up, I really like the improved interface, but thankfully, it is still similar enough to the interface Netgear has used for years, making it familiar to navigate. A bit larger than my old router, but worth the upgrade!

Decided that after 4 years it was time to update my router. So far this router is delivering me great service. Speeds are great. Up time is great. No dropped connections.

I can watch anything I want no matter the quality without thinking ' is my signal going to hold up?' If you dont own it. Get it. If you own it, dont change it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing WiFi Speeds I recently updated my network and stopped using the router provided by my ISP. The Netgear is way easier to configure than my old router. Also the 5G WiFi literally gets the same speeds as my hardwired computer. So my iPhone is getting 120 up and 120 down now. Very sleek look. My smart panel looks awesome now because it's paired with the CM700. Great product. Would highly recommend to anyone trying to beef up their home or small business network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect The machine is simple, works well, good price for middle of the road type routers, would get 5 stars if it was easy to get hooked to my computer, but I had to pay my IT man to get it hooked up. He had to do some programming (that I have no knowledge of with my new Windows 10 laptop to get the router to be recognized!! Other than that, I love it.

WiFiHood (our internet provider) recommended getting a Netgear router over other companies based on their experience with issues they have to respond to. We found this router to be inexpensive yet super fast. So far it's been out of this world amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product for me I live in an 80 unit apartment building, with concrete walls on 6 sides and I'm pretty sure my apartment sits above the building's boiler room, so getting a solid signal throughout my two bedroom apartment from my modem in the living room took a lot of trial and error... But with this unit, I've had very few problems since I upgraded to it. At around $120, it was well worth the investment in order to guarantee a solid signal anywhere in the apartment even with a dozen or so devices using it.

My router is at the opposite corner of the house and the router that came with the fiber optic service could not provide a strong signal to that notebook computer. I bought the AC1750 and the speed and signal strength skyrocketed. Couldn't be more pleased with the results.

I wish the WiFi range was a bit better but, with all of the apps and tool Netgear has now, there is no reason for me to get another companies kit.

While I don't understand a quarter of the settings in there I can happily say I've been able to easily do whatever needed doing. The range on this router is better than the Verizon one we had and I believe we've been using this NETGEAR for a couple of years now trouble free.

To this day the router performs exceptionally and without fault. I would recommend this to anyone buying their first router, as the setup is quite easy. But, it does not stop there, I would also recommend this router to anyone looking to purchase their own router rather than renting from an ISP.

I've actually just updated the native app to Nighthawk (Super useful even measures your speed but!! When I measured my speed I always get a consistent 216 mbps.. (200 plan from spectrum) this includes 10 Amazon devices, a PS4, Xbox1, Nintendo switch, my Sony smart tv... basically about 25 devices. Plus some on my netgear range extender. Speedy just the way I like it!

In deciding between NETGEAR and another router brand, the sales person informed me that he has the same internet provider as I do and he has a NETGEAR router.
